  1. The only one I have tried is Summer Vacation (Yank's Sun & Sand) and it's very strong and wonderful!
  2. I just poured a tester of the Violet Lime and WOW I love it! Can't wait to burn it tomorrow! I wish they would have their sample sale sooner! I really need to try alot of the new scents!
  3. Check Royal Aromatics???? I thought I saw it there.
  4. I pour at a highter temp somewhere around 185-190 ish. I have the turkey fryer set at 200 then drop it to 175. Kind of back and forth. I don't worry about the cooling in the summer. They cool just fine in the open in the sunroom. In the colder months they just cool too fast and have adhesion problems, and even if they look nice, the minute you get them cold you'll get the spots. No amount of heating, by hot guns or hair dryers will get rid of them for long once you've got them. Tonight I'm working an fixing some candles that got hit by the sun at a show I did this weekend and faded. I do this by putting the candles in the oven on warm and melting them and letting them set back up. I may give them a bit of a stir just to get the dye evened out a bit.
  5. I had a horrible time with wet spots in the winter but, right now in my oh so hot sunroom............they are doing beautiful! To cut down on the bubbles, let your mixture sit for a minute after stirring to let the bubbles release, same after pouring it into the pouring pot, LET IT SIT! Then pour slowly into the center of your container and I think you will see a reduction in the little bubbles! I don't weigh my wax. I put the whole block in my turkey fryer, melt it, and I have a line on my pouring pot for 1 candle, 3 candles and of course 6 candles is the full pot. much easier that way and definately no need to weigh wax.
  6. Hey Anji! It's in the supplier sale section!!!!
  7. I emailed them about their oils and they did tell me that some of their oils are from Belle-Aire, which is good but, other than that I don't know anything about them. I thought the sale was good but, I don't know what to order!!!
  8. I'm doing one this weekend.......and it's so hot outside!!!! I use an easy up, tables, 3 of each scent but dont' put em all out cause the sun will eventually shine on them and fade them!!!!! QUICKLY!!!! Luckily I can fix them, but when I noticed it happening to the front ones, I pulled all but one of each off of the table and put them in the boxes under the table. Any way I took everything but my house so.......... enjoy!
  9. I'm going to get me some of that! I spent the day in the hot sun and tried to protect the candles under the easy up.........well............Luckily I only had one of each scent out cause I've got some re-melting to do on Mondy to get them UN-faded! It happened very quickly and it's UGLY!!!!!
  10. For your container you're gonna need a 62Z more than likely. I hardly ever use 60's at all.
  11. I use this wax exclusively and use only zincs with it. I only have a sooting problem if I don't trim the wick and set it burn way too long. Also, you have to get the right size for your container and fo. For some reason an open wide container takes a bigger wick than a jelly or mason jar with a smaller opening. A 51Z is pretty much my standard for those with some fo variations causing me to wick up or even double wick with 1 or 2 fo's. In my 3" column container I have to use a 62Z. the wider top doesn't keep as much heat in the container so you have to wick bigger. IMO! Zincs are the preferred wick with 4627.
  12. Hmmmmm! Sound defective to me if you've tried everything else! If you want one with a spout........pm me! I switched to a turkey fryer and only need one now. It does work and it's only a few months old.
  13. Check your connection and change your plug. Those magnetic cords can slip off pretty easily. I have that happen before! Warm should be good, closer to the 200 mark but not on it! Never go over the 200 mark. If that's not it, it could be defective!
  14. They look very nice! I have got to get back into making pillars!
  15. I got some off of the classies to try before I buy a bunch of them and I'm still testing the 6, 8, & 16 oz. I'm having a devil of a time getting them wicked right..........close but, not perfect enough for me!
  16. My favorite! The best I've found (and it is wonderful) is Royal Aromatics! I'm hoping someone does a co-op from them so I can get some more!
  17. I would start with simple melts such as little tart pans, silicone cupcake pans, metal cupcake pans or the clamshells, until you get your wax and fo where you want it. They have to be cooled before you can get them out. Once they are cooled they will usually just pop out of metal tins. Silicone.....sometimes I have to push them out from the bottom. Welcome!
  18. Welcome! Welcome to a wealth of information and help! I don't do soy but, plenty of people here do. Both the board and candlemaking are a fun addiction!
  19. I'd be in for a coop and definately want the princess & Bobbie Brown Beach fo! Who knows what else???
  20. Their Princess by Vera Wang is the most wonderful scent! It throws great also. I'm sitting here sniffing it now..............ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Need more!
  21. If you decide to order there are a couple of things I need in #'s let me know..........please????
  22. Wooo Hoooo! Got mine too! I was beginning to feel a little left out! I'll get right on it Steph! I don't even have website info posted anywhere! So she's getting the email addresses from here I would assume. Date:Mon, 18 Jun 2007 12:29:47 -0700 (PDT)From:"Stephanie Grant" <fragrant_expressions@yahoo.com>Subject:wholesaleTo:vparr367@yahoo.com#message8422744762166520224392001081431971080605675 { overflow:auto; visibility:hidden } Hello my name is Stephanie and I own a specialty retail shop in Arkansas. I am looking for something new to add to my current stock. I am very interested in your candles and would love to see a product sample of your craftsmanship if you offer a chance to sample them as I am very picky about what I put in my shop. I also think it is important to see how well the candles burns and smells. Thank you for your time and I look forward to speaking with you.
  23. Thanks Janis! Keep in touch and we'll just do that! :highfive:
  24. Hey Janis! I was using the 16 oz jellies and last night I just couldn't believe it when I saw the price! I too was doing the order under $25 and could get 72 jars for about $30.........well they went and fixed that so now I can't order the 2 (36 ) for under $25. Well, they could have let me know! I still have 72 jars of theirs that they sent the wrong kind of. They don't want me to call UPS to pick them up and I'm not lugging these 2 big boxes to the UPS Store. So.........I was going to order the glass and then when it comes have UPS take these 2 outta here! Hmmmmm.......now what to do? I found a better deal at Alabaster in Louisville so, if that shipping is too high, I'll just go get it! I know they have been messing around with their prices at WSP and they have ticked alot of people off............I never would by their fo because it's just too darn spendy!
