  1. Try one of the tin can companies like Independent Can company
  2. I have had that first one from Reikes, It is oval but like an envelope if that makes sense to you. It is like pointed on the ends
  3. Where is a good place with a good price for DPG?
  4. Split it in half, trim and clean them up and sell them as guest size soaps.
  5. Oh, there will be another co-op I am sure, hang in there.... I don't use it in place of anything, made new recipes and put it in them
  6. I am sympathetic to that one.... I have a pad on my night stand. I get brain storms in my head, ideas of soap and lotion additions and am afraid if I fall asleep I won't remember them when I awake. So I turn on my reading light and start making notes. My husband thinks I write in my sleep, he is probaby right:laugh2: I don't sleep walk, I sleep write!
  7. I had never used Babassu either, got it in my columbus foods co-op and I tell you....once you use it, there is no looking back!!! I should of actually gotten more.... And I agree Paul, Mike is one terrific guy, he has been soaping for 15+ years and is a true soapaholic.
  8. I have always said BCN has the strangest supply site to navigate.
  9. I had PP virtual account and when you try to process a card through it....if the address or something is wrong, like the CVV number on the back or address, it rejects it, but the person who owns the card sees it as a charge and then within 24 hours, it credits back. That is the one thing I don't like about PP, virtual account. Customers sometimes will tell you, Oh I gave you the wrong exp date, here, do it again and then it rejects again and then you find out that the CVV number was wrong or the address it bills to is wrong. Each time you try to process that card, it will show up as a charge and then within 24 hours it will come down MICHI, I think that is what PP did to you. Someone was trying to process your credit card through a paypal virtual terminal but probably got declined being they didn't have your address or if they did was trying to guess the CVV number or something to that effect but they didn't have all the info. But PP still processed a correct cc number to your account and then it declined and it took the 24 hours or less to void off. I have since left paypal Virtual terminal for a cc process company that is also a bank. They told me that this happens with paypal cause they can not control the credit cards process, they are not a bank, they use a gateway to process through a third party bank and they can't control the charges. I once had asked PP to reverse the charges that were on a customers account 7 times and all they could say is, they can't do that but they will go away in 24 hours but it did put holds on the amount for all 7, needless to say, my customer was not happy. Now my new cc process company can reverse them the minute I call and give authorization to reverse them.
  10. Thanks JBREN!!! PERFECT!
  11. Thanks a bunch MA! I tried both but came up with nothing...Guess I can try and contact him through his website
  12. An oval loaf mold? I have someone that wants CP soap in oval shape but it is to hard to make tiny batches to make them in the MP type molds. So I was wondering if anyone has seen an oval loaf or log type mold. (Not half moon)
  13. On Behalf of Baby Levi, We Thank You! 10/10/07 Theresa's Baby Shower 10/10/07 Thank you from Theresa and Baby Levi 10/10/07
  14. Gosh you guys are making me feel good, I didn't try to use my soap till 6 weeks cause that is what I was told.... I would look at it everyday and druel!
  15. Pending on the size of them, use clear packing tape but cut it with a scissor, not with a tape cutter that makes jagged edges. It will make the label look shiny if that is ok
  16. Cute, really cute, I love those fortune cookies!
  17. I want to say, DITTO, this is a great little cutter. Paul is a dream puff to work with....he gets it right and makes sure it stays right!! I even shared a tip with him... Thanks Paul, for making my soaping life so much easier. And well wishes on your recovery process, so glad to hear no chemo needed!
  18. TB, I had cancer surgery also in June. I asked my doctor what she thought would work, she said well, not common household items, but if you can find some aloe vera gel that has vitamin E, it works wonders. I proceeded to tell her what I sell and she said, USE IT. I swear to you, I had surgery on June 29th and the scare is almost totally gone. She now buys bottles of the mix from me for her patients.
  19. Any local label or printing place will make them for you.HTH I had never seen there site before and just was browsing it. She uses all Taylored Concepts oils, she actually copied his scent list and printed it on hers. Amazing. ETA: I am not complaining about TC or their products as I have used them in the past. Just thought it was amazing that she lists his entire oil list on her site.
  20. Hey Ruth, great, great looking soap, your a natural!! As for the BRV, depends on who's you use if it will turn. I do BRV all the time and I have never had one turn on me yet. I have a set that is about 3-4 months old and looks the same as it did the day I made it.
  21. I found you can clean the two grooves really well with an old credit card. Because of where I live, we use casino player cards ( the are the same material as cc) ETA: Just noticed, thanks for letting me know about the blades at KB carebear.
  22. Top you are probably right, I do have one recipe that I don't discount water and it has to sit 2-3 days in mold before I can pop it. So I do make a liner for when I do that recipe, which isn't to often. BUT, before I poured soap into the liner, I messed with it a long time and got it to fit perfectly, then I took it out, traced it on cardboard, cut out the cardboard and now I have a template so I don't have to pull my hair out and try to avoid making that recipe anymore. Sometimes, when I have free time (haha) I sit and watch tv and just cut a bunch of freezer paper from the roll, sit and trace and cut out while I am watching the idiot tube. Then I have a bunch done.
  23. That is my problem outside, it gets to breezy out. I can set it up permanently upstairs in the spare bedroom but such a hassle taking product up and down. ETA: I did forget to tell you GA that the pics look fab
  24. I don't use any water on mine at all. But I have sliced off a few nail tips for sure. I am not happy with it for all my soaps. I have a few soaps that don't get real real hard and they don't plane so well. I have to use the veggie peeler for them. But I really do like it for when I want my soaps to have flat smooth tops, it planes them good For replacement blades, where do you get them?
