  1. Me too, bought mine on ebay, it is collapsable. I bought the big one, it is like 3.5' x 3.5' I rarely use it, never have somewhere to set it up. On nice days, I use it sometimes in the back yard. I should use it more...thank goodness it only cost me $28 shipped
  2. I was told it was a good antioxitant (spl?)
  3. He told me that if you should do that and they warp, to soap it in very very hot water, then lay it down on a flat surface while it is still hot and put something heavy on it. And if that didn't work, to soak it again and assemble it, it usually helps he says He also said it is best to re-assemble them after cleaning them, to help keep their natural shape and store them upside down
  4. I wouldn't mind knowing the answer to this too. I have alot of flax seed here and was going to put it through the blender or food processor to grind it up. But not sure if there is a plus to doing it.
  5. I have 6 of them 3-4# and 2-4# and a 3 in 1 and I don't need to line any of them. The only time I line these or any mold is when I want to get it out of the mold in a hurry to do more soaps, then I can lift out the liner in an hour and it will continue to cure in the liner. But I don't Gel so
  6. I love the last two sets of pics, those are really cool
  7. I bought it about a month ago and just love it!
  8. I did a wood table tray to try.
  9. Ruina, supposidly the one from MMS (squalene) the one with fish and I have used it, no fishy smell. I ordered a pound from Soapers Choice to compare cause again, supposidly Squalane (Like SC sells) is suppose to have better properties in it and I guess have better working properties for lack of better words
  10. IF you look at my post I recently did in the gallery, everyone of those were done with select shades
  11. What Mike said is that both have an olive oil base but that Squalene does have at least some fish oil in it. He said if you want to be sure, always ask for a certificate of analysis. That will tell you for sure. He said, he has always seen that the certificates for Squalene always winding up with having some amount of fish oil in it. This started because I challenged him on the fact that MMS was cheaper than he was. So I bought myself a 1# bottle from him and I am going to compare cause I do use MMS's.
  12. That is exactly what she said, she smells rotten afterwards. So she wants me to try and find a soap for her. I think maybe I will give her some small testers, as I do about 6 or 7 different recipes and see if one of those work. I don't make a castile, YET, but if the others don't work, I will make her one but she will have to wait along time to try it. Thanks all for your feedback!
  13. I have always wondered why one supplier sells Olive Squalane and some spell it Squalene and some spell it Squalane. I wanted to offer it in the Oil Co-Op we were doing but someone pointed out that the sage sold it for less. So I asked Mike at Soapers Choice, who has been making CP for 11 years. He told me the answer but said, don't take my word for it, google it, so I did and thought you all would find this interesting, though maybe most of you knew this already. Soapers Choice - Spells it Squalane MMS - Spells it Squalene Squalene vs. Squalane Squalene (spelled with an "e") is an oil extracted from the liver of deep-water sharks. It helps increase immunity, prevent chronic illnesses, fight cancer and aging and helps strengthen the skin. Squalene works by releasing oxygen into the cells of the body, helping to prevent cell deterioration. Squalane has long been used in cosmetic preparations to soften skin, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, and as a bactericidal agent which speeds wound healing. Squalane (spelled with an "a") has, essentially, the SAME chemical components, however, in vegan form, as extracted from olives. It is frequently (and incorrectly) referred to as squalene, when in fact, it has no shark liver oil components.
  14. I didn't get a post card from Jar store but then again I don't deal with them either. BUT, I think someone should get a hold of them and ask them who they are buying their list from. You know, some businesses sell their database info to those companies you can buy listings from. Those listing companies also once a month go to each state and get the newest business license additions too.
  15. Your welcome It is fun to entertain people, even when your not trying. LOL
  16. What is the purpose or advantages of a salt bar??
  17. I have a customer that buys my candles and says that she can't use soap for some reason. When she washes with soap after she is dries herself off, her body has a terrible odor to it. She said she has never tried a handmade bar of soap. BUt she wanted to know if I knew what this happens to her? And if I make a bar of soap that would help this not happen. Has anyone ever heard of this or know an answer?
  18. Top I wondered the same thing after I posted it, who the heck is andy?? LOL But it wouldn't let me go edit the title. Actually I think, he is the little man that helps me with my soap making, he sits on my work table. hehehe
  19. My kitchen is red walled....I love it, was scared at first, seemed extreme but when I was done, it was great. Little piece of wall over cabinets is in black. My kitchen is decorated all Coca Cola so the red was super. But when I tell people that my kitchen is real red, they go REALLY!
  20. No, just got an email on it, haven't gone to the site to check it out yet.
  21. HOLY MOLY, can you tell me, what colors are NOT in those??? Better yet, blow up the picture and we will have a contest to see who can count most acurately how many colors are in. How the heck do you people use these bars, I would just want to look at them. I see that spermy baby..... in the other bars top middle, I see another spermy, orange with a yellow tail!
  22. Oh Oh, see my name in one of those too!!! LOL! Looks like lavender, pink and blue swirls in there, all the colors in my master bathroom! You have red walls, YES! I thought I was the only person that had a room with red walls.
