  1. Ok heres my problem, Ive been using LX wicks and then switched to papercore which left no hang up on my jars at all, but today I was testing a 12 ounce jar that holds 9 ounces of wax and I use 1.5 ounces of FO per pound of wax and I was using C&S 1275 parasoy blend but had some problems with sinkholes and weird tops on the candles when I had no prior problems before and had to switch to a victory blend parasoy. I was burning one of the duds from the old wax but with the new wick and it seems to be smoking alot but no soot is being left on the jars and Ive burned it for 3 hours, could this be because there was a problem with the old wax or maybe that the fo is heavier? I need to test this particular FO in the new wax with the new wick but I was just curious to know if maybe it's the FO or the wick ? Sorry is this is confusing LOL Thanks in advance, Kristy
  2. Thanks, we found a great site that does everything we need and is very easy to use! YAY! lol no more headaches..
  3. HI guys, Im looking into mals ecart and see that its capable of integrating with the USPS and then I looked at USPS and found out you need an API account, my question is for those of you who use it, number one do I need mals premium to do it and how hard is it to integrate with the usps and can I do it myself or do i need to pay someone to integrate it for me? Help! Kristy
  4. Oh..guess that makes sense although Im thinking maybe I can come up with a dfferent type of bag that would hold the salt.. would be interesting to know what other people use to hold the FO that use organza bags?
  5. I guess I will be ordering some dendritic salt, not sure if it's available in a regualr grocery or health food store?
  6. I tried the same mortons solar salt with only 1 gram of FO per pound of solar salt that your recipe had and hubby gave it a test drive in the car, scent only lasted 3 days. So I bought a FO extender at C&S to see if it will help. Not sure why thay arent lasting as long as yours, I used a strong FO that usualy stinks me out of the house. I let them dry on a cookie sheet too.. so Im trying a different tactic, I used some aroma beads as well, put I tablespoon of those along with a pound of solar salt and 2 grams of FO and the FOE. That way the aroma beads absorb the excess FO and it's smells alot stronger. Hubby is ging to test drive the new one and see how long it lasts.
  7. I def. like the third one best! Im anxious to see how long mine lasts for hubby. I put just about 2 ounces in the sachet bag because one didnt seem like alot?I'll have to see if thats over kill LOL Thanks for the pricing info, I'll have to see what works here for my area but at least it's something to start with I was thinking of doing them without the color because the bags themselves are colored, but I do like the look of the colored salt. Hmm to color or not to color that is the question!
  8. For now I just used the solar salt by itself, Im looking for dendritic salt but Im guessing it's something I need to order from online. Although there is a FO enhancer that you use in equal parts to your Fo so I may try that this week. Hubby said he'd let me know how long the one hes using lasts. I used one drop of candle dye to color his but I found that alot of the FO's have some color and look ok by themselves especially if Im using them in royal blue sachet bags. Going to experiment further with colors
  9. Hi guys I was wondering if anyone could give me and idea of what to price the sachets that are made with the solar salt. I tried them over the weekend and really love how they turned out, I just have no clue what to price them at? Hubby has one in his car and loves that hes not stuck with the grocery store trees! TIA Kristy
  10. Thanks! Relief holes it is, I'll try the 2 pour as well, does it leave any lines? I use a parasoy but thought trying something new would be fun.. so far it's giving me a headache LOL
  11. Hi, does anyone else make container candles from palm wax? I bought some container palm to play with and Im pretty sure it didnt cool slow enough,It poured perfectly and looked so pretty, however after it was lit it burned through the top layer to a sink hole underneath. I would love to master this wax but not sure if it's going to be possible? Any tips would be appreciated! Thanks, Kristy
  12. Hi guys, been awhile since Ive posted, been crazy busy lately! I was wondering for those that do dye free, can you use anything to make them whiter? I use a parasoy blend that I love but the oils are always a light yellow to dark yellow in color depending on the scent so eventhough the wax is white they still come out ivory. Thanks for the help, Kristy
  13. I use a 50/50 blend as well and just call it a parasoy blend, for some reason people latch on to the soy immediately, but I make sure they know it's not all soy.
