  2. One thing I can think of is while you're setting up see what vendors are downstairs. There may be one or two that may sell some kind of candle holders. Ask if you can leave a few of your candles with them as part of their display. When someone comes to that table and asks about the actual candle, they can refer them to you!! HTH
  3. Unfortunately, you just missed a co-op with votive and tealight boxes. I have some of the ones shown below, PM if you're interested and let me know how many you need.
  4. Candles and Supplies sells them. Here's the link... http://shop.candlesandsupplies.com/candles/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=Candles&product%5Fid=LID%2DFPV HTH
  5. Thanks...the clean up is mostly done, thank goodness. The carpet guys are coming tomorrow to get it squared away and I can move my things back into my living and dining rooms. I'll be catching up on some much needed sleep tonight!!!
  6. Thursday I had the unfortunate luck of the whole first floor of my house flooding. It caused flooding in 2 of my neighbors homes as well. If left my home at around 11am Thursday and didn't return until about 11:30pm. So imagine water all over the place for that long. Nothing in my house is ruined, but I will have to get new padding and get my carpet steamed. So, ANYWHO, while cleaning up water my neighbor sticks his head in my door to say something and says, "It smells really good in here". (This is before the smell starts from the water sitting in the carpet all day) So, I tell him it's candles, and he says, "Oh, Yank*e"?" I tell him no, that they are ones I make. Well he starts to get excited and starts ranting and raving about how he loves candles, blah, blah, blah. Long story short....In the midst of the flood this dude wants to buy candles. I initially thought just to ask him to wait until the water fiasco was over. BUT, I couldn't help myself when he said he wanted to spend $100!!! So, 1 flood and $100 later I have a new customer!!! LOL
  7. Would someone please tell me that isn't real!!! LOL I can't believe that!
  8. It is SO funny that we are so anxious for the free sample, NOT the stuff we actually ordered! LOL
  9. LOL @ Bridezillas..... Michael, I'd love to come and take over your job. You are more than welcome to come crunch numbers and try to collect over $600K that your predecessor was too drunk to do!!!
  10. That's what I'm saying!!! LOL I think he's trying to make us look bad!!!!
  11. I'd like to do a vertical layer in a jar and/or votive (using 2 colors), has anyone tried this? I've done them horizontally, but thought it would look cool if vertical.
  12. Here's a site I came across http://www.birddogsgarage.com/bdg_2/index.php Don't know what kind of budget you're working with, but they seem to have pretty decent prices. HTH
  13. Try the Reddi-Glo Pigment Chips in Peach from Peak. HTH
  14. BAGS!!!! I'm having a party Saturday and doing cash and carry and I don't have any bags that are big enough to hold my jars. I was just going through my checklist and realized I didn't have them. I've tried AC Moore and a few local card/party stores. I'm thinking about getting plastic ones (since they're cheaper). Does anyone know if maybe Michaels or Costco has them?
  15. Congrats, that's great for 5 people!!
  16. I'm having a party this weekend and I'll be serving...Punch and finger foods (deviled eggs, chips/salsa/dip, and little sandwiches from Costco) HTH
