  1. Paper is very heavy so I would think any savings buying from a wholesaler would be eaten up in shipping.
  2. Your instructions made sense once I read them through a second time. :rolleyes2 I'm off to try it now. I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks!
  3. Yes, sleeping bag style is the right way to describe it. Thanks for offering to help.
  4. I want to make a snuggle sack for a cat that has mylar inside for a crinkle effect. It would have a layer of fleece, then mylar and then a cotton cat print fabric. I have tried two different ways to layer all of this and I'm not coming up with the right combination so that when I turn it there is no raw edges inside. I have done a search and nothing comes up. If anyone can help me I would be very appreciative. Carole
  5. Hi Debbie, You said that you use feather palm for clamshells. I see that the pour temp is 185-195° F for this palm. Do you still pour at 160 so the clamshells won't melt? Thanks for your help. Carole
  6. Thanks to everyone for your help. I did go ahead and order this bag from Papermart to get in on their 5 cent organza bag sale. I don't really need 1000 bags but I'm sure I'll find a use for them in the future.
  7. I have been pouring WSP clamshells for some time with no problems. However, yesterday and today I have had three pours where the bottom pops a leak on just one. The strange thing is that it is usually on the 3rd or 4th clamshell. I am pouring at 160 degrees. I would think that if my temperature was too high it would be in the 1st or 2nd clamshell. Do I have a few bad clamshells? Is anyone else having this problem? I am getting towards the end of this order of 200 of these. Not having had this happen before I'm getting pretty frustrated. What a mess to clean up. The wax runs under the ones next to the leaker and how can I clean up the good ones? Thanks for any advise and help.
  8. Does anyone carry these bags in quantities than less than 1,000 ?? Specifically the 3 5/16 x 5 1/8 or 4 x 6. Thanks! http://www.papermart.com/Product%20Pages/Product.aspx?GroupID=15040&SubGroupID=15041&ParentGroupID=18881#15041 edited to add size
  9. I'm using Candlescience UV Inhibitor and the directions say "1/2 - 1" teaspoon per pound. Do you use the 1 teaspoon for darker colors or am I all wrong on this? Does it depend on which type of wax your using? Appreciate any feedback. Carole
  10. ohhhh, ohhhhhhhh, ohhhhhhhhhh......you can use B&B dyes? I have tons of those! Thanks! Carole
  11. I've just started playing around with aroma beads and have used liquid colorants. Everything I have read about aroma beads says to use liquid colorants. I want to use Candlescience because I can pick up there. Their liquid colors are sort of limited. I do like the colors of the Reddig-Glo Dye Chips. Is there anyway I can make the dye chips work in aroma beads? I haven't even tried the chips in wax yet, just doing some investigating. Thanks! Carole
  12. Thanks Shelley and Brenda for your suggestions. Also, good point Brenda! I'll try the corn cob stuff. Carole
  13. http://www.artfire.com/modules.php?name=Shop&op=listing&product_id=190991 I am thinking about trying to make something like shown above. This particular one is not filled with cat litter but I have found instructions that do use it. I'm wondering if I can add FO to the litter. If anyone has done this can you tell me how much FO to add. Thanks! Carole
  14. I poured 4 tureen jars today with IGI-4794 instead of IGI-4630. I use the 4794 for tarts and 4630 for jars. Will these jars still perform correctly on a melter? My excuse for my boo boo? I quit smoking yesterday morning!
  15. I have been making tarts in clamshells and they have been well received. My thought is why would someone want to sell both tarts and wickless? If anyone is selling both how do you market the two different products? Thanks!
