  1. Here are a couple tin sites for you: http://www.containerandpackaging.com/itemlist.asp?itemtype=Metal_Tins http://www.specialtybottle.com/index.asp?PageAction=Custom&ID=33 I get my jars from Marck & Associates, Anchor Hocking, and Libbey. Hope this helps!
  2. Been using Filtec wicks for some time. They have different types, one being zinc. So, if you saw a "metal" core you were probably using their zinc core wick. Their other wicks are not zinc cored; cotton, ultra and X-trim are different types Filtec carries without a zinc core. HTH
  3. We start all our fires with the firestarters I make. The coals get so hot there is NO wax, or anything else left of the firestarters. Never ever had to scrap up wax...POOF! all gone. Definitely SAFE!
  4. I am almost certain Levine Gifts requires a tax ID. It is stated on their site in the upper righthand corner. Correct me, if I am mistaken. http://www.levinegifts.com/
  5. Here you go! Conversion sites! Takes the guess work out of math, and you can use whatever measurement you like (ounces, grams, etc.) http://www.onlineconversion.com/cooking_butter.htm Home page! http://www.onlineconversion.com/
  6. Justcountry! That is exactly where we went Cades Cove. It is amazingly beautiful. Will definitely return there! Have a safe trip!
  7. Coffee mugs are safe! I have tested them and sold them.
  8. Absolutely go to Aztec! I use some of their fragrances, and like anywhere else, some aren't so great, but on an overall, they have some GREAT throwing fragrances. Once you get there, you will want to shop, shop, shop! I just returned from a trip to Tennessee visiting a friend and went to the Smokey's for the first time. Just loved it! Stopped at Aztec too! Suggestions: Birthday Cake Oak Moss Lemon Eucalyptus Cucumber Melon Sandalwood Kumquat Oatmeal & Honey Moonlight Path Pina Colada Pink Starbuck's Coffee Hope this helps some!
  9. You can try Cracker Barrel too. I have seen them there. I carry the Jackel warmers, and if you have an outlet for them, even friends and family, they WILL SELL! You could see if Jackel will let you place a "sample" order before commiting to their initial "minimum" order. Good luck!
  10. For those of you who sell wickless candles, are you finding a lucrative market for them? Any comments, or help will be appreciated! TIA
  11. Found another site: http://www.yessupplyco.com/products/jars7.htm Scroll down to "Trend" jars. You will find the small bulb jar (case of 48). They are located in Lancaster, OH.
  12. You could check with Libbey. I know The Jar Store designs some of their glassware after the "Libbey" styles. You will need a tax ID to purchase directly from Libbey. Libbey has a location in Toledo, OH, and another state that I cannot remember off hand. Here is the Libbey link: In the 3rd photo to your right, one of the jars pictured there might just be what you are looking for. If not, do not hesitate to contact them. They also have a retail outlet store! http://www.libbey.com/content/view/40/65/ Hope this helps!
  13. Border definitely! Can I make a suggestion too? Now everyone, this is a personal opinion! I think the company name would be more readable, and attractive, if it were not so spread out...centered more in the middle, and the letters closer together. Just my humble opinion! :tiptoe: :tiptoe: :tiptoe: BORDER!
  14. In Kysoy 125, I use Southern Scentsations Strawberry & Champagne. Great throw! Great seller!
  15. No pics? What's going on here! We want to see! I am pretty sure I know what ice cube trays you are speaking of. They make them in a bunch of different designs: stars, hearts, etc. I cannot remember where I have seen them though...there goes that ole' age again! :rolleyes2
  16. I do not use those waxes, but I do use a soy wax. For a 2.5" diameter jar, I would suggest a CD14 depending on fragrance and color usage. For your harder to burn fragrances, you could try a CD16. You could also do a search on this board. There has been alot of discussions on the C3 wax, and the 444. Just put in C3, or 444, and a ton of information will appear. HTH
  17. Hello Cherish: Even though I no longer make double wicked apothecary jars, I use to. I also use the Kysoy125. I agree with Stella, if the fragrance and color you are trying to burn are not hard to burn ones, the 2 - 60 cottons are too hot of a wick. Personally, I do not apply the inch diameter per hour theory to testing my candles. What I have found, especially with sox wax is, as long as your flame height is good; you have a great scent throw; there is not anymore than around 1/8" - 1/4" of hangup on the jar, and the consecutive burns are pulling the hangup down, do not worry about it. Once the wicks start to burn down into the jar; about 1/3 - 1/2 way, the jar is going to warm up enough to eventually pull all the hang up down, and will continue to do so the further down the wicks burn. Test burning the double wicked candles in this fashion, even with power burns, you will still burn all the wax (have a clean jar), and you won't have those huge meltpools, or the chance of the jar shattering with such hot wicks. Hope this helps some!
  18. I received my CSN wicks today, and had to try them right away. Overall, for the frist burn, they did very well. I wicked as follows for 5 hours: Cleopatra: CSN12. The flame height was a bit large and the tumbler hot. I am going to wick down to a CSN11 tomorrow. The flame did a bit of moving around, but it did not do the "Twist"! Vanilla Sandalwood: CSN12. This wick did very well! I will continue to test with the CSN12. Eucalyptus Mint: CSN14: This wick did very very well! I will continue to test with the CSN14. Balsam Fir: CSN14: The flame height was LARGE. I am wicking down to a CSN12. So far, I like these wicks for the palm container waxes. From what I understand from CS, these wicks were manufactured specifically with the palm waxes in mind...just a bit of trivia here! I did ask CS about a test starting wick for the soy waxes using the CSN wicks, and they are still in the process of completing their soy wax tests with the CSN wicks. Stay tuned!
  19. Mostly CDs in my soy containers; some of the hotter HTPs (1212 & 1312) for hard to burn fragrances. In my natural wax votives though, I like the HTPs. Now ask me about my pillar wicks and we will be here all night!
  20. This is me sneaking away with that pillar! :tiptoe: Great job!
  21. FINALLY! Someone else who pours Patchouli! I have a wholesale account that cannot do without it! I feel your pain! Beautiful pillars!
  22. I'm with Henry! I am soooo jealous! Fantastic job~as always!
  23. Very nice! Hope my first rustic looks that good!
  24. Thanks Henry, Stella, and Becky! I will see what I can dig up in the maze of wicks I have. Still waiting on the CSN wicks to arrive!
  25. You can try the following company, but you will need a Sales Tax ID # to order from them. www.marckassoc.com Their site is something to be desired, and it is not an ordering site. You will have to call, and request a catalog, which is online. Once you give them all the information they need, they will email you a User Name, and Password, for the products they carry and the pricing. HTH
