  1. Very pretty...which wicks did you use? NancyT
  2. I have to admit that I don't think I have seen a bad palm pillar yet. They each have their own uniqueness and that is what I like about them. These look great to me. NancyT
  3. I absolutely love these candles. Are you aware that each color signifys a specific cancer? Pink - Breast cancer Orange - Luekemia Yellow - Bone Cancer Lime Green - Lymphoma Blue - Prostate Cancer Lavender - General Cancer Awareness There are alot of others too but these were the colors in your candles. I am a huge supporter of Relay For Life after losing my best friend, companion, lover, father of my children, and husband, to stomach cancer in 1999. Thank you for your efforts that will hopefully someday help find a cure for this most dreaded disease. NancyT
  4. I'm drooling over those colors. You did a terrific job. If by chance your mom doesn't like them, you can just send the my way. Great job!!! NancyT
  5. Look at item G730.....is that the same???? HTH http://www.containerandpackaging.com/itemlist.asp?itemtype=Candle_Glass NancyT
  6. Ginger I know the kind of candles you are talking about but the name is different. There is a company that does alot of fund raisers called "Our Own Candle Company" and they are in the jar with the handle and also have the black plastic wick holder. The difference is, they have some awesome smelling candles and I have never seen one that looked the way you described it. I wonder if someone did a take off on that company and made their own copy cat. My grandson was selling the others last year for his youth group and they sold like hotcakes. The scent throw is wonderful and they burn nice and even. The only thing I didn't like is they did leave alot of soot in the jar. BTW....I'm in Indiana and you should have dropped in and said "hi". NancyT
  7. Please excuse my ignorance but are you actually pouring wax into a dixie cup or is there a mold that is dixie cup size? I just started reading about dixie cup votives a couple of days ago but I'm confused as to how they are made. TIA NancyT
  8. Have you tried BCS? They are in Houston I believe and I have no idea what the shipping would be. Just an idea. Nancy
  9. I agree with the eye appeal of the ribbon and I also know if I'm looking at candles, I want to be able to smell them. Therefore my vote is for the sleeve and ribbon. I'm with you with the cigar band as well. I don't want them getting chipped or scratched if they are sitting out....also want to retain the fresh scent as long as possible and I definately don't want them collecting dust if they don't sell right away. Beautiful candles by the way!!! NancyT Oh yeah, where do you get your sleeves?
  10. Very nicely done. I really like the pumps on your bottles too. Would you mind sharing where you get them? Thanks NancyT
  11. I'm thinking like Robin. I've finally got everything I need to make lip balm and haven't tried it yet so I think that's what I am going to work on either today or tomorrow. wish me luck. I am going to use a recipe I got from a good friend and I love her lip balm. NancyT
  12. Really cute Texas Brat. I'm loving the bags you are making. So far my favorites are they style that you made for Christina. You do great work. NancyT
  13. What don't you like about them? They're beautiful and the color is so right for the fragrance. You did a great job. Nancy
  14. I have been at hobby lobby twice now and can't find them. How much are theirs? Nancy
  15. Go to Discountmugs.com it looks like they may be in Canada or else they ship there. Nancy
  16. Does anyone know of a supplier that carries the clip in lights that are used in the electric grubby's? I was buying them at the dollar tree but they say they were a seasonal item for Christmas and they can't get them for me, and the only other place I can find them is charging $5. That's a bit much if I want to still make a profit without having to raise my price. Thanks, NancyT
  17. Hi Robin, Glad to hear the weather is better for you out there. We have beautiful sunny skies here today but it is very windy and muddy. Hopefully the winds will help dry out the ground for us. I haven't got anything in my pot right now but I do have to get busy this week end and get started on 3 swaps that I need to get ready for. Plus my daughter called and wants me to make up a basket of my products for her to take to work with her and sell. Yeah!!!! I like those kind of calls. I like the sound of all your rose products as that is what I am trying to concentrate on. My company name is Rose Garden Creations so I am continually looking for different kinds of rose molds and containers and things. I really am not crazy about rose fragrance but I do like Victorian Rose by BC. Well good luck with all your projects this week end. Nice chatting with you. Nancy
  18. The pics look great and I'd love to see the store. Where is it located? Are you in Michigan? I am from there and get back up that way from time to time and I'll definately put you on my list of things to do my next trip up there....it that is where you are. Best of luck to you. Nancy
  19. Very cute. My 4 year old granddaughter is here and saw the pic and now wants grandma to make one for her. Now look what you've started!!!! LOL NancyT
  20. Being a breast cancer survivor I thank you for your efforts to further the research of this worthy cause. Your bracelet is beautiful and I'm sure you will sell alot of them. NancyT
  21. Ok here's my question. I have not got a lye calculator yet and the recipes I have used for soaps so far have just given me the amounts in ounces as opposed to percentage. Can you please convert this for me? I have got the calculator on my list of things to purch really soon and I'm hoping when I get it it won't be too difficult to use. Anyone have a recommendation for a good one? Thanks Nancy
  22. Very very nice and that is one of my favorite scents. Beautiful work and your colors look great together. Nancy
  23. It looks to me like I am going to have to try my hand at "jacking up" and swirling my candles. Those are beautiful. I've not ventured in to the swirling yet and wondering how difficult it is to do. I certainly don't expect to get the same effect you have but maybe one day with enough practice they might be half way presentable. Thanks for sharing with us. Nancy
  24. I knew there was a reason I joined this swap.LOL I'll be so anxious to get mine especially now that I've seen them. They are beautiful. You do very nice work. Just a little request....if there are any that are longer than the rest I would love to have it. If they are all the same size that will be fine too. Hope to have my stuff off to you later this week. Nancy
  25. Thanks Steph....that is the list I was looking for. I don't know why I couldn't find it tonight. Nancy
