I am anxious to see what the supplier says. I loved J300 for my layered containers. I just haven't taken the time to start testing other waxes to replace it.
Purses are a big thing around here. You can get some really cute ones at wholesale sites. I found one the minimum order is $100 and shipping is always $10. The handmade purses are also big around here. I would love to get into sewing them but just not enough time.
Hey Lou Lou, welcome to the board. I have been making Mardi Gras candles w/ purple, green, and yellow layers and scenting w/ cake fo and calling it King Cake. They have sold great! Where in LA are you?
Saturday, I made bunches of Mardi Gras 8oz. jelly jars. I can barely keep up with the orders for these. Sunday, I finally started putting my website together.
I made a candle yesterday w/ JS Vanilla Buttercream Crunch sample w/ J300. I am testing out making layered containers. This scent will knock your socks off! I used 1 oz. pp. Thanks to the peeps who recommended the J300. I really like the looks of this wax. May even change to this for my regular containers. I usually use 4327 but may give this a try.
I am cheering for you! You will do great! I have to get off my butt and do more prospecting. I have 2 accounts now but they both basically just fell in my lap. I think I have the "fear of success" problem. Good Luck! Let us know how it goes.
If you are comfortable with your 8oz. start selling. You have to start somewhere. I started with a 4oz. and 8oz. I am discontinueing the 4 oz. Not enough profit. I am now doing 8 and 16, votives and tarts but will add to my line as I can. I want to do pillars and some b & b. Votives and tarts don't sell well around here.
I usually use 4627 but want to make some layered container candles. I have used J223 in the past and it is pretty good but does anyone use Just Scents 123 wax. Any idea how it would be for layered containers? Or any suggestions on a good wax for this? Thanks!
