  1. Those are all beautiful. I want to do soaps so bad, but can't until next year when I get some more work space. So in the meantime all I can do is admire all of everyone elses beautiful work.
  2. Very pretty, I like the blue.
  3. Very pretty, love the color of blue you used.
  4. I agree with everyone else. I add 4% to mine and it helps smooth out the tops after each burn, helps with the throw and a little with the frosting problems. Everyone is different so you just need to play around with it. I wouldn't add more than 5%, then it starts causing cracking in your wax.
  5. Soy is a very unpredictable wax. Because shipping costs are so high, I would try what you can get closest to you and try to make it work for you. I buy mine from KY and pay the shipping, just because I tested several and that is what worked the best for me. Everyone has a wax that works the best for them. If you try the C3 and don't like it, there are many others out there to try.
  6. Lonestar carries them, and I think BCS also carries them, if you live in Texas.
  7. I think she is talking about container candles.
  8. I say forget about the flicker and go with the wick that gives you the best burn. A lot of things can cause flickering in a candle. Personally I don't worry about how much my candle flickers as long as wicks are getting the job done in the proper amount of time.
  9. Very pretty, love the pastel colors. Nice job!
  10. Very nice, like those, bet they smell wonderful.
  11. Sherie, that candle basket is beautiful! I know it is for a good cause. I am sure it is going to go quickly. Your mom did a great job on the basket as well. I think they said something about only being able to post one picture per post, but don't remember.
  12. It looks very nice. I bet it smells good too!
  13. Not sure what you were going for either, but it looks good!
  14. Alight Soy (one of the users) uses or used ADM soy. Maybe you could do a search for posts with her user name.
  15. I agree with the curing time as well. Like Mystical, when I was making palm candles, I never got them to throw well right off. They always took several days/weeks to throw well. My soy also does the same with lighter scents. I have a hard time getting light scents to throw in my soy, but a longer cure time seems to help them. The heavier ones seem to throw well right away. Just my 2 cents worth.
  16. Those look good enough to eat, delish!
  17. Very nice, like the fancy curly wicks on the top. They are very creamy looking.
  18. I think this was discussed on the other board a few times. If I remember, they don't do as well in soy as the FO's. I think if Vicky or Robin pops in, or someone else that has actually tried them, maybe they could give a little more insite.
  19. Myself, I always thought lavender was darker than lilac. I personally don't think it would matter much, I don't think the shades are that far off to make a difference.
