I had something happen today that I want to ask about. When I added lye to my goats milk, it turned orange!!!!!!! I thought about trying to use it, but it smelled more like perm solution than the way lye usually smells, so I finally decided to just pitch it. Have you ever had that happen and would it have been alright to use it? I certainly would not have needed to use dye!!!!! LOL

Friday I made a batch of cp using AppleTini f.o., cut it yesterday and it's smelling and looking very nice. Also made earthen oak, and patcholi raspberry (Moonwooks) incense sticks, as well as lemon butter (OBN) lotion and lime body butter (OBN). Gonna make more soap tomorrow, just not sure what it's going to be. Probably goats milk. Have fun everyone. Bohemian, glad you're home safe. Was great to see you again.

I'm home too. Made the trip in record time but I only stopped once the whole way. Had terrible rain in Indy but aside from that, it was a good trip. Now I have to unload all my goodies!!! Once again Abbie you really outdid yourself!!!! The gathering was so informative, and we all learned so much. Of course the networking with each other was great fun as well. Scented, I loved my swap box from you, and I must brag that I am the lucky recipiant of your lovely beeswax painting!!!! Of course, you know how much I LOVE your soaps and I am glad to get them as well as the other goodies in the box. Thank you so very much for everything. It's hard to believe that after waiting a full year for our gathering to get here, it's finally almost here. It makes me sad to think that just one week from today, the gathering will have been here and gone, and we'll all be packed up and on our way home. I've still got a lot to do to get ready to leave on Friday, but the busyness will make the time go by much faster.

Tabatha I'm so glad the surgery went well, but sorry it means more surgery for you later. I'm keeping my fingers crossed you'll get the ok to travel. As far as the pick ups go.......I don't think there is anyone who doesn't understand why you had to back out. It's really not a big deal to have to pay the shipping, if that's the only way we can get it. You just worry about you and take care of yourself. That's the most important. I recently did a demo using these and they're really easy. The 2 most important things to do is #1 - use a wick with the larger tab base....I use the Z51 (of course it will depend on your fragrance & wax) #2 - do not pour hotter that 175-180 degrees. HTP

Thanks for all the reviews. I am going to at least try to sell them and if they don't............oh well, I'll use it myself. I'm not going to invest a lot of money in it until I find out what happens.

Hey!!!! Where is everyone????? It's been a few days with no posts so I'm just curious. Just 2 weeks from today and we'll all be on our way home, pumped with so much information and knowledge that we just have to try when we get back to work!!!! Here's a question for those of you using soy wax. I have a freind that uses soy tarts and she says when they melt, the wax evaporates and she doesn't have the liquid wax to get rid of. Do any of you know what wax this would be? Just curious because I know the tarts I make always still have wax left even when the scent is gone.

I'm debating about adding incense to my line but I'm just not sure what kind of a demand there is for it. For those of you that do make & sell it, would you please give me some feedback? I would certainly appreciate it.

Tabatha I am so sorry to hear about your upcoming surgery. I will pray that you'll heal quickly so you'll be able to join us in PA. If I lived closer, I'd offer to come pick you up so you wouldn't have to make the long drive if you're feeling better by then. I had placed an order with NG but I will just contact them and have them ship it to me. It's not a big deal. You're first priority is you...................you've got to take care of yourself. Hey Wayne, just wanted to thank you for the tutorial. It was a great idea and I will definately be in the hardward store later today. I just have a question about drying on the paper towels. Doesn't it absorb your fragrance? I guess as long as it doesn't absorb all the scent it would be ok but I wonder if it weakens the incense stick? Just a thought. I am just starting to make incense so I really appreciated your video. I was wonder what I was going to soak them in that would be small enough. BTW, have you made the cones? Have you seen the pre-buy for Moonworks? It is for Dark Knight and Sun & Earth. She offering free shipping but she has assured me that it will be in before I do the pick up for the gathering so if you'd rather I pick up for you, I can do that. I was disappointed that she was sold out on several of the fragrances I wanted to try, but I guess that's due to the sale she has going on and I procrastinated and waited til the last day to order. That'll teach me not to wait so long the next time.
