  1. Thanks Sharon. I will have him try this. I've got a good sugar scrub that he might use to exfoliate with. I appreciate your help.
  2. My husband's 23 year old grandson has severely dry hands that are actually cracking, and I'd love to be able to make something to help them. Does anyone have a recipe that might be good for this? I'm not even sure which oils and butters might work best. I would appreciate any and all advise anyone can give. Thanks Nancy
  3. Here's an idea!!!!!!!!!!! Tell her you'll do Colts blue instead of the black GO COLTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (sorry, I just had to throw that in for our boys):yay::yay::yay::yay:
  4. I'm impressed!!!! Great job on the molds..........are you going to start manufacturing and selling them????? Your soaps look great as well!
  5. I have made a ton of them using IGI 1343 and they smell for a long very long time. My mother is using one she's had for over a year and she is still getting scent from it. The light heats the wax and helps to release the fragrance. HTH
  6. Very classy, they are wonderful. May I ask if you leave the top open or do you have some kind of cover for them? They really are beautiful. Nancy
  7. What a cute angel. Thank you beadangel for sharing the tutorial with us. I'm gonna have to give her a try. I love the heart shaped beads for the wings. How cleaver is that!!!!!!! Thanks again. Nancy
  8. Sorry Carol, the wickless haven't been much of a seller for me either. I poured them in 6 oz tureens to place on the flat warmers but they haven't moved for me at all. Good luck. Nancy
  9. Is that the silver metalic pigment ? The candle is beautiful. I also have the Candlefun system and I love it. I'm finishing up inventory for a 10 day festival that starts this Friday so keep your fingers crossed for me that they sell well. How long have you been carving? You do a vey nice job. Nancy
  10. I'll tell you.....some people just have all the luck!!!!! First you get the gift certificate at the gathering and now you've won the drawing from MW. SYR, now you can avoid the auto bill pay for a month or two. LOL Congratulations!!!!
  11. Now I know I'll have to place an order just to get a soap sample Rhonda I sure wish I had known you were interested in going to the PA gathering because I would have loved to have had you ride over with me. I'm going next year so if you need a ride, you're more than welcome.
  12. I did sign up for the newsletter last night and I see that Rhonda is offering significant savings for members. I will definately have to get hold of some of these oils soon. The problem with my carving is I just bought another warmer, to the tune of $800, which gives me 6 more colors to work with. YEA!!!!! I pick it up this week. Needless to say, that is the reason I can't order from MW right now. I am looking forward to showing you guys just how easy it is to carve and hopefully some of the group will want to look into it further. Ok Abbie, refresh my memory on the Red Tea. You may be serious about it but for the life of me I don't remember what you said. Sorry.....it's a "senior moment" LOL
  13. You girls have no idea how much you are tempting me to order and I keep telling myself I can't!!!!!!!! Rhonda is only about 70 miles from me and I really want to get into her stuff but haven't even played with the samples we got at the gathering yet. The only things I've worked on since then is 1 batch of soap (Red Tea) and I've been carving like crazy. I haven't been on the board much but it is good to be able to read the posts and be able to know who all of you are now. I'm already looking forward to next year's gathering. Nancy
  14. Carol I do a 4 lb batch for my 16 bar so I guess you could double that. Happy soaping!!!!
  15. Kelly, I just went into the link you have posted, and got a page saying the survey had been cancelled. What's up with that?????
  16. Carol, I just line mine with the freezer paper and it's not hard at all to do but Birdie showed us at the TN Social to just cut the foam the size you need them, glue 2 pieces of the craft foam together, and line your mold with it. I hope you enjoy your mold....I have the 16 bar one and I love it because I can actually cut even sized bars, and I can't do that with my log molds. I need to get "the tank" soap cutter if I want to make the soap logs. Hope you're feeling better. Nancy
  17. Thanks for the ideas....I especially like the one about dipping in purple wax to look like a grape cluster. I'm sure I'll try that one first. I thought about the firestarters too but wasn't sure if I wanted to waste my big pinecones on them. Thanks again Nancy
  18. Does anyone have any good ideas on what to do with large pinecones? A friend just gave me 3 garbage bags full and they are huge. Some are even as large as a football. I know the typical christmas tree stuff but I'm looking for something different. Any and all ideas will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Nancy
  19. I love them!!!!!!!!!!!! You did a great job!!!!!!!
  20. I am so jealous!!!! I've been doing this for a couple years now and I can't get a swirl like that for nothin!!!!!!! Your soap looks great and I think you must be a natural. Great work. Nancy
  21. Has anyone got the Advanced Quick Cutter? I have been looking at it and Cumberland Acoustic's Multi-Cutter http://www.cumberlandacoustic.com/_wsn/page9.html I'm trying to save a buck but I don't want something that is going to fall apart either. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Nancy
  22. Jennifer, why don't you just ask everyone to send you a pm.....I sent you one earlier today with my information. Nancy
  23. How in the world could I have forgotten the GOODIE BAGS?????? That's like birthday and Christmas all rolled into one!!!!!!!!! We got some awesome stuff in there including product, discount coupons, snacks, and I'm drawing a blank right now on the rest of the stuff. But take our word for it.......you'll really like it!!!! Nancy
