  1. Thanks, Stella! I learn something new every day. So are you thinking she is using a soy wax?
  2. I noticed that too. Also some of the ones burning are leaving an outside shell. I like for my pillar candles to consume completely. I guess different strokes for different folks.
  3. No, it is not mine. I saw these candles at a store in south Mississippi. The candles looked very nice and most had a good cold throw. Wish I knew the wax. She had one called Tropical Grove. Clean and fruity. Can't put my finger on which fo it could be.
  4. Has anyone seen this website? www.ccbymm.com
  5. Thanks, Candlebuddy! I use paraffin. I have ordered from Candle Science before and will do again! They are great. I appreciate your help~
  6. Can someone tell me what type of wax was used to make the light green pillar candle that is at the top of the Suppliers by State page? Thanks~
  7. Which Christmas scent fo throws great? I need a no brainer. One more thing who makes a great cinnaberry fo? Thanks in advance~
  8. Swamp, I bought the same kit several months ago. It was my first attempt at container candles. I had the same issues that you are having. I finally got a great hot and cold throw by doing the following: increased the fo from 1 oz per pound to 1.5 oz per pound, started using LX wicks, and let candles cure for at least 5 days. Other than that I followed the company's directions. These changes helped tremendously!
  9. Thanks! Do you use two wicks because it is a square container?
  10. Yes, the glass is real heavy. Is it hard to wick? I use paraffin (4627) wax.
  11. Hi Everyone! I haven't posted in months, but I read daily. You guys are very helpful. I've just ventured into trying to make container candles. I usually make pillars. Anyway, I found a 3 inch square thick glass Libby container at Wal-mart and was wondering if anyone has every used it. Also, is it harder to properly wick a square container than it is a round container? Thanks in advance~
  12. Is there any thing that you can add to a paraffin pillar wax to make it a container wax? I'm dying to try to make a container candle but all I have is pillar wax. TIA
  13. What type of chemical is used in air fresheners? They claim to eat odors in the air too. They come in all types of scents. Why don't they eliminate their own scent? How would a spray know which are the good air molecules and which ones are evil? Don't know. Never been one to use spray air fresheners much. Seems to me that it is fragrance to cover up the odor.
