1. Thank you Sharon! Now the hard part is deciding on what FO's to offer!
2. thank you ladies! usually the first try is a "NEVER" for me I usually have to re-do!!!!!! I am burning it again now and it is taking the sides with it :rolleyes2 but it is still glowing!!!!!!! I love this wine glass and it didn't get as hot as I thought it would! Love those CSN wicks!
3. Stella, I wasn't shooting for any crystallization either but as I am buring this one, right now, (hot apple Pie -- my FO blend with actual pie crust fo blended with it) the hot throw is awesome!!!!!and it burns all the way to the edge of the container. A little hangup but I am sure it will melt off! I poured into an 8 oz. square mason jar!!! and used a CSN 9 wick. Actually I like the smooth and creamy look in a pillar and container. Any suggestions on how to get this look with the palm wax? Pour at a lower temp? I am going to try the coconut oil with it too! See what happens there! I love experimenting but waiting on the cure time gets me!!!!
4. I don't know how! but was very surprised it actually burned this way!
5. That fo is one of my many experiments LOLOL Actually it is my number 1 best seller! and no not such a a living creature ......:rolleyes2 only in my dreams!!!!!
6. I would use a heat gun or hair dryer to heat the wax in the container then when the wax is melted add your wick!!!! HTH
7. DO NOT MIX VERY WELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :laugh2: Boy was that a joke!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just tried it to see what would happen and man I had air pockets galore!!!!!!!!!! the palm still crystallized but it was awful on top!!!!! :laugh2: kinda slushy looking!!!!!!!!!!!!
8. Sarah you can get them at www.wholesalesuppliesplus.com
9. Ok I finally got to test burn this baby!!!! lol pardon the wax drip on the topside! I do drip a little when I am pouring wax!!!!! I used a CSN 11 wick!!!! I am happy with the results of the burning! I wanted that shell on the side to give off the glow on the sides of the glass!!!!!! The HT was good too!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the wine candle, I used left over wax from pouring, so there are 3 layers and 3 different scents top- cinnabuns, 2nd- lavender 3rd - happy man I tried to get it where it was glowing LOL this is the second burn after 4 hours of burning Same pic but different angle In this pic, I blew out the wick and this is how it burn! So far this burn was a success!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now to test the rest of the candle!!!!!!!!! I will post the results here after I burned it all the way down!!!!!! Oh and the glass IS thicker than what it looks! Trust me I passed over so many beautiful wine glasses but they were too thin!!!!
10. Nice job! I drenched mine in the icing! I didn't add that much cinnamon just a light sprinkle due to it can catch on fire!!!!! Now I want to eat one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
11. yeah ditto on mine too! I love them !!!! They are my best sellers!!!! Mia Bella doesn't make wickless candles .....that was one downfall but since I found palm wax I am in business again!!!!!!!!!!!! Also the wax melts are very popular too! I sell out all the time! Oh on the wanring labels I put this "CAUTION HOT WAX" Place 1 OR 2 wax melts in wax melter. KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN, PETS, AND FLAMMABLE OBJECTS. USE WAX MELTER ON A HEAT-RESISTANCE SURFACE. DO NOT LEAVE WAX MELTING UNNATTENDED! HTH
12. OH MY GOSH!!!!!!!!!!!! My hubby would totally think that was drinkable and actually try to drink it!!!!!!!!!!!
13. pretty candle! have you tested it with the csn 12's if you added more than 1 oz of FO then ou maybe be good at the 12's! I use this size jar and the 10 oz keepsakes! If that fragrance is dense then the 12's may work. You NEED to TEST it!!!!!
14. yep ditto for me too! and as I have worked with FO's in the past 6+ years I am finding that I can sniff out what Fragrances are used in the FO if several are used to make that one perticular fragrance. did that make sense????? it is amazing what fragrances you use to make the rose fragrance!!!!! (sorry no can tell!:lipsrseal ) PS I love experimenting with fragrances (FO)
15. here is a company that sells them http://www.moonglowcandles.net/accessories.htm scroll down on the right!
16. roxi, I use one of my wick pins from my votive molds, (I took off the flat bottom piece LOL) and center the pin in the middle of your mold, you can press it in a little into the mold, (don't poke a hole in it lol) then I use my black wick holder to hold it in place! Works every time and a nice hole for the wick to go thru! HTH I got my black wick holders from Wholesale Supplies Plus but they don't carry them anymore! I have seen them before on another supplier site but can't remember! HTH
17. Ok need specifics like: what size container, how much FO used per pound, wick type and size! then maybe I can help ya!
18. yea adding the black will help a bunch instead of adding a lot of brown color. How would I know this?????:rolleyes2
19. yea what Vicky said!!!!!!!!!!! Get a candle kit cause you will need to learn the BASICS of candle making anyway! it doesn't make a difference on what wax you want to start with! HTH plus you will need to know how to test test and test and that experience is one of the most important task of candle making.
20. I found 2 very thick wine glasses at the dollar store! I ahven't tried them yet cause I pulled a muscle in my right arm and can't move it!!!!!!!! So today was just being on the puter! LOL
21. Thank you Stella! I like you suggestions! That was one of my pet peeves in trying to come up with something about the scents and how much I use etc!!! I have had my candles in my shoppe for 2 weeks now and I am almost sold out! No complaints so far!!! Thank God!!!! Thanks!!!!
22. Now in that case of the 3 layered candles, I have made them before with my old blend of wax but called them "triple layered", not triple scented. Well as soon as I get my sales pitch down on how i want it to say about my candles, cause I want to be honest and then my candle pages will go on my site! Just like my incense sticks, fragrance oils, and bath & body I am honest on those products and will be on the candles which I was before I had to quit! Before.... I made over 200 different kinds of wax melts/embeds, I do have an extensive collection of silicone/plastic molds, candy molds, cookie cutters and various other molds I found at the dollar store!!!! LOL Down here in our southern neck of the woods, we be likin' variety!
23. I love my basement! It is finished and my work area has linoleum! I love it! Quiet (except for my boom box) and I have all the room I need! No body wants to come in! Wonder Why?:rolleyes2
