  1. Lemon Drop from Millcreek did well for us. It is a nice tart lemon.
  2. I am in search of a wooden daisy that I got at Pier One. It is like the wooden roses except that it is on a reed stem and not a wrapped metal stem. They sell them to put it with their reed diffusers. I would love to find them to sell with our diffusers. The only ones I could find are the wrapped metal stems. Has anyone seen these anywhere? Thanks.
  3. We get our Starburst pillar wax from CandleScience. I never used the Feather, but I think it is the same except for the pattern. The starburst, for us, is easy to use. We do dye it, because we like the looks of it. The biggest tip with the palm is cool very slowly and heat your molds with the heat gun. We wrap ours with towels. We are new with palm also. What I would suggest is to get a few lbs. of each and play with it.
  4. For packaging that is closed, I love gable boxes. If you wanted something more feminine www.yourorganzabag.com has big organza bags that are inexpensive. Good luck, when you get it figured out post pictures.
  5. I swear I did a search and did not come up with that thread! After much reading I'm pretty sure we are not putting this size pillar in our line. I wanted to make them for a swap that I'm in, but I don't think that is going to happen either. I didn't think about the melt pool being so small. Duh! They are so darn cute, you just can't light them-basically a useless candle!
  6. New palm pillar maker here. We got our 3 inch palm pillars wicked to where we want them, but having some questions about our 2 inch palm pillars. Since they are so narrow should you wick them to all consume melt or leave a rim. We have ours wicked with a csn 7 and it broke through immediately. Not sure how to go on this one.
  7. I love the votive shrink wrap sleeves that I get at www.soapwizards.com They just leave a small area on the top and bottom that are open.
  8. It is nothing against Fillmore at all, Cargill prices are skyrocketing everywhere, it is just frustrating because we made ourselves like C-3 when we had all of the kinks worked out of the ezsoy and you all know the testing involved when you change something. The one positive thing is that we do have the knowledge of both waxes and can change back and forth with the rising prices of both.
  9. We just ordered 200 lbs of GB 415 from MillCreek. It is still only $39.50 per 50 LB. We in the last year switched from this to C-3 because we could pick it up locally (about 1 hr away) at that point it was the same price per lb. It was a PIA to retest everything and find new wicks, but we figured it would be worth the savings in shipping. Now the C-3 is $60.00 per 50 lbs. so at this point we are switching back because the price difference with the shipping is $6.00. We can't afford to run an hour away for $6. Just when we had it all figured out:sad2: I'm so frustrated, but I'm sure I'm no the only one.
  10. I just saw cinnamon clove at Brighter Scents, but I never tried it. Good luck
  11. They look like a great solution. Thank you so much.
  12. Millcreek has Litsea and Basil and it is wonderful!! It is lemony- I'm not sure what litsea is, I think it is a chinese herb. Kangaroo blue has very sexy for her, but I've never smelled it.
  13. We are going to test AH Clove this week (we are letting it cure) oob it smells great. We have used Peaks and love it, but are having a little trouble with the wicking.
  14. Hi Folks, I am looking for someone who makes stain sticks. I need to purchase some to save my Husband from certain death.LOL- Long story short- I need to get out stains from my son's nice coat. Thanks
  15. I second Peak's. It smells just like the real thing.
  16. I ended up getting some 4 oz with black lids off of the classes, but I did find a 4 oz jar at Fillmore container that looked like a baby food jar and had several different lids to fit it.
  17. Hi Kellie, If by chance you are using palm or soy wax, there is a thread at the beginning of the vegetable wax section that has a list of FO that works for others. We use nature wax c-3 and we use a good amount of Peaks oils that work for us.
  18. Yeah, that is the review I wanted to hear. Off to shop at Bittercreek. We bought the chunk mold that they have listed with the votive mold and really like it.
  19. Does anyone know of another supplier besides WSP for Yankee dupe Sun and Sand. Love the oil, don't love the price. I don't mean to be cheap, but.......I'm cheap.
  20. I love Stella and I'm not at all a perfumie kind of girl. That looks like another must have from Donna!!
