  1. Thank you, I'll watch for your reply. I asked someone else what she uses, as hers are always very clear, and she uses crystal clear from WSP. But I will wait to hear about your comparison.
  2. Ok, who is C&S???? I am really needing some clear m&p and I'm glad to hear someone has some.
  3. Is there normally a shelf life for m&p??? Just curious.
  4. I like the 2 or 3 oz oval containers with lids because you can use some embeds and make really nice looking soaps, plus they are already packaged once you put the lid on them. There was a co-op on these not too long ago.
  5. I'm going to be out of town for while helping with elderly parents so I'm trying to get things ordered an organized to take with me so I'll have something to do in my spare time. The m&p will be more portable than trying to do candle stufff I think. I may also work on some eo roll ons. I wish I could order 20# white and 20# clear for the 40# price but I'm sure they won't let you mix them. If you check out the co-op thing, I will definately be interested. Have you tried their shower gel or lotion bases?
  6. PA had you already seen the special? I know I am going to go ahead and order the white but am trying to decide if I can get the natural now or if I'll have to wait. I'm really trying to get away from the fo's and into the eo's and I think the natural would be the best for that. Also, my granddaughter has eczema and I'm thinking I could use it for her. Have you ever seen a co-op for EBC? I really think it would go over great...especially since your great reviews. Know anyone that might offer to host one (hint hint)
  7. Has anyone seen the special on EBC??? If you buy 2 of the 20# blocks, you save $30. With the white, it makes it $1.75 per pound. I think the $1.24 difference in price (from SS) should offset the shipping shouldn't it????? The other m&p's are also on special but they are different prices. PA I'm also very interested in the natural but of course it isn't on special. It sounds yummy for use with eo's.
  8. Thank you....I guess that one is out. So is my best bet to order the white and just add goodies to it right????? Does anyone have any experience with Go Planet Earth? For those that make the fish in a bag soaps and similar items, where do you get your clear soap from??????
  9. Has anyone checked into maybe doing a co-op with EBC? I don't know if we could get a better rate or not....or if it would save us anything. At least we wouldn't have to order in 20# increments. Also, I've read several references to the clear SFIC being cloudy and I agree...I had the same thing with some I've had for awhile but not sure where it came from....but, have any of you used the crystal clear from SFIC? That is what I was considering ordering. Like the rest of you, I want to do the kiddy soaps with embeds but I want to be able to see them. That's what the problem was with my swap soaps....just not clear enough so I had to improvise and do something different. Let me know about the crystal clear from SFIC if you've used it please.
  10. It all looks great and it sounds wonderful. I've got a new grandbaby coming the first of July and would love to make products for him/her (we'll find out Feb.9). Any tips you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Please feel free to e-mail me. Love your packaging. NancyT
  11. Very nice coloring but I can't tell if your candles are textured or if it's the coloring that makes them look that way. I really like the combined colors. Please don't hesitate to ask questions as that is how we all learn. Good luck with your future candle making. NancyT
  12. Very impressive Cathy!!!! I'm glad to read about the modge podge because I wouldn't even have thought about putting that on them and then I'm sure they would have peeled off. My granddaughter and I put decals on a candle one night just to see how it worked and it's still fine but I'm sure if it were handled much at all, the decal would come off. Thanks for the tips.
  13. Now those are super adorable. Are you selling them? I know my granddaughter would love them. Let me know.
  14. Here's another idea....... Is anyone interested in splitting an order if we don't get a co-op going for these? I'm like the rest of you, would love to have some but don't need 1000. Feel free to send me an e-mail or a pm. Thanks
  15. Thanks for the directions......I'm definately going to try them today. I'm hoping mine turn out just a fraction of how great yours look!!!! They are beautiful. Did you do two different scents or just two different colors???? Great job!!!
  16. I love the look of your candles and your presentation is so professional looking. Did anyone ever do a co-op on the sleeves? If they did, I guess I missed it. I may have seen the heading and didn't even know what "pillar sleeves" were. LOL If not, I'm thinking about starting one if anyone is still interested. NancyT
  17. I'm still bummed out that I'm not going to get to go.....even after making my reservations......but I'm glad that my replacement is really pumped and ready for the big event!!!! I know it's going to be a great day for everyone lucky enough to attend and I'm anxious to hear how everything turns out. Best wishes for a great and successful meeting. Nancy
  18. These are so nice, and what a terrific personal gift they make. Is there a tutorial on CT for making these? I'm definately going to have to check into them. Just what I need....another project!!! LOL You did a great job.
  19. They are without additives, no color, and 1 oz pp of f.o. I would love to find something that would clean the top of the container but so far that hasn't happened. I too thought the 18 was very large but it's still not doing the trick. I have tried the LX, CD, STABILO, and Zinc series. Actually the top of the container is quite a bit larger than my standard votive.
  20. Without additives, no color and 1 oz pp of f.o. I did my first burn for 4 1/2 hours, and at 2 hour intervals for the remaining burns. I would love to find something that would leave the top of the container clean but nothing seems to be working. Actually the top is quite a bit larger than the regular votive.
  21. Thanks for the replies everyone. I am trying to wick the flower pot votive container and so far the LX-18 seems to be doing the best, but not great. I still have a thin hang up on top where the container is the widest but the bottom is great. The LX-18 has less hang up than anything else I've tried so I may just have to stick with it. Aaron, let me know how your LX-14 works for you.....I haven't tried it yet. I tried a STABILO-14 and it wasn't too bad but not as good as the LX-18. Linda, I think I will test the LX-20 tomorrow and see how that works. Thanks everyone.
  22. I am testing wicks for the flower pot containers and it's looking like the LX-18 is about the best so far but I'm still not totally satisfied with it. Does anyone else use this container with IGI 1343 wax? Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. TIA Nancy
  23. That is a great price! If anyone is considering doing a co-op on these, I definately am interested!!!!! Does anyone know any more information about the pink bottles? I never saw a price on them. NancyT
  24. Hey Sue Ann, I'm keeping my fingers crossed you'll be able to make it. It would be great to see you again!!!!:highfive: Nancy
