  1. Thanks for the info. Yeah, I wanted to use a neroli hydrosol. I can't afford the EO either. But the hydrosol was comparable to other hydrosols, like lavender. So it's pretty worthwhile. Even still, for a facewash, to use it as the water portion, it'd be pretty pricey. Maybe I'll still give it a try and see if people like. Anyway, thanx.
  2. Well, I didn't really word that right. What I meant is, because one would have to use so much more of a hydrosol, they seem to work out to cost more than if I just used the straight EO and distilled water instead. KWIM? I wanted to use the hydrosol in my lotions and in a face wash in place of distilled water. But for how much I'd want to use it seems like I'd be better off just mixing the EO with the product and then adding water. So I guess I don't see the point of a hydrosol.
  3. The flat rate of $6.95 only applies if your order is less than $25. So it's only good if you're purchasing samples. But that is when I use it. Usually I can get 4 - 5 2oz samples for under $25. If you're buying a pound or more, it's best to get it from the sister site (mentioned above). That way you don't pay any shipping (if over $50).
  4. Start with no more than 1TBSP per pound and go from there. Every base is a bit different, so you might need less, might need more. Someone gave the tip of using Olive Oil at 1TBSP pp. I tried it and it did help. I liked it better than using beeswax or stearic. If you don't want to go with OO, then I'd say beeswax is the next best alternative. Stearic is third.
  5. What they ^ said...plus apricot, meadowfoam, fco and borage. Olive Squalane is phenomenal, but expensive.
  6. It only seemed to change from mousse to lotion consistency after getting a bit warmer from being in my purse. The ones I had in storage in my cool basement are still whippy. I'd say if you use a bit less water and a Kitchenade stick blender on the highest setting (9), which is what I did, it would stay that whipped consistency. My testers loved it, they just complained that it ran out too fast. I suppose that's because the whipped up, moussey version has a lot of air. Takes up more space in containers, but really it's less product.
  7. I used NG's pink sugar with FBB. It did turn slightly, but not so much to be problematic.
  8. I noticed when I mix my lotion up, if i blend it on too high a setting with my stick blender, it gets airy, like a mousse. However, over time it mellows out again.
  9. I feel like I must be missing something here. I wanted to use a hydrosol in a face wash, but it is so much more expensive than if I just used the straight EO, which would be much more potent. Does anyone know why hydrosols cost so much?
  10. I use some of their scents, but none of the ones you have listed. The higher priced ones that I have are really good. But when I find a WSP scent that I like, I usually try to find the same scent at another supplier's because WSP is just so expensive. I find Peak's to be very comparable in quality, at half the price.
  11. I have to say, I've been wondering how people can charge "so little" for their sprays, cuz I sure couldn't figure out how to! Now I understand why. I'm gonna do a spray with the 1:6 ratio and see how it goes.
  12. I think I've been using way too much FO. :embarasse
  13. BCS has cyclo. They are probably way closer to you and would cost less in shipping.
  14. Thanx for the replies. Anyone using this in B&B?
  15. Does anyone know of a great smelling pomegranate FO for B&B and candles? Please give FO name, supplier and application. Thanx.
  16. I've tried the GM, shea and silk & shea...in both cream and lotion (total of 6 samples). They were all fabulous!
  17. Well it sounds fantastic! Have you ever had a problem with bugs getting into it? Sounds so sticky icky!
  18. I haven't tried the LS clear or the crystal clear, but I can say that the regular clear is not what I'd expect "clear" to be. It's transluscent, but not clear. For starters, it's yellow in color. Although you can change that with dye easily. It works for my applications but I don't find it to be what I'd consider clear. Not compared to other brands I've seen.
  19. Where can I find decently priced bendable ballerina dolls? Oh, and glitter! TIA!
  20. Wow! Beautiful! You are my M&P Swirl Hero! :highfive:
  21. Might be the water. Just guessing, but water does soften M&P. I've never seen water in an M&P soap recipe.
  22. Thanx for the reply. I've been debating whether or not to buy the Liquid Glycerin or the Luxurious Bath & Shower Gel. Have you tried that one? If so, how do they compare? I've tried a sample of the luxurious and it was very nice. I'm just wondering if the bases are very different or not?
