  1. I have those plastic bins to transport my tealights, votives and it's one of the best purchases I've ever made!! Like Carlena said, they're really not together long enough for the scents to mingle so you should be fine. They have the bins are Target and you can get them for about $10 or less in different sizes.
  2. My best selling jars were the 8oz Apothecary. Now it's gonna be the 5, 9, 15oz Bulb Jars. I had a few people helping me test these and they all want them now, SEVERAL of them!!!
  3. I found some tealight holders that I want to add to my line that I can get cheap. These aren't the cheap holders, these are the ones heavy enough to hit someone in the head and do a little damage!! The trio holder is about 2.5 lbs and the single ones are about a half pound. I'm trying to figure out what to charge for them. I can get the single holders for less than $1 and the trio for less than $7. Any suggestions!!
  4. Ok, I wasn't going to comment, but I have to say something now...Danielle I believe before you said something publically, you should have gone to BizzyB privately like many others have suggested. Surely, this never happens on CT!! Think about all that will read a thread 100's of times and never comment, but it doesn't mean they didn't see all that was there. Unfortunately, you did "state" a name. You posted the logo w/ BizzyB and you also referred to her as Bizzy in the initial thread. I'm not here to bash you, but just suggesting you watch what you type.
  5. You may also find some listings at www.craigslist.org. HTH
  6. I'm working on ideas for my next show and need your opinions. I wanted to offer some kind of incentive or something to get my 2006 vendors to participate in 2007 (which will be more expensive because of the place). I was thinking of "Raffling" a space for the 2007 show. It would be just like a traditional raffle, you purchase a "chance" for $1 each, etc. So a person might get a space for $2 instead of $100. What do you all think?
  7. Well, the stuff I'll need to "relabel" are all packaged in the clear acetate boxes. I'll try "soaking" the label off of one and see what happens.
  8. I'm going to be changing the name of my company soon and plan to use the new name starting in January. I need ideas on how to handle the stock I'll have left over w/ the 1st company name. I was thinking of doing a sale in December and saying "While Supplies Last". Any other suggestions?
  9. Why don't you try both jars and see which one sells better for you. Sometimes it all depends on your area. I've ordered from the Jar Store. If you order free samples, they may take a little longer than if you place a paid order. They get the paid orders done before they send the free ones out.
  10. I think they're both really nice. I would lean toward the one without the black stripe only if you want your customers to be able to see the scent name in the pic.
  11. I do my shipping based on weight. Some charge a flat fee based on cost. It's whatever is easiest for you.
  12. I believe it's gonna be a go!!! She's just trying to iron out the details before she presents the specifics to everyone.
  13. It's ok, it often seems like I work for them too!! LOL I use them for lots of stuff. I just got some of the postcards from them to send out for my next show!!
  14. I get my cards from them also. BUT, if you can luck up and catch a sale on the upgraded business cards, they don't have the small line at the bottom.
  15. Great idea...I used to sell PL too and know how that can be. I've done MANY Open Houses that were like what you mentioned above. One of them that I did over the holidays had about 10 of us (some upstairs, some downstairs). I only sold $75 worth that day, BUT, they've been repeat customers. Good luck.
  16. I love, love, love 4786. I haven't used 4627, but did use 6006. I haven't had any problems out of the 4786 and plan to continue using it.
  17. Go ahead and do it. Most just say submit a pic of your display. It doesn't say that the display has to be at an actual show.
  18. It still amazes me how people don't read certain things. You would think they'd read a label on something that could burn their homes down and/or kill them, but that doesn't happen. I had a lady I know call me to tell me she'd lit one of my jars before she'd gone to work and had forgotten about it. She didn't get home until about 10 hours later and was "happy" to find the candle still burning and the "house smelling so good". I told her about reading the label, causing a fire, blah, blah, blah. Then a week later she told me she did it again so the house would smell good when she got home. Every time I see something about a house fire on tv I look to see if it was her!!
  19. In some cases if you live in an apartment the city/county will require that you get a letter from your landlord allowing you to "make"/"do" whatever business inside the apartment. This letter has to be on file in addition to them giving you a license. I would call back and ask someone else. Tell them what you want to do and ask them to explain what'll you'll need. You may even want to go to the office and speak to someone face to face.
  20. Very nice!!! I love the font of "Cedar Rain".
  21. Ok...I don't think you should quit the business, think of all the long hours and hard work you've put in. Do as much as you can until the baby comes then cut back for a while. And once the baby gets a little older you can jump back in.
  22. Some FO's are heavier in weight than others, just like with any liquid...So it's better to weigh it than to do it by volume, you'll end up using more FO than you possibly should. HTH a little
