  1. I'll watch for that! what I poured today was some leftover cinnamon/vanilla from a fundraiser!
  2. So far in testing the tins with these wicks the 6 oz with the 51Z is doing beautifully full melt pool and tin is not overly hot to touch. The 8 oz tin with a 60Z is just about at full melt pool and again not overly hot to touch. The 16 oz however is still not to full melt pool with a 62Z so probably going to have to use double 51Z on it.
  3. WOW! How beautiful!!!! Great job! *super banana*
  4. Thanks Mary for your input! I guess when I burn them tonight I'll figure it out! I love to play with new ideas and this is today's new idea! Hope you are feeling better.:smiley2:
  5. I have always used 16 oz jelly jars with normaly 51z wicking.........I bought some tins (16,8 & 6) to play with. How different will the wicking be on these? I just poured all 3 sizes with the 16/62Z, 8/60Z and 6/51Z. I'll burn 'em later tonight but just curious as to what anyone else has found with using these containers. Also, as far as heat..............how much hotter than a glass jar do they get? Much more? As for sales.........which do your customers seem to prefer? Glass or tin?
  6. I mix my own. for 8 oz...........5 eucalyptus and 3 spearmint. Smells GREAT!
  7. I think you would lose the magnificent throw of the 4627 by mixing it with anything. To blend it with anything you would have to use much less of it to get any hardness..........therefore negating the reason for buying it. The wax alone is known for it's hot and cold throw and the amount of fragrance load it can handle. JMHO! It's the only container wax I ever use because of it's performance.
  8. I would start with 2 51Z wicks. That's what I use in a larger apothecary. :smiley2:
  9. Ahhhh.............but, you are missing out on the wonderful hand softening properties of the wax! I rub a little bit on my elbows too!
  10. The IGI wax..........4627, will stay soft and not harden up with anything added to it. Just use it for containers or sell it!
  11. I just peeled the whole block and put it in............used almost all of it today!
  12. So far I use (off the top of my head): Lemon Tart Breeze in the Keys Tropical Fusion Amazingly Graceful Pink Sugar Backwoods Blue Cinnamon Buns Lilac Honey Gingerbread (testing) throwing great! All are wonderful scents that throw extremely well I could not get the White Tea and Willow to throw at all, although it smells wonderful........... Connie you are killing me with this sale!!!!! I need more oils!!!!
  13. The cinnamon bun is YUMMY and the throw is great!
  14. Hi Eve! There are very few fo's that I have tried that don't throw in this wax. I do use zinc wicks though and if I get a scent that does not throw, I don't use it. I use a 12 % load in every candle also. Yesterday I was loading my turkey fryer and it was so hot out in the sunroom....I had the wax all over my hands and arms!!!! Gotta love the 4627 on those warm days!:smiley2:
  15. My little sweetie was named after her great great grandmother Evaline like in line and her nana (me) Victoria. But, we just call her Evie! she's spending the night tonight and all day tomorrow with me! She just fell asleep so nana is surfing!
  16. Thanks Eve! I will let you know how they smell! V *super banana*LOL! My Evie who is 5 is sending you this Super banana!
  17. In the 16 oz I double wick with 62z. Hope that helps! I would guess that the 8 oz might take 1 62Z.
  18. Oh..........could I possibly make it smaller!!! LOL! Anyway i just stamped this crummy test everlasting candle I make the other day. I just heated the rubber stamp with my hair dryer and stamped the candle. As I said before in this thread..........they do make a deep etch rubber stamp which would be nicer.
  19. Any chance you both could send me sniffies.........just a cotton ball with a touch of fo on it?? If so pm me..........PLEASE??????? Just call me desperate!
  20. I just tried twice and got the expired message also. Do they have zinc wicks? Just curious!
  21. Who has the best one with the best throw in your opinion?
  22. I love Backwoods! I have added many of their oils to my line and never have had a problem. My top seller is Breeze in the Keys with Tropical Fusion 2nd. I am still testing Amazing Grace, Pink Sugar and Blue..........but, I love them all so far on the test burns.
