  1. Yes, What is up with them? (RANT!) I was going to post a new thread but came across this one. I do not know how supplier's can stay in business when they have such terrible Customer Service. I ordered some oil 3 weeks ago, was told it would be shipped out the next day. (My CC was never charged though) Well, 3 weeks later, still no oil - I see that it is out of stock. OK I understand that, but how about returning one of my 5 or so messages that I left to find out the stauts? Or maybe respond to my emails that I also sent? This is not the 1st time this has happened to me. Had the same problem with jars that I was waiting and waiting for last winter. I keep going to them because the price is better, but I am beginning to think that saving on the price isn't worth the headache & bad customer service. I just don't get it, I have been in Customer Service for years, and could not imagine treating customers this way and still expecting to stay in business. Anyone else have any recent dealings with them?
  2. Just wondering if you complained to them at all? Like I said, they said they were really surpised because they never had any complaints. "maybe it was my wax or something I did" I find that really hard to believe because I tried like 3 different bottles of it throughout the year thinking it was a bad batch. I was desperate because it was a good seller for me and my wholesale acct. none of them worked. I think I remember another post on here where someone had bad results with it also.
  3. Yes, I pretty much gave up trying to wick WSP's. This used to be a top seller for one of my wholesale accounts. Then something changed. I am sure it was when the reformulation happened with it going phalate free. I never had to wick up much in the past, and got great HT from less than 1 oz pp. Then all of a sudden, no one could smell it at all! the wick wouldn't stay lit or if it started out oK it would slowy drown down to almost nothing. I wicked up over 4 sizes which is crazy to me, and it still doesn't produce very good results. The throw is nothing like it was before. Funny though, when I complained to them a few times - nothing at all has changed and they have never received any other complaints besides mine  I finally ended up having to stop selling it. So good luck, and if you find a good alternative, I would be interested.
  4. Yes, actually this just happend to me on a new batch of 1000. Of course I didn't catch it until I had already poured a whole batch of candles. Then when I was trying to wick some more jars, I had about 10 out of 15 pulled loose as I was wicking them. I was going to call the supplier to let them know. This is very frustrating! Like others mentioned, you pay extra to have this done so you don't have to tab your own. I ordered mine from CS. Never had that problem before outside of a rare few here and there which I can deal with. My daughter makes jewelry, so I will have to check out the crimper tool. Thanks!
  5. I can also vouch for WSP being a good dupe, however I would love to find an alternative due to the price. I could be mistaken, but I thought someone said that NG's Beach Daisy was similiar. I poured a sample, but haven't tested it yet. So far, I would say it is somewhat similiar but not a dupe to my nose. I will have to check out Element's version.
  6. I've been wrapping mine in colored tissue paper, and that seems to work fine.
  7. I am just nearing the end of my trial period with Constant Contact which I loved for creating newsletters etc, and tracking, but wasn't looking forward to having to pay $15 a month for it. This looks like they offer everything that Constant Contant does and then some - for FREE! I will definately check this out. Thanks for the Info!
  8. Your Candles look Great! Very professional, and your pics turned out wonderful.-wish I could get mine to turn out as nice. Great Job!
  9. I used to use a toaster oven in my work shop which works great, but a hassle to always rotate jars in and out. Recently, I found the Oster Stainless Steel warming plate which is completely flat, very light weight and made to hold to 13x9 pans, so I can hold 24 jars at one time on it. THe only downfall is it doesn't have a temp control just one temp which is a little warmer than I would like, but I am moving them on and off fairly quickly, so doesn't seem to be a problem so far. I think it is a big time saver for me not having to squeeze them in and out of the oven. Even though it doesn't heat the jars all over, like the oven, the heat does disperse through the glass, and it has not been an issue at all. So far I have been thrilled with my new find!
  10. I have tried a few, those that I have tried were good, but to me they are quite pricey compared to other places and they don't have scent descriptions which makes it alot harder to choose.
  11. I ordered my imprinter and plate from them. No problems. Good price, very fast shipping. I put my Company Name , City State, phone number, and website address. (which is still in progress) I use Propay currently. Have been using them for about 1 yr. A little higher than some Merchant accts, but unless you have a ton of credit sales, it still comes out as a better deal for me than paying a monthly fee plus transaction fees etc that I was paying previously. So far it has worked great for me Hope that helps.
  12. I've done some, by using a drill to make a small hole on the top to put the string through. I just used the elastic thread so that it has some give.
  13. I recently ran into the same problem after printing the clear labels just fine on my laser for the last few years using the "label" setting. I of course needed the labels right away and they kept jamming and getting stuck. I was ready to cry/scream as I was getting ready for a show the next day. I tried it again the next day using the Plain "thick" option, and it has been working just fine ever since.
  14. Uh oh! Maybe I shouldn't have asked. Those sound really tempting and the prices are definately right. Looks like I have some more to check out now. Thanks for the help!
  15. That is GREAT News! I also want to try their Pine and see how close it is to HF Rocky MT Pine, I heard several people say it was close or the same. I sure hope so, I need to do more consolidating and the Pine is the only one I really order from HF now. Anything else that is a Must Have from Bert's? Thanks for the help!
  16. Does anyone know if their Dark Choc Mint is the same as the Ande's one that there was so many good reviews for? I need a good Chocolate Mint FO and was ready to order this one, but then couldn't find it out on the site. TIA!
  17. I am looking for some recommendations for someone who makes awesome bathbombs & CP soap that wholesales. Looking to add a few more products to my store and have no time or interest at this point in trying to perfect the bath bombs, and am looking for some unique looking, quality CP soap. Might be interested also if anyone has a really good body butter that they make from scratch and sell in bulk. Feel free to PM me if interested. If anyone can give me any leads based on products that they have tried, from others on the board it would be greatly appreciated. TIA!
  18. Ok, So I am a little slow (very slow) on reporting back on these. I just realized that this thread is almost a year old, and here I am again trying more pumpkin scents! First I figured I better give the final update on these from last year first. Pumpkin & Cranberry Marmalade- Ok, but wasn't special Pumpkin & Hot Fudge Brownie - Very Good the choc made it really rich & creamy smelling Pumpkin & Coffee Bean - good & strong, just needs something else maybe a touch of vanilla or carmel. Pumpkin & Carmelized Pralines-Very Good Pumpkin & Snickerdoodle - Burning now - smells Great! Pumpkin & Gingerbread-Ok, but didn't personally care for it Pumpkin & Lavender (got that one from here somewhere) smells really good - clean and different. I didn't try any new mixes yet, but did try some of my samples from AH: Pumpkin Creme Brulee - Wonderful! very strong and yummy! Curious to see how mixing one of my many differnt pumpkins & creme brulee would compare. Pumpkin Apple Strudel - Very good & strong, nice apple pumpkin mix, can smell both. Sweet Pumpkin - Ok, I think I am getting pumpkin nose. This is the 2nd Sweet Pumpkin that I tried and although it smells great when I am right next to it, neither of them are very strong, but I really want to make this work. I love the combo when I am mixing it up it smells wonderful. I guess I will have to experiment with this a little more, could probably be wicked up. I am going to see what other combos I can come up with for fall this weekend. Hopefully, I can report back before next Fall -
  19. Very Nice!! I love the colors and the graphics. Nice Job!
  20. I really loved this one also! I know it smells like carmel apple to me but yet different. I have a small bottle, and am now having to savor this one. I don't know what else might be comparable.
  21. I have some 12 oz cascade jars that might work? The inside rim measures 2.5 in, it is very thin at the neck, so even going from the outside edge, it is just slightly over 2.5 inch. I could send you one if you'd like. If it works, I have plenty to spare. Just let me know if you're interested.
  22. I just got my sample today, will post after I try it. OOB it smells real good, I detect some spice to it. I just recently tested some sweet pumpkin from Flickers and that smells wonderful. It doesn't smell real strong burning but I think I just have candle nose right now. I am going to burn it again and see what happens.
  23. I was wondering the exact same thing when I seen that there were several new scents that were listed that were the same or almost the same as FOH. I also got mine in the mail today. I don't know why I keep doing this to myself! Don't know when I am going to find the time to test these all, but couldn't pass up a good sale. Some of these I have been meaning to try, and the new Pumpkin ones sounded Great. This is what I got: Holly & Ivy Alaskan Wilderness Banana Walnut Cake Raspberry Lilac Victorian Rose Tangerine Lavender Chestnuts & Brown Sugar Patchouli Raspberry French Vanilla & Oak Cranberry Yuzu Apple Butter & Carmel ROcky Mt Memories Sweet Pumpkin Southern Pecan Pie Japanese Pear & Ginseng Bayberry Pumpkin Creme Brulee North Country Blueberry Spiced Cranapple Ginger Apple & Pumpkin Strudel Autumn Spice (trying to decide how close this is to the BCN closeout) Mabel's Mint Sugar Cookie Christmas Fantasy Avalanche Wine by Candlelight Just by the 1st sniff, most smell really good. Once I get to testing these some day, I will post again. I will be moving the Pumpkin & fall types to the top of my testing order.
  24. I haven't smelled that one, but I thought I read that someone said it was a dupe of Pier One's Jade? Unless I just dreamed that up somewhere.
  25. I can't speak for the HP, but I have a Dell 3110CN that I have had for about 3 yrs now. I love it, have had no problems, and I have yet to have to replace the toners. I think I paid about $340 at Sam's Club (The same one was actually higher directly through Dell - Go figure!) So it really is a cost savings over having to always replace the ink cartridges. Also prints much nicer and faster. I print round, but they are very challenging! I really struggle with getting them lined up right throughout the whole sheet. No problems with squares and rectangles. What I have been doing lately is do print on paper, or full sheet label and then just Punch them out with a Fiskars 2" round circle punch. It works great, however is a little more work. I did a lot of reading and research prior to buying mine, and for the price that was rated as one of the top buys overall at the time. Haven't checked out the market recently though. Just shop around and do a little research, I think you will be very happy with the laser.
