Candybee. .that is really what I am doing. . Like the soap I shared the other day.. I am using clear soap an just adding a slight amount of color so that is stays transparent.. I just wanted to add a bit of something so it would be more moisterizing.. The m&p I used was not the diamond clear..

I wanted to ask you experts on M&p. when adding extra oils or bUtters to clear melt and pour, does it take away the clear look? I want to add something to make the soap more moisturizing so thought I would ask here.

Thanks for the compliments. . I will have to say. .it was challenging. I have a greater respect for those that do m&p all the time. .not quite the same as cp soaping. I don't have anything else planned.. I need to get more m&p base. .i barely had enough to do this project. I think I am going to try Stephison (sp?) M&P next. .From essentials by Catalina. . And I want to try adding oils an butters to it to make it more moisturizing. .

I made a silicone mold last week casting roses..to use in this soap. My new mold works like a charm.. So here is my first ever melt and pour.. It didn't come out exactly as I planned. .but I am happy with my first try. I need to come up with a name. . It is scented with BB Champagne mixed with. .BB Strawberry.. My Valentine Soap

I have bought it on diffrent forums in co-ops But it has been 2 or 3 years ago. . I also think of its getting hard to find good quality.. But if you do..it smells absolutely wonderful

Thanks candybee. . I am glad to know that about patchouli honey. .it is one of my favorites. . i will have to try it in m&p. And yes it turns my cp soap a dark caramel..

That sounds like it would smell awesome. . So is the general rule if a fo. does not discolor in cp soap. .it won't discolor in m&p?

I am going to give a try. .for the first time. .just for fun.. Making m & p.. Is Fragrance used kind of like cp soap making? Trial and error? Or can you Gage the vanilla content in the fragrance. .if it will discolor the m&p? I am going to be working with mostly clear m&p..making color embeds.

no..i don't have soap 3... figuring numbers...has always seemed to evade me...lol.. i can do normal math fine...but this figuring out..not so fine..

ok...if i do a 50 - 50... and say my ratio is 35% ...how do i know how much more water to add..that is another concern for me...

i master batch too...just not nearly as much at a time as some of you do.. i master batch 10lb at a time.. and use my gal. size olive oil jugs. if my oils need a little melting, i put it in a sink full of hot water.. but it sure makes soaping day a breeze.. i just wish i could get enough nerve to master batch my lye..

berts oils, i believe are some of the most missed fo's ever.. i miss them so much.. i never found a replacement for it..
