  1. Very pretty! I love that fo! I only do candles but, your soap probably smells just wonderful!
  2. I'm thinking of placing an order for my ever popular Breeze in the Keys and wanted to try out some of the newer, kind of fall scents such as baked apples, Indian Summer, the yummy punkin and the new baby powder. has anyone tested these yet? If so, how's the throw, did you like them?????
  3. Very nice! I use those same jars and I think your label really dresses them up! Guess what! Everyone loves Apple Pie and others without being so fancy! I have very wealthy customers who would rather pay for a great candle, with a super throw, and not care what the candle is in. Great Job!
  4. Ok! Now, somebody make this for me and mail it! I'll make you a pretty candle!!!!
  5. Now, let me just say that I load mine at the full 2 oz per pound. I see that some don't follow this idea and would like input as to what you feel the differences are. My candles are very strong, burn very nicely with no smoking or soot. So, other than to save $ what other reasons are there to cut back on the fragrance load. Just because of some posts that I have read I am doing some testing to reduce the load and see if it makes a significant difference. Has anyone tested thier candles side by side with a full FO load and the lesser amounts and seen differing results?
  6. Oh yes and then, when you can,..........get addicted to the classies here! You can find some really good deals on stuff just to play with until you get more experience!
  7. Wow girl! You've been busy! I wish I had those 2 fo's to try out for you.....Could it possibly be the fo itself? As in maybe try a different supplier? Just thinking...........maybe I should pour some candles today! Nah..........too darn HOT!
  8. Well.........I have to say my turkey fryer and then my 2-burner hotplate!
  9. Thanks! I'm sorry I kept you up Scents! Thank you for your links! I'm off to shop now!
  10. Thank you! She's my only one and I just love seeing her every day! I had not heard of the performa wicks! I'll have to try them before I throw all of my tins away! I usually never have to test if I stay with my regular jars......except with new oils but, generally, I usually get it right. It's when I try to use a different container that it gets time consuming. I can't wait to start pouring the fall and winter scents!!!!
  11. My Backwoods Lilac is the best one I've found.........most realistic I've found!
  12. NG is the best and I saw in thier newsletter that they have all of the other downey's too!
  13. No curing for 4627 at all. It's a great wax for hot and cold throw. I like Eve's name! It's the same as my little avatar grandaughter! Besides, I don't think we live anywhere near each other so why not help, I know it can be frustrating! I've been trying to test tins and the wicking is driving me crazy!
  14. Do you like the Downey type or the more herbal type?
  15. Eve! What are you doing to yourself???? Simplify girl! I use 4627 and reg zinc wicks with NO problems! If I were you I'd be pulling my hair out and selling all the stuff on the classies! Now, take a deep breath..........and PM me!
  16. Ooooooo! Yes the Princess smells soooooooooooo nice! In 4627 wax.......love it beyond all others! Thanks a million Abbie!
  17. I just sniffed my candle and yes, it does smell sweet, cotton candy ish. I use Backwoods fo.

Her b-day is 8/18 and I would like something girly girl for her not, just the same old store bought junk!!!! She is very into purses, jewelry, hair stuff...as I said girly! TIA! Vicki
  19. Does anyone here do mosaics? Or............does anyone need some scrap glass. I do stanined glass and have a ton of colorful scrap that I need to get out of my workshop!!!! PM me PLEASE!!!!!! I don't need another hobby or my DH will leave me for sure!!!!! Help save my marriage!!!!!!! LOL!!!!
  20. BB! I love your poly clay stuff! Do you have a website? If not, I would live to order a couple of things from you for my grandaughter's birthday!!!!! Pm me or email me at vparr367@yahoo.com Thanks, V
  21. If I broke it down to just one pint candle........it is 1.15 oz per candle. It throws very well but, I use 4627 wax. I usually make 6-7 at a time with 8 oz of fo per full pouring pot.
  22. Sometimes I use the warmers but, if I have several to melt down, I use my oven and put the jars on a cookie sheet. I also have a 2 burner hotplate in the sunroom...candle workshop. LOL my son is an electrician and I still have to use an extension cord into the kitchen to keep from tripping breakers! I wish he was more sympathetic to my work!
  23. Really there is no time frame for this. It's just a matter of finding all of the right combinations for each candle. Each component changes the product from the shape of the glass, to the variety of waxes, fo's, wicks and any other additives. IMO you should start with a basic container shape, a good wax that requires no additives, a few good fo's, and a variety in sizes and types of wicks. But, most of all, enjoy it! I find it very calming pouring candles!
  24. I found the best prices for stretchy string on www.beadbuddies.com I got a big roll of it for under $6! Fast mailing too!
  25. All I can say is ahhhhhhhhhh! Backwoods oils are wonderful but, this one says summer in my house!
