  1. These are my very first votives Scented with Melon Berry from The Candle Source. Not sure of the wick type, they were bought way before I knew there were different kinds of wicks. I am going to test burn later...wish me luck!!!
  2. Just a few questions. I searched, but was still not able to get a specific answer. So here goes... Is there an amount of time I should let them cure to check the hot throw? I just want to hear what those of you who make votives do. And, should I wait to test the burn until they cured, or am I ok test burning once they are set up. I think that is all my ???'s so far...and wish me luck, I'm a little nervous!!! TIA for all your help
  3. Thanks for all the help. I am off to check out some of these places
  4. I had a request to make neon colored tarts. Is there such a thing as neon colored dye, and if so, where can I get it?? I looked online and nothing came up when I googled it. TIA
  5. I would also call them. 1-402-935-2050. Yes it is long distance, but worth it to actually speak with someone. Paypal and I hve been around the block on a variety of things, and this is the best way. A lot of times the emails are templates, so like yours it means nothing to the situation at hand. Good luck, because you are gonna need it.
  6. Well, good luck with the dirty guy. Sounds like it might be more interesting than Miss High and Mighty...just make sure you share any good stories with us LOL
  7. Currently, I use IGI 4794 for my tarts. Was wondering if anyone has tried the IGI 4641 (the former Honeywell V). I ask because it is in pellets, and I would love to not smash big slabs of wax on the ground. The neighbors already think I am crazy TIA for your help!!
  8. I use a pre blended votive wax. All the right chemicals are in it already, you just melt, add FO and pour.
  9. You must be talking about a different company. http://thecandlesource.com/id1.html This is their list of scents, and those 2 you mentioned are not sold by them. So, you must have gotten them somewhere else. So, did you also get the base somewhere else too??
  10. I love their oils. They have quick turnaround time, and their shipping is actual, no additional fees. They have an ongoing sale, so their prices are real good. I don't think you will be disappointed
  11. Get the digital one. It makes life a whole lot easier. Walmart sells one that is $30 and works nice.
  12. Was just wondering if anyone has tried this and if you have any opinions on it: http://thecandlesource.com/catalog/i1079.html TIA for your information
  13. OK, that looks way too real...good thing I already had some ice cream, because I would have come over to your house
  14. I really like logo5. I think the black script is nice, and it is easy to read. Glad you got your big girl panties on, that should toughen you up
  15. Yes, it is a metal bucket. Was something different to do than a regular basket. Thanks everyone, I'm glad you like it!!!
  16. This is for a gift basket I made for a wedding gift. It has an assortment of tarts, There is a tart burner buried in there somewhere!!!
  17. I have so far tried the Frankie and Meryl (that is the nickname for it) Coconut Lime Verbena, Honeysuckle and Magnolia and Pink Grapefruit. I hated the Frankie and Meryl, but the rest were great.
  18. I like them!! I can't wait to get my clamshells. I hope mine turn out as nice as yours
  19. I remember seeing a thread about using Saran Wrap as a packaging material for tarts and such. I searched and no luck in finding it, and the old board is not cooperating Few questions: Does it have to be real Saran Wrap, or can it be store brand? Can you use a heat gun to get it to seal better? TIA I appreciate all your help
  20. This is what I was hoping to hear. Even though I know not to trust how it smells at first, I still do. I'm gonna make some this weekend, and I'll let you know. Thanks for the replies!!!
  21. OK, so I ordered these FOs and almost none smell good OOB to me. Here is what I got: Baby Powder Coconut Lime Verbena Cucumber and Cantaloupe Honeydew Melon Honeysuckle and Magnolia Papaya and Mango Storm Watch Type Watermelon Frankenchouli Pink Grapefruit Frankencense and Myrrh Anyone know if any of these are good, or is my nose on the fritz? TIA!!!
  22. So, if these can't be used to package things like candles and tarts, what are they good for? I had someone who was being very nice order me bags, but they ordered these instead of polypropylene. So, now I have 1000 bags, and no clue what I can use them for!!! I have also gone ahead and ordered the right bags TIA (woohoo!! I am now an enigma!!) Edited to add: They are 4x6 in size and flat.
