  2. Thanks JayByrd, I liked the way the pics came out too. Don't tell anyone, but I thought the background was nice for the pics, it is my patio chair cushions and I added some seashells here and there. lol
  3. That is so wonderful Paul, A Blessing from God! PS, sent you an email, did you get it?
  4. Thank you all!!! All I can say is I AM TRYING! They are acually all testers, each one is a different recipe....it has been fun. Can't wait to decide what recipes I am keeping so I can make more.... I know for sure I am keeping the recipe from the Wildoats and Honey, that recipe came from a special person and I JUST LOVE IT!
  5. OTFLOL, your not looking hard enough, actually I see a D in one and a J in another, so I guess I have two bars!!

OK, NOW IT's TIME TO PLAY MONTY HALL AND LETS MAKE A DEAL!!! hehehe One of my bars for one of your bars....I don't even care about the scent, just madly inlove with the colors and when I grow up, I want to be able to do Pyscho Swirls like Julie!! I really really do, I try, but each one has been a mish mash disaster.
  9. Thanks GA!! Hum Hum, Ms Scented, I have never received a <cough, cough> tester from you!!!
  10. Lets see if they can be opened now ETA: I think that worked, the colors even came out better, they came out right this time
  11. NOPE, Not surprised! Just like smart people in this world, there are not so smart people in this world. Who knows, maybe they have lots of money and don't need protection. Next time your in there, ask them if they have liability insurance on their candles, you may get surprised again. They probably will give you a blank stare. lol
  12. Hi Jeff, I know I have spoken to you before about your mold. I have a few questions, probably should have PMed you but maybe someone else will benefit from them. 1) It is obviously a 6# mold, so can it be divided into 3 - 2# molds? 2) What size bars does it make (width, height) 3) Can you make it without the cutter feature, really don't need that 4) What would the price of it be without the cutter Lastly 5)How big are the bars, how many and how much are your slab molds? Thanks, hope I didn't offend anyone asking so many questions. Didn't think I was hijacking the thread but maybe I did?? Just a little?
  13. I have been a busy soaper the last few days and wanted to share! Black Rasp Van Cherries Jubilee Herbal Spa OMH Pineapple Pear'adise Cypress Red Tea Skies the Limit - it was suppose to be more blue, but it failed me Strawberry Lemonade Wildoats and Honey Think I got it all! Hope the pics come out ETA: Darn they won't blow up! I don't understand why...they are jpg
  14. I pour a narrow strip of lip balm and then cut them into tiny squares. I put them in a flat tupperware, then put freezer paper on top and then another layer and so forth. If they want a sample of lip balm, I have tooth picks, I jab one in the tupperware and hand it to them with a small napkin. Other samples, I have one fragrance in hand lotion, one fragrance in sanitizer, another fragrance in Body Butter, I have a cup with those little dip test spoons next to body butter that says, please use spoons, do not put fingers in body butter and never have had anyone do it. My lotion is a pump and my sanitizer is a snap cap dispenser. November I am doing two shows and first time doing bar soap. What I want to do is have a sliver of soap so they can smell it, then I have trays with the bars in them, they can't touch the bars but they can pick the bar they want by pointing to it, then I will pack it up for them. I will offer, soap boxes, muslin bags or decorated paper wrap.
  15. Who sells Dendritic Salt, preferrable west coast.
  16. Thanks all, I will have to give it a try and see if she likes it but she has a long wait!
  17. That is what I was trying to figure out, who is FOD?
  18. They are so expensive, BC has it for I think $18 a pound I want to soap with it but afraid that will make the soap to pricey.
  19. Has the best and cheapest Blue Sugar?
  20. making cp soap with 100% Olive Oil? Someone asked me today if I made 100% olive oil soap. Has anyone? What can I expect of it? Do you fragrance and or color it?
  21. I see everything but the toads. The witch, looks like to me a mosquito on her nose, not chin! That of course is if we are looking at it the same!!! Other than soap gremlins or fairies, do you have some ghosts in your home that possess your soaps and allow your colors and swirls to make pictures?LOL
  22. Really nice....clean, neat and yummy looking
  23. Well I found some time to make some soaps and wanted to share. The ones that you see that looks bright pink/purple aren't really that bright, I think I had to much lighting. It was suppose to be more red as the fragrances is Mac Apple and is making me fruit hungry! It came out actually more like a dusty pink. Either my camera sucks @ $400.00 or my monitor does. I think it needs calibrating but don't know how to, not yet anyway! Next to them is Pineapple Pearadise but it started to seize a bit, so the swirls failed and I didn't make the yellow, deep enough...but smells like really strong tropical juicy pineapples with a background of Pears Last one, that is still in the mold is Wildoats and Honey. BOY, I tell you, I thought I loved my OMH, this has got it all over it.....It is a little more yellowish/Orange in the picture but it is actually like a spiced apricot color Well, that is it for now! Will show the cut Wildoats and Honey when ready to cut.
  24. I have made silicone molds and still do for myself. I do have a few people that I have made molds for too. I buy in 25# pails and I will tell you that if you are going to get good RTV (as it is called) it is very pricey. Not to mention the shipping. It is easy, but time consuming....and if you don't have the product you are making a mold of installed properly the mold can be useless. Not like candles, you can't turn around and remelt it, doesn't work. I had at one time thought about starting a business making silicone molds but in that volume it takes up alot of space to make to them. Plus if you make stock they are a PITA to store properly, lots of room. But I do have to tell you, once in awhile I find something neat and decide to drag all the goods out and make a mold of it. When I am done, the fun begins to see what my creation looks like in wax or soap.
