  1. The hard blocks are much more fun because you can take out aggressions??? Well, that's my reason for it. I wanted to try granulated but always went back to the blocks.
  2. You can always buy a roll of linoleum flooring and lay it over the carpet. More durable than a tarp if you spill, or drop something on it.
  3. I think you can get burned out by anything at anytime. Like tonight, I have to pour, and I don't wanna!!! But I will, because that is what I do
  4. I want to make some brochures, but don't want to use Word or Works. Can anyone recommend a good program I can use instead? TIA:cheesy2:
  5. You can also report these issues directly to Mastercard and Visa. We used to get complaints all the time when I worked for a CC company, and Visa/MC definitely follow up. I have seen merchants lose their CC privileges for a long period of time of rule violations. You can find the Visa/MC numbers online or by calling your CC company. A lot of it probably has to do with people's inexperience. You only get people that follow the rules if they care to follow the rules. Glad it got worked out
  6. Oh gosh, I said I was not going to buy anything new...but I have to try them!!!
  7. Here it is: http://www.candletech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=29716&highlight=credit+card
  8. I think this is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks
  9. I'm worried about one person touching one, and then another, and passing the scent from one tart to the other with their hands. Sorry I was not clear.
  10. I was thinking this too, but was worried with people touching then all and the scents getting mixed. I know I would not was a lemongrass-pumpkin pie-juniper-peach scent
  11. I only sell tarts and votives, and have my first show coming up. I am at a loss as far as how people are gonna smell my scents. I package my tarts in 3's and singles. What can I put out for people to smell so they can decide on what scents they want. The 3's cannot be opened, but the singles can (zip bag vs. polypro bag tied closed). My original thought was to pour a small amount in a tealight cup, and label the back. Then, I could store it in a bag when not in use to preserve the scent. Then, I thought of small baby food jars, but then realized that would be a LOT of jars. So, any thoughts??
  12. I love that. Never have to think about logos on the packaging
  13. I hope you did not actually test this Might be a good selling point
  14. If you are using paraffin wax, I use IGI 4794. I like it, and it pours nice.
  15. Looks very nice You may was to fix your returned check sign. It should say NSF, not NFS.
  16. I have had a request for a wickless candle. I only make tarts and votives, so the only wax I have is IGI 4794. Would it be OK to use this wax for a wickless candle? I hate to order special wax just for this one thing. TIA
  17. I am in need of baskets for my product displays. Anyone know of any good places that sell baskets that are inexpensive (less than buying at Michaels or AC Moore)? I would prefer a place that has no more than a $50 minimum to buy. I am not looking for round baskets, but rectangular ones if that helps Thanks!!
  18. I love the green swirled one too!!
  19. I like the tie dye one...very cool!!
  20. One of my favorite suppliers. I order on Friday night, and Monday morning it is at my door. So far, have not had a bad one, and I have tried: Butt Naked Buttered Rum Chocolate Chip Cookies Clothes Line Coffee Caramel Cream Fresh Cut Roses (my mom had this same tart going for over 12 hours and was still strong!!) Fresh Peach Fruit Blast (smells like Hi C fruit punch) Green Apple J&J Juniper Breeze Lemongrass Melonberry (love this one!!!) Mid Summer Night Monkey Farts Muscadine Grape Ocean Mist Pears and Petals Sage and Citrus Starfruit and Mango (my favorite!!) Plus, I ordered all their holiday scents, so I have yet to try them all.
  21. The craft stores are my weakness. I love to try new things, and what better thing to spend my money on besides flowers, ribbons and fabric!!!
  22. I beleive Wal Mart carries them, and if you have an Ikea near you, they do too. This post reminded me I wanted to get some for the holidays!!
  23. That's really great!!! Nice how things can get better!! Oh, and NancyJo, I worked for credit card companies for years. Of coure you have to read the offer of credit before you take it. And, I worked at Capital One, and never had a fee like that for a limit increase LOL. But I think I know who you are referring to.
  24. Those are some of the prettiest ones I have seen!! You should be very proud of all your hard work. It paid off
