  1. Can anyone recommend a good Spiced Wassail fragrance oil? I used to use CS but they no longer carry. Thanks.
  2. www.morexcorp.com www.ribbons-unlimited.com
  3. Hi Sabrina, When I think of a soapy smell, I think immediately of Lavender. As for disinfectant, the only think that comes to mind is lemon or pine, like lemon pledge dust spray or pine-sol. I"m stumped on the closed room smell, sorry!!
  4. Sounds good, Abbie. Thanks for all your hard work. I will see you there! :smiley2:
  5. Will do. We have some catching up to do! P.S. Sorry to hear about your cell phone. I hate when that happens!!
  6. Hi Abbie ~ I would love to be there! It sounds like a lot of fun and I could use the inspiration of all you experienced chandlers, too, lol! I have to iron out the schedule with DH, but I hope to be there. Thanks for working so hard on this, Abbie!
  7. My favorite by far is Strudel and Spice. It is a sweeter version of Peaks Amish Harvest.
  8. Have you tried soaking it in mineral oil? Just a thought.
  9. Thanks for the idea. I can't believe how hard it is to find what I am looking for. I don't know that I'll have the time to make them myself, but perhaps looking at a local print shop may be the way to go, or fork over the $5 for the ones in the store, which were so nice. Thanks again!
  10. I was out shopping and saw some really nice match boxes with vintage Christmas scenes on them. They were about the size and shape of a deck of cards, (rather large) for $5. I tried to find some on-line wholesale, but could not. All I found were custom matchboxes, which I don't want. Does anyone know where I could find these? They were really pretty, and I thought they would make a nice addition to the candles for teacher gifts. Thanks!
  11. Thanks KandleKrazy. That Hansel and Gretel whupped my butt! Using the heat gun on the glass didn't work, it came right back. Since these were for a friend I had to make them over, and that fo did not want to mix in. I had to raise the temp, mix, raise the temp, mix, until it all worked in. I may be searching for a new gingerbread scent soon.................
  12. Thanks, Carole! That's definitely a possibility, I just started using a Presto Pot and well, I'm working out the kinks with my temps.
  13. Thanks for the feedback, and the tip about Vybar. I'll have to look into that. I really appreciate it. In any case, do I have to toss these candles then? Or can I still burn them in spite of the oil bits? I did heat gun the sides and it went away, I'll know tomorrow if the oil comes back.
  14. No, it's not wet spots, I have those too, lol. This is oil bleeding out of the candle and stuck bet. the candle and glass. It's not necessarily pooling, it's just in little bits. This typically happens when you use a high fo load, but I'm only using 6% in J223 so that's why I'm puzzled.
  15. Hi, I'm sure this topic is out there, but I couldn't find it. Some candles I made two days ago are developing oil spots. I have been using this fo/wax/jar combo for a while now, this is the first time it has happened. I also made some Pear scented candles which came out fine, it was just the Hansel and Gretel that are bleeding a bit. Does anyone know what could be causing this? I use 6% fo pp. Do I need to ditch the candles and re-make them? I am wondering if this is cosmetic or a serious flaw. They are small oil spots, but are on all four sides. I wonder if I heat gun the sides if that will make a difference. My house is cold, I also wonder if I move them to a warmer spot if that will help. Thanks for any help on this!
  16. Mistletoe, for sure. And then how about some white poinsetta's to go with the black and white theme? And if you want to have it fancy, I hate to say it, but ditch the paper products like paper plate and cups and go for the real thing.
  17. Beautiful! I'm sure they will sell well!
  18. Ooh, I'm very jealous! I wipe with paper towels, then turn upside down in a low oven, then wipe again.
  19. These suggestions are great! This is going to be fun to work on. Thanks a bunch!
  20. I am giving my Jewish friend who is a "hippy chick" a candle for the holidays called "Hippy Hannakuh". She will get a big kick out of it. I was thinking of mixing patchtouli with something holiday-ish. Does anyone have any suggestions for what might work well as "Hippy Hannakuh"? Thanks!
  21. Just out of curiousity does the "gifter" not have a photo of the couple to give you or is she saying she prefers not to use a photo at all?
  22. Thanks for your reply, Sally. I hadn't thought about the wax spoilling the instructions on the inside cover. I was planning on putting the warning label there too. I thought there would be more responses to this question about directions.:undecided Anyone else care to add their thoughts, pretty please?
