  1. Since it was Sunday I would assume that they are still on sale this week. They had the regular votive holder, flower pot votive holder, and another type of holder for .33 cents each.
  2. I know it says to list the net quantity of contents on your candles but how does it need to be worded? Can you just put: 16 ounces 16 oz. net weight 16 ounces net weight 16 oz. I purchase my front label so they all say the same. I also have the warning label and a scent label on the lid. I was thinking about putting it on the scent name label. Does it matter where on the container it is?
  3. I use soy with cottenseed and am trying to wick the orange pumpkin jar with witches hat. I first used two 60 cottons and the melt pool was too deep. I pulled the wicks and put in two 51 cottons. Great melt pool but the scent throw doesn't seem very strong. Does anyone have any suggestions on what other type of wick I could try that would burn in between the 51 and 60 cotton? TIA.
  4. Sorry for the duplication if you read this over on KY's message board. I need to purchase several different size polypro/cello bags but don't want to have to purchase large quantites. I found one site that sells minimum of 25 but after I figured out which ones I wanted I noticed that they are on vacation until 9/6 and I need to order today so I can get them early next week. I have been searching but can't find any with low minimum. Does anyone know of a supplier that sells in quantities of 25 or 50? TIA. Donna B.
  5. I am going to call them tomorrow and see what they say. Thanks.
  6. If you receive one or two broken jars in a shipment that cost approximately $2.00 each do you just considering it a loss or call the company and let them know? I'm thinking consider it a loss. Just wanted to see what others do. Thanks.
  7. Here is one site. She has 3 (I think) different styles. Look under muffins, cinnamon rolls and then under special occasions. Here is the link: http://candlesforalloccasions.com/siliconemolds.html Here is another company: http://www.rosescandles.com/wedding_cake_molds.htm And the last one: http://www.flexiblemolds.com/wedding.htm Hope you can find something you like at one of the above sites.
  8. I use the really narrow satin ribbon. I buy it to match the color of the car tag.
  9. I have one of the pumpkin jars and I'm thinking I purchased it at Michaels last fall. I never did use it. Not even sure where I put it. Maybe they will get them again this year.
  10. If I'm not mistaken, I think I read last year that the jar is made just for the company that makes the candle. Maybe someone else will come on here that knows for sure.
  11. Has anyone use either the metro or urn jar with soy? Thinking about using one of these jars and curious if there are any big wicking issues with either of them. Thank you.
  12. I got mine from Old Will Knot off of eBay. I think it is KD600. Weighs in tenths of ounce and has a tare button.
  13. I got my 4 and 6 foot tables at Sams. I use the tables in the basement when making candles and I find it a little hard to carry them upstairs by myself. Sams now has a table that folds in half. I'm not sure how long it is but I'm thinking about buying them so that it is easier to carry up the stairs.
  14. I have a couple molds at home that I have been playing around with but since Peaks is having a sale on their seamless aluminum molds thought I would purchase a couple more. I am new at making pillars. Could someone tell me why you would buy a concave mold over a flat top or flat top over the concave mold? Is it just a preference? TIA.
  15. I'm lucky in that I can drive 10 minutes to get them. I was using a jar that I had to tie a hang tag on because the jar was not smooth. Got tired of that. Have no problem with this jar. Love it.
  16. I don't post very often on here and the reason I PM'd the web address is I'm not sure what we can and cannot post. I had something deleted the other day which was no big deal but don't want to post something again that I should not. Here is the link I PM'd for the 3 tier cardboard display: http://www.bestofboards.com/jimbritton/jbrittnpricing.htm Edited: I forgot to mention. I have not used this display but someone on one of the message boards had posted her display at a craft show and she had used it. She had put material over it and it looked really nice.
  17. I would ship on Mondays and try to get them to give you an address where there will be somone to get the package so it doesn't sit outside in the heat all day.
  18. 19. I have not tried any but found this list on a candle company website: http://www.oldvirginiacandle.com/ scroll down and click on triple collection on left side.
  20. I have either purchased embeds or other products. Great customer service. Nice embeds. Synascents: http://www.synascents.com/Synascentsmenupage.htm Tropical Breeze Candles: http://www.tropicalbreezecandles.net/store/index.asp Shenanigan: http://www.candlesbathandpotpourri.com/store/ One of the above sells on eBay and has a large package deal at a good price. I think it may be Synascents. If you go over to the Scent Review message board and do a search for embeds you may find others as well.
