  1. This seems like it will be a lot of fun. I think I may actually give it a try
  2. I never thought of the small hex jars. I love how they look!
  3. Thanks I could not do baby jars since I do not have a source for them, but I was thinking that size, something I can get at a craft store. I almost wished I made jar candles so people could just smell from there
  4. Maybe I should rephrase... I am having samples of all my scents. My product line doesn't allow for people to remove tops like a jar candle. My question is about the best way to display my samples. So, should I go with the small jars, or is there a better idea? Thanks again!
  5. OK, here is my dilemma. I am doing my first craft fair a month from now, and am having trouble deciding how to get people to sniff what I have. I only make melts, ornies and sachets, and those are all packaged to not let the smell come out unless opened. I was thinking I could pour wax in a small jar (baby food sized), label them, and leave them out for people to smell. Does this sound like a good idea, or can you think of something better? Thanks!!!
  6. I love Grandma's Kitchen and Spiced Sugar Plums from The Candle Source. I get rave reviews on them both.
  7. That's really cool. I always have tons of boxes, so this is a good way to reuse them!
  8. Well, I had planned to start pouring fall scents for a couple shows coming up. But, now I have to recover from a big ole cortisone shot in my shoulder. Hopefully by Sunday I can get to pouring!!
  9. I find that warming the votive molds during first and 2nd pour works for me so I don't have to do relief holes.
  10. I use the pillow case. I lay it on my desk chair at an angle, and whack it with a rubber mallet. Breaks into manageable pieces, and it is quick.
  11. I love the labels too. The site looks very nice
  12. Same here for melts and votives. I use the container wax from The Candle Source when making wickless.
  13. Finishing the votives for my sister's wedding. After that, no more candles!!
  14. I only touch my molds if there are tiny bubbles on the top of what I just poured. Then I just tap lightly until the bubble is gone. Recently, I had a hard time with votives. I started warming the molds in my oven on the lowest setting. I take them out just before I pour. I then put them back in for the second pour for a few minutes to rewarm them, and then take them out just before I do the second pour. I have been making some beautiful votives this way.
  15. Probably because a lot of people don't know you aren't supposed to do it. If a complaint is filed with MC/VISA they can stop their ability from taking credit cards.
  16. Those are gorgeous soaps. I want to eat the first one

  18. I have tried almost all of those on your list. I use 4794, and have not had a bad one yet. They smell good, cold and hot throw is good.
  19. I use wick pins. The only breaking I have ever had is the tiny lip that forms on the bottom if the pins are not the flat ones. I just even that up, and they look fine. I have never had them break anywhere else.
  20. I use 4794, and I put a slab in a pillowcase, lean it on an angle on the wall or my desk chair and, I whack it with a hammer. I get some big pieces, and I do the same with those . I actually like breaking it up. I had heard the 4641, that the color of the pellets can be different, so that may be what waxdragon means.
