  1. When I do, I can only use the oils that I have that are said by the mfg to be 100% skin safe, not soap safe, but skin safe. I have I think 6...I have people that are very sensitive to everything but they can use these straight
  2. Wow, lot of colors, lot of investment there. I was using I think it is called DPS? I like them but just bought SS, so far I like them and that you can make so many colors and they give you the formula for them too. Has anyone ever tried Pylam?
  3. ahh, didn't see that one, nice....and thanks for setting me straight on the metal issue!!
  4. Angel where do you get them from or should I say who?
  5. HEY CB, wasn't you that was in on the discussion about cutting with any kind of metal blade causes DOS?? Isn't this cutter made with a metal wire, even if it is stainless steel?? I have looked at this cutter a few times.....and went by it because of the metal wire. Also, is it just one wire so you have to keep moving the log in to cut it? I can't see from the picture, how it really means to work
  6. My pleasure Brenda, thanks for letting me experience this heavenly soap!
  7. OK, I have had the extreme luxury of having one of Brenda's Chocolate Seduction. I could not get out of the shower....this bar is to DIE FOR! I have to run because I am late getting out of here to take my son to his tournament but I had to let everyone know, I am going to cherish, savor and be in absolute heaven with this bar.. Lather, OMG, I thought I was washing with bubble bath.....I didn't use any lotion after I showered to see...and so far I am baby soft and in the desert, trust me I have DRY SKIN. We aren't going to talk about the fragrance. My rename up above should tell you something on that! Brenda, a true award winner, On a scale of 1-10 I give this one a 15+ Thank you Brenda for fullfilling my day today and days to come cause I am going to be smelling this one for a while today.
  8. Lucky you, I couldn't get my D&B number from him. He said you don't get that unless you pay your membership, which I think is rediculous in itself.
  9. Check out these www.merchantexpress.com www.merchantinc.com
  10. I was a director for special events at a strip casino for 8 years.....I will tell you, it is LOTS OF WORK. In this case it would be worth it if there was enough interest. I guess I could put up a pole on it. I think I may have at least one person I know of that would help me with it. I would have to look into places. I think it would be best if it was a two day event here, so everyone could make a visiting vacation, any feedback?
  11. I don't see any butts here! LOL ETA: Top right one, see a oriental set of eyes and smile!!
  12. WOW, last one was in Leonardo, I use to live in Port Monmouth and Belford, 3 mins away from there, now I am way to far from there. I want so much to have one here for the west coast but can't do it alone.
  13. You know, some years ago, lets see 1987 I think it was, I had a retail store and I applied for a D&B number because all the vendors I delt with required it. It was free to get the number. Now, I have to pay $400, $800 and blah blah. Same with personal credit. Years ago it was TRW and you could get your report for free anytime, now I get one a year and have to pay for any others. And they say we are not a communist country but we sure are controlling of what is so called OURS! All you ever hear is, encourage and support the little guy trying to make it. Yeah right, support what, little companies can't get business loans, can't get a D&B number, can't get SH*T. I want to know, if someone inquired about my D&B report, how did they do that if they didn't have a number. According to the guy when I spoke to him, he said....your company will be like a dead issue if you don't have a number to give for inquiries. REALLY!
  14. NOW THAT IS WHAT I CALL SWIRLING!! NICE BARS!
  15. Or anything wrong with pouring the oils into Lye water mix vs. Pouring the Lye water mix into the oils??
  16. OMG!!! What is your issue girl!!!!!????? What kind of butts in the soap?? As in cigarette butts? BRV that doesn't turn, haven't soaped yet, I don't soap till after 11 when the furbabies are in bed, didn't you read. BUT, I did do a BRV last week, I cut it to soon and it kind of mushed but it is still sitting there and still the same color as it was when I made it..... And please tell me, what kind of faces are you seeing my dear????? Spookey, Silly, Smiley, Happy, Sad, Scary?? LOL ETA: OUT OF MY WAY LADIES, I GOT APPROX 1.5 HOURS AND LET THE SOAPING BEGIN!! ROUND TWO, DING DING, DING DING!
  17. Thanks all for the compliments, I guess I shouldn't complain being it was only like my 2nd success that I am somewhat happy with. I am just so picky and want what I want! LOL I don't think I would even be this far without all the help from here.
  18. I poured it in layers and finished it off with some poured through from very high up and then a some just on top....Then took a chop stick and drew pictures in it! But I guess the layer thing is not a good one. Next time I try in the POT!
  19. Exactly as I was taught, You would almost think that CareBear taught me but she didn't! I have never had a problem with adding the liquid oils to the melted hard oils and having it solidify again. Lord knows I have tried a whole bunch of recipes. As for leaving to get RT. I make mine around 5PM and about 11pm, when I am ready to make soaps, they are ready to go. I use to put some cold water and ice in the sink with the lye but don't do that anymore cause it would get it down to 50-65* and would never come back up, no matter how long I left it. Now with it leaving 5-6 hours, they both are at about 90-95* and ready to go. But by any means I AM NO EXPERT, as we all know. But just putting in my two scents.....:tiptoe:
  20. Hmmm, black rasp vanilla and OMH and I think maybe a designer fragrance ETA: But I think I need Brenda, Eugenia, Scented, Carebear or Grumpy maybe to teach me how to swirl in a log though, not gettin it right yet
  21. So is everyone disapointed with me on these swirls?? lol Chickie, these are Bichons and the loves of my life. My youngest son who is 26 says they are treated better than the family, he is right! But I miss my baby that I lost 2 years ago, (beagle/terrier mix) had her from 5 weeks till 16 years old. She died in my lap.
  22. WELL IT IS CUT!!! Swirls didn't come out the way I had hoped but nice enough for a first success and they smell ummm ummm good! Look like clouds to me! Now off to the foot doctor and I will be back...
