  1. I never think to look on the old board. I will check there. I did make a few bars a year or 2 ago, and it was really fun because it was ready quickly and was easy. I see all these pictures of soap other people make it it looks so cool! So, I am off to read some more!!
  2. Hi everyone I have read through all the M&P threads here, and googled until my eyes crossed. There is so much info. Does anyone have any good beginner sites, like ones with recipes and techniques that I can look over? TIA :smiley2:
  3. I use the one from The Candle Source. I use the aluminum bottles instead of clear ones because of the possibility of clouding. I have some I made well over a year ago, and they still smell wonderful.
  4. I use the aluminum bottles, so I never worry about mixing, and put on the label to shake before use. So, I can't attest to the blending problems.
  5. I use the base from http://www.thecandlesource.com and found it to be good. I market it as room and car spray. I have some sprays that are over a year old, and still smell awesome when used.
  6. I bought some of the kits, and really did not like the plastic plugs in the bottles. I can imagine someone trying to get it out and splashing diffuser oil all over the place. So, I want to buy my own bottles. I was thinking just the clear 4 ounce boston bottles just like these: http://www.specialtybottle.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=52 Or maybe the 2 ounce: http://www.specialtybottle.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=48 Are the necks wide enough on both sizes to stick 8 or 10 reeds in them? I am going to decorate the bottles, and package them in organza bags, so I do not want a fancy or expensive bottle. Any thoughts on those bottles, or a better one you can think of? And, do you think 2 or 4 ounce would be better? Thanks!!
  7. I price mine 75 cents each or 3 for $2. I sell quite a few at this price, and it is still in the price range where I am making a profit and covering my materials.
  8. I don't make any of the products that this is in reference to, but I filled it out from my perspective as a buyer.
  9. I use Firefox and I installed this addon called Foxmarks. It will back them up and you can import them and export them from computer to computer. If I lost my bookmarks, I would just die!
  10. I don't do soy, but have heard that the rating system they use for soy is pretty accurate. Their Fos are some of my faves.
  11. I tried to get into HCM a few months ago, and I paid, and follow up was horrible. I changed my nameservers as instructed, and my site was down for a week and nothing. So, I changed them back to my old host, and then he emails me that I did not change my servers, so there was going to be another delay. At that point, I let him keep the month I paid, and I cancelled and stayed with my current host. Guess it was a smart move on my part. Good luck everyone, this really sucks!
  12. If I am not mistaken, I think you can downgrade, but you can only do it once. I had an upgraded paypal account (not sure if it was premier or not), and was able to change it. Check the help section for paypal, and it should tell you how to do it if it is possible.
  13. I ordered a case from the last co-op. They are really cute in person, and they sell really well. Can't wait for the next co-op to get more.
  14. Are the charges just holding or pending, or did they actually take out money? Sometimes amounts will authorize multiple times, but when they actually submit the charge, only one will go through. It takes a few days for that to clear itself up. And, technically you can't say they are unauthorized. Unauthorized means you never did business with the merchant...ever. If they do go through multiple times, you can dispute the fact that they charged you multiple times. Now, these are credit card guidelines. Debit card may be different. I worked for a CC company for years working on fraud and disputes. Good luck and I hope you get in touch with them.
  15. I am getting ready to purchase an imprinter from http://www.mrimprinter.com. I have no clue which one to choose. Does anyone have a recommendation for any of the models he carries? I am specifically looking at the all in one kits to get the slips and the plate. TIA :highfive:
  16. I use the aluminum bottles and get the from Elements. Really fast shipping, and I don't have to worry about cloudiness.
  17. I have been thinking about shriking my melts for a while now. Will the 3" tube also work for standard size votives? I would love to have 1 size for both if possible.
  18. Black raspberry is a big seller for me. I like the sun riped raspberry too. Haven't tried the other ones yet.
  19. I bought mine with the spigot, and it is so much cleaner than the ladle. I used a ladle once when I was getting all the wax out of the pot to clean it, and I ended up making a mess.
  20. I get my base the The Candle Source. It's the only base I have ever tried for room spray and it works for me. HTH
  21. I am actually going to be a shopper at the Daffodil fest, so I will be there and I'll come by and see you
  22. I guess word of mouth DOES work. My sis told one of her friends about my site, and I got an order out of it. I woke up this morning and almost could not believe my eyes. It was SO cool. And, I am also switching my site to HCM, so this weekend will be busy!!
  23. Those look awesome. And the name is so fitting!
