  1. I would love to have a coop with this company.....but you have to have a fed ex or ups acct. #................HELP!!!!!
  2. I know! I don't know how to do a co-op though and the min is 5 cases of 1000. I wonder if there would be enough people into doing it? I wouldn't think the shipping would be too bad. Hmmmmm.....need more feedback on this! It requires a ups or fed ex acct. # and I don't have one.
  3. How many of you use the 6 cavity clamshells? I found some at a great price but they would have be co-oped. I don't want to do the formal guaging interest......just thinking about it. They are .10 ea plus shipping So.............maybe?? https://www.impact-mfg.com/store/closeup~pid~668.asp Sorry mods if this is in a wrong place, I wasn't sure where to post it!
  4. I do great! $3.50 per clamshell. I sell tart melters also and that helps! It's funny how many people don't know what to do with the tarts!!!!
  5. You can do something with your label to make the clamshells look cute! I just prefer the clean look and nice tarts in a clamshell! I'm done with the individual ones!
  6. Ouch! That's a good question! The difficulty is that you already feel a bit ticked because she took your knowledge and made some $. Not fair but, she is your best friend. She just probably sees it as something you two could do together and have fun making a little money. It would be nice to have someone else split the bills but, you have to have more income to make a profit. Which is a ways down the road, if ever. I don't even make a profit, everything I make goes right back into the candles so right now there is nothing to split with anyone. Would she be satisfied with that? Probably not! The money she just made has to go back into buying supplies or she'll have nothing else to sell. And.....she has to spend alot of money on testing before she sells. Did she even test what she just sold? What if it's not up to your standards and she's your partner...how does that make you look when you are a partner? It's a lot to consider. I prefer to have total control over what I do. Perhaps, instead of her being a partner she could just sell your product (sort of like wholesaling it to her) for you and you could still sell your product to whomever you want and keep your profit. Don't sell your product to her cheap either. You don't want to feel cheated either. I say don't give up control. Your friendship could end with bad feelings..........find a way to use her in a positive way that benefits you both without giving up your product information. Just my thoughts!
  7. They will if it's hot enough and they will look scratched up and messy.
  8. Interesting! As compared to aroma beads how do they work? Last longer? Absorb fo well? What are all of the uses? Just curious cause I just ordered another 10 lbs of aroma beads!
  9. I pour all of my tarts/melts in the clamshell now. I love the way they are protected and stackable! I just keep them all in a box now with no worries. When I did the regular single tarts I put each one in a 4 mil 4x4 zip lock and then stored them in stacks (with paper between them) in a box. The clamshells really take alot of the hassle out of tarts! If you store them together without packaging, they get bumps and bruises and scrapes! not too pretty when you want to sell them! And if you stack them up they leave marks on each other!
  10. Hey Sock...........I did that right after you mentioned it! I just seems that when you say something positive.......there's always someone who acts like you're crazy!
  11. I do a re-pour or top off after my container candles have cooled to touch. Relief holes are not necessary in container candles. As they cool they will contract and a hole will form in the center of the candle around to wick. Sometimes there are holes, sometimes there are just dips, it depends on the weather, temp, etc. Just pull your wicks straight and to center before the top off. The top off will make your candle nice and smooth. For tarts.......they alway dip a bit after cooling, I never top them off.
  12. I use 4627 and yes I know it's messy but, it has excellent throw with just about anything. Wouldn't trade it for the world!
  13. I know....I know.....and I see your points but, I only order glass and lids so still getting a great deal and the service was fast. I order everything else from other suppliers. I guess that when they did the shipping thing and raised prices on other stuff they may have shot themselves in the foot with alot of customers. I noticed that the glass I bought had gone up a couple of cents since the last order. Everything is getting expensive right now, these gas prices are driving up the shipping and product costs terribly. I only have one wholesaler because I can't afford to sell my candles thru someone else. I make alot more profit when I sell them of course. I do make more profit on accessories and aroma beads than I do on candles! When I looked at the real UPS shipping calculator for the glass and lids I just ordered it was $36.38 and I paid 13.90 total. So, I can't complain!
  14. Wow! My wax is only .06 apx per oz! I figure $1.14 per candle fo, .06 wick, .10 labels, my glass is .42 and lid.....about .18 (which I think is too much) those prices include shipping the materials to me except for the wax which I pick up. Worst price for pick up of my wax is .07 per oz. I use a pint jelly jar 16 oz with apx. 14 oz of wax. About $2.74 cost per candle. And that's using fo @ $16 per lb. I use about a 12 % fo load.

    ?'s on wickless

If you melt a wickless candle..........you don't have a wick to worry about. If you melt a wicked candle on a warmer you don't have to worry about the wick.....well I have left mine on for days and days. When I pour a wickless, I pour it at a higher concentration of fo and pour it shorter than my wicked candles so that when it liquifies....it doesn't overflow. I believe that a wickless candle will not last as long as a wicked candle. Once liquified the fo is released at a faster rate, as opposed to burning which only releases the scent in the melt pool. JMO!
  16. For any of you doing mosaics..........I have done stained glass for several years and have a box of scrap glass...lots of colors..........that I can sell! PM me if interested!
  17. That link (the right one) LOL had alot of great info! I bookmarked it for future reference!!! Thanks so MUCH!!!!
  18. Awwww............I just order my glass and lids form them. Split it up into 2 cost effective $6.95 shipping fees! I can't get my glass from anyone else for that price.........and I might add...........intact. NO BROKEN JARS!!!! Everywhere else the shipping is as much as the glass, believe me I shop the internet like crazy for price and shipping costs. I get it in the cart check the shipping and see the total and match it to what I'm getting from WSP, no one has beat it! If I could drive somewhere and pick it up I would, if I could afford a pallet I would. Oh well...........that's all!
  19. Thank you ladysj! I just hate getting old! I'm always looking for my glasses, can't remember what I'm doing half the time, and certainly math skills are slipping! I'm just adding this to my candle and aroma beads line..........then maybe on to lotions & potions! Thanks again for helping!
  20. No...........should I? Just great service was the only statement I wanted to make!
