  1. They are heat sealable tea bags I get from a company in Florida - if you want the info PM me and when I get home I'll look up the information. I fill them w/2 oz of product and use the iron to seal the one open edge.
  2. I sell my bath salts and fizzies a little different then most ... I think!! I use tea bags. The fizzies are in powder form and I'm using the finest salts I can find for the bath salt bags. My customers love them because they don't sit in salt - the bags steep in the warm water and they get the same effect of just pouring or dropping the salt/bombs in the tub. Squeeze the tea bag and toss. Easy cleanup. I actually sold 4-2oz tea bags for double what I sold an 8 oz loose bag last year! The 4 tea bags were bagged in a clear bag w/a bow and label!! I was a little surprised they sold so well! I agree that most customers don't like sitting in the 'rocky salt' ... I know I don't!!
  3. WOW - impressive ... liking all of them
  4. Julia, I LOVE THAT!!!! I'm stopping at the Post Office this week!!! We've got paint!! Free stuff is GREAT stuff!!
  5. I appreciate this post so much right now as we are getting ready for what I think will be a very claustraphobic setting - 10x10 booths set up right next to each other. We've done this before on a much smaller scale vendor wise and we loved our neighbors and were able to spread out a little. We also had to set up the booth 3 different ways during the 2-1/2 days to get people to come in. This was our first show - had too much product out and just couldn't get the setup right. Problem is now we have a lot of different items for people to look at and setting up w/them just looking at the table in the front of the tent is not going to allow them to see everything. I'm afraid they also won't come in. I'm thinking now we should have rented two spaces!! The one thing we've done before when having a 'front end' setup is 2 small tables at the front, one tall 5 shelf setup on the end for bath stuff and hung 3-tier wire vegetable baskets (which we've spray painted our colors) on the tent rails for our votives. We kept 1 of each scent available on the table with samples of each container and had a spreadsheet of the stock in the boxes behind us with the boxes numbered. When someone wanted a particular scent in a particular container we looked at the spreadsheet and went to the corresponding numbered box and pulled out the candle. It actually worked great. Boxes had to sit up on back table which I wasn't crazy about - but the system worked. More people stopped and bought because we were set up in the front and didn't have a massive amount of candles for them to look at. I'm stressing about this very thing for this next show in October. Sorry so winded!
  6. instead of plop-plop ... how about: Flop-Flop, Fizz-Fizz Bath Powder I just call mine Bath Fizzies ... so not too original here ... sorry. I do love Butt-Tickler!!
  7. I agree with solid colors - at least for the table top. We've used solid white and solid green table cloths for the different tabletops and a little of the hang over and then used a print around the side to cover the stuff underneath. We use our carrying crates to make 'risers' and cover those with solid covers also. What's great about the sides are you can just measure the total length of your table around and buy that many yards of material. Tape it to the top (under your solid tablecloth) and drop down the sides and go all around - no hemming needed at all since the sides of material on bolts are 'finished' already. Is that a little confusing? :undecided
  8. Just my opinion but I prefer a heat gun - mine recently broke and I had to use my hair dryer to finish the job and it did work but not a smooth as the heat gun. Bought another heat gun the next day at Wally-World for less than $25.00.
  9. Michaels' once again ... they have great shapes! We've bought the flower one, the round cup one (like at Target) and recently the pumpkin one for Halloween!! Each are $10 for six cavities each. We've also bought the rose one at Wally-World - can't remember the price - makes beautiful rose soaps. LOVE them all - work so much better than the plastic ones that won't release! Now I've got to stop at the Dollar Tree! Thanks for that!! lol
  10. I had posted about these somewhere - but without a pic. Bought 18 - filled with spiced pumpkin & spiced orange. Use 2 zinc wicks - spread out a little further than picture posted and it burned fine. They also had Halloween ones at the Micheal's I went to. Also had these and the ones from Walgreens last year - bought for $1.00 and sold for $7.00 and they flew out the door! Hoping for the same thing this year! We'll see Saturday! Good luck to everyone selling them!
  11. Bed Bath & Beyond ... $10.00 - sometimes they have the $5.00 off coupon - so you could get 2 sets for $15.00. I can vouch these are really strong - have had a set under my bed for a few years. Decided to get another for under my working table and they work great!
  12. BNB close-up missing ... not that we can't see how great that looks!! Are you sure you didn't take a picture of REAL bread. They all look wonderful!!!
  13. I LOVE this stuff!! So does everyone else. What I wanted to add is how I've been pouring ... after everything is mixed I put it into a plastic baggie (fits into sandwich ziplock), snip the end and use like an icing bag. It makes it much easier to pipe into the cups and doesn't create such a mess like the spooning was doing for me. I just use my finger as a 'stopper' from cup to cup. Also - anyone that has used shea butter - do the melts harden up the same as the cocoa butter? I'm finding shea M&P soap not hardening the same as others so was wondering what the butter would be like since I've just ordered 5 lbs!! Thanks for the info.
  14. Impressive ... Impressive ... what a beautiful job...you need to get a hold of wedding planners ... I'm sure there's plenty right around in your area. Are you sure you're new at doing carving...
  15. Thanks everyone! Keeping the fingers crossed that the weather holds up next weekend for the party. Unfortunately went to Michael's this morning and they've got Fall rectangle crocks for $1.00/each ... more to pour!!! I went for ribbon! We all know how that goes!
  16. Great looking candles - sorry about Ernesto - although was glad he didn't come our way - couldn't handle another one! Best of luck to you.
  17. I got our shirts and aprons at Sam's Club. Log onto their website and there's a section for shirts, logos, etc. It's easy - I thought their prices were fair - and I will say they did a great job. There's a $35 one-time set up fee. They have many items to choose from. They got our logo perfectly set up. They work with you and didn't seem to mind my changes.
  18. This is what I've been up to the last few weekends - have made about a dozen of each plus filled so many containers for the house party on the 9th. Can't believe my house smells like the holidays already!! Thanks for looking! scent names left to right ... Apple Spice Holley, Holiday Wassail, Pumpkin Pie Spice
