  1. I am thinking about getting an embroidery machine. Does anyone have a sewing/embroidery combo machine? If so, what brand and model and how well do you like it? Thank you.
  2. I agree with Steve on that you cannot beat KY's scents.
  3. I have not been making candles for about two years and have several bottles of FO. They still smell good. What is the average self life of FO's? Would they still smell good in wax after this long? Thanks.
  4. I did a search but could not find an answer. Who purchased KY Candle Wax? Thank you.
  5. Those of you who sell potpourri at craft shows, do you only sell it prepackaged or do any of you have it in bins/baskets and let people scoop and bag? Thant you.
  6. Found the answer to my question.
  7. Four to five years ago I purchased by the gallon bag spring floral potpourri mixtures and cannot remember who I purchased from. Any suggestions on who sales potpourri by the gallon bag? Thank you.
  8. I will tell her how old they are and she can smell each of them and decide for herself. I would never try to pull one on someone because I would not want it done to me. Thank you for your responses.
  9. I have some FO's that are probably 4-5 years old, and some that are 2-3 years old. If when I take the cap off and they still smell like they should, will they still be okay to use in candles? I have someone wanting to buy my candle supplies and don't want to sell something that isn't good. How old have you kept oils for and still was okay to use? Thank you.
  10. I want to purchase some of the enamelware soap bowls that was in a co-op on here. Will someone give me the link to the site they are from? Thank you.
  11. I have been reading about making potpourri with several recommendations on amount of oil to add. Is 1/4 to 1/2 oz. oil to 16 cups of potpourri sound about right? Thank you.
  12. Try Alabaster Candle Supply in Alabama. Their web address is alabastercandlesupply.com
  13. I purchased this scale off of eBay: http://www.oldwillknottscales.com/my-weigh-kd7000.aspx he has a large selection of scales.
  14. Check this link out to make them by hand: http://www.wicks-wax-scents.com/candle-making-instructions-snowman.html Here is a link where you can buy a mold: http://www.flexiblemolds.com/christmaswinter.htm
  15. Someone correct me, but seems like I read on here that there is a company that you can send some of the wax to and they can figure out what is in it. I am probably wrong but thought I would mention it.
  16. Has anyone tested both KY's Pumpkin Pie and Aroma Haven's Pumpkin Pie Spice? I use KY's but would like to find out if AromaHaven's has a stronger spice smell. Thank you.
  17. No, I don't have a burner yet. I was wanting to find out if I fill the portion cups all the way up if most of the burners will hold that much (1 5/8 ounce). I will go out and buy a couple of different tart burners today and do some testing.
  18. Been reading the post about portion cups and have a question. I have a few of the 2 ounce cups so I filled one up with water and it will hold 1 and 5/8 ounce. How much will most tart burners hold?
  19. I think Bell and Traders sold out to another company and here is the link: http://www.wicks-wax-scents.com/air-fresheners.html
  20. Is this what your looking for? I have never ordered from them, so don't know anything about the company. http://www.cellobags-clear.com/cellobags/L6H.htm
  21. Not sure how they compare in price, but have you looked at Alabaster Candle Supply? They even have this one style of divider that is molded. Not sure what size of candle will fit in it. If intested, give them a call to see what size will fit. Their web address is: alabastercandlesupply.com
  22. Cissy, Thanks for your response. Sounds like a plan. Off to order individual molds.
  23. Have you done a search for Swans on this board yet? If not, I would start there. If you don't find an answer about their wax, I would order a sample before I order a big box of it and do some testing. If you’re not sure which to order, call and talk with them about each wax you would be interested in. I think I would try them first because of the cost of shipping. Maybe even try a few of their FO’s while ordering. Good luck.
