  1. $350 for one million in coverage, includes product liabililty, general business liability, and equipment and inventory coverage. A higher premium can get you more coverage if you want it.
  2. Thanks so much! I'm going to try again soon with the higher pour temp.
  3. I am using 75% 4794 and 25% J223. I checked with Flicker from BCN earlier today and she said I should be pouring bet. 170 and 180. I know she is very knowledgable but that does seem high to me. Does the 170-180 sound right?
  4. Ahh, thank you, I wasn't sure! Well, I definitely recommend the wick-stickums!
  5. I use glue dots (at least I think that's what they're called. They are double-sided stickers) from BCN and they work really well. In fact, they can be stubborn to pull off when I'm testing. Maybe you need to clean your jars first? Sometimes my glue gun would not work when my jars were not clean. HTH
  6. yeah, I was thinking I may have poured too cool. I will try again tomorrow. Thanks!
  7. I'm a little cynical so I think they definitely lifted your idea. But it doesn't flow nearly as nicely as yours does.
  8. I made some tarts today using 75/25 4794 and J223. I heated to 185, added fo, and poured around 140. When I popped them out of the molds, they were not shiny, but looked like a powdery film had settled on them. They just didn't look attractive. Does anyone know how I can avoid this? Thank you very much!
  9. Can you tell us more about your mom? That might help get the creative juices flowing...I think it's really nice that you are incorporating your mom into the name of your company.
  10. Thanks Coconut and Mexitan for helping me out here. Larry was very helpful and it looks like I will be getting my insurance through them. Thanks again!
  11. The possiblities are endless with an irish theme. Shamrock Candles; Clover Candles; also google Irish blessings and something there may inspire you.
  12. Sounds like fun! I won't be able to play, but I can't wait to see the results!
  13. Does anyone else think that this fo is too strong at 6%? I'm thinking of lowering the % but was hoping for feedback first. Thanks.
  14. The contact info I have is Michael George. I don't know who Larry is. I called yesterday and left a message, hoping to have more info today.
  15. Does anyone have anything to share on them regarding their insurance coverages? Thanks...
  16. I will be trying this technique tomorrow night. I've been having issues with stubborn fo not always mixing fully in the wax
  17. Another idea is to incorporate chick in your name instead of egg. I can't think of anything good right now, but Shabby Chick, or Not-So-Shabby Chick or Rock Chick are examples.
  18. All Things Kathy Passion Crafts Something Special from Kathy If you don't use Something Special in your title you could use it as a category (in a marketing sense) in which the product you highlight changes every month, since you mentioned that you always try new things.
  19. I like #1 or #2, but probably #1 wins out b/c of the strong colors.
  20. Thanks for the feedback! Yes, isn't Old Dominion Candles a great name! It reminds me of a southern verison of Yankee Candle. I like Goose Creek Candles too, it is a semi-well known creek in these parts.
  21. This is very interesting! Thanks for sharing!
  22. http://www.thenaturalartisan.com/customer/home.php Here is the link to Natural Artisan
  23. Are you using a self-trimming wick? I"m surprised that after a 6 hour burn it did not need to be trimmed. The jumping flame is characteristic of a wick that is too long.
  24. I would not try to cram candles, jewelry making and soaps into the title of your business, how about "A Little Something Special" or "Unique and Chic Creations"
