  1. I ordered from them a few years ago, didnt have any problem.
  2. Most customers have no idea how a candle is suppose to burn, so they dont know its wrong. I used to be one who thought it was normal for a tunnel and didnt know I needed to let it burn for 3 plus hours.
  3. If the wax they use can hold that much than it would burn fine. May need a bigger wick. If they are using to much FO it will just seep out.
  4. Maybe shop around and see if you can find lower prices or lower shipping. I wouldnt switch wax, you will have to retest every scent you sell which would be very costly. If you have good quality candles, people wont mind paying a dollar or two more:)
  5. For a full melt pool, it should take around 3 hours. You want the depth of the melt pool to be around a half inche. Generally 1 hour for every 1 inche.
  6. I use the 6028 for my tarts, and love it. Tarts come out of the mold very easy, and great throw.
  7. I use their FOs and they are great. I pick up my orders as I live 5 minutes away. I think there wick guide is pretty close, sometimes I have to go up one wick from theirs.
  8. I would just suggest that you get it only if you can then get it somewhat locally. You dont want to have to switch wax and retest all again if shipping is to much. I have never used that wax, so just get ya some sample packs of wicks.
  9. Check with State Farm, I know some people have insurance with them. Some states are different so see what they offer.
  10. Its a really hard wax to wick, I gave up. I am using my leftover wax to make wickless candles. I switched to the 6006 and I really like it. I havent had alot of time to make candles lately, very busy 14 month old plus I am trying to get caught up on my scrapbooking.
  11. I use wooden spoons and the paint stirrers.
  12. General rule of thumb is it should burn about an inche a hour. So a 3" candle should take 2 to 3 hours to get a complete melt pool. You also dont want the depth of the melt pool to be greater than 1/2". Good luck. UK has different wicking I believe Sands.
  13. I dont sell, but I prefer the 8 oz tins. If I was a customer I would buy the 8 oz, maybe a 4 oz too.
  14. Wooden spoon here. I dont think an electric mixer would be good with hot wax.
  15. What temp do you add your FO at? And how long did you stir? Those to things are usually the problem for no hot throw. I add my FO at 180, and stir for a good 3 minutes. Hopefully you just have candlenose. Another thing could be that the FO you bought is to old and has lost some of its strength. You could also try a different kind of wick, I am not familiar with that wax so maybe someone can make a suggestion.
  16. The 6006 will be alot softer. I use both those wax's. The 6006 you can cut with a knife, the other I have to drop on my garage floor.
  17. Its your wax that determins the max load, not the FO. Most waxs will hold 6%, so I would stick with that if you are unsure.
  18. Only 1% FO? Thats not very much, how much wax are you using? You may want to try going up a wick size instead of putting so many wicks in it? Or try another series of wicks. Some wicks work better with different kinds of waxs. Good luck!
  19. You can buy tart molds if you ever wanted to sell them. As for cooling, the slower they cool generally the less they shrink. So you can cover them with a box:)
  20. I dont usually bother doing repours on tarts. I think they are fine with a little dimple, mine are for personal use also. I give some to my best friend when I make a batch, she doesnt seem to care either:) As for containers, it will depend on your wax if you need a repour.
  21. I threw out so many baby food jars lol. Altho Gerber doesnt make all theirs in jars now, they use the little plastic containers alot now. Natalia doesnt really eat baby food anymore, she wants our food now.
  22. I use IGI's 6006 para/soy blend. Its a nice creamy wax. You might want to give it a try. As for straight paraffin, its made more for pillars. You would be better off buying a already blended wax for containers IMO. Good luck. You can get the 6006 at Candlescience.
  23. Sounds like a goof, they are great and will fix it for you. I secound the sample pack, their recommendations are just a starting point.
