  1. This is a muffin I made w/ cinni minnis also in SC...For those of you that make these, I'm curious whether you single or double wick these. I have made these for a couple of yrs. and they are one of my biggest sellers, and have tried both ways of wicking. I get about the same result, except the burn time is longer w/ one wick. I am curious to hear others' input on these. Thanks,
  2. I have been using Brighterscents for a long time and love their fo's!! They have great CS and great deals!! I haven't had an fo yet w/ them that I didn't like oob or in wax!! ( I take that back--Hot Buttered Popcorn is grooosss!!) Which ones did you order...I've tried almost all of 'em! Let me know whatcha think when you get them.
  3. Since I am just wanting to start off w/ some basic lotions and butters, where would I find containers (like the double wall jars)?
  4. ] Some Candles I made the other nite...Sorry they aren't that great!!
  5. Nice Job!! I can't ever get my blueberrys to show throught the top like that...how'd you do it???
  6. The freezer should help...when u take it out, place it on the counter and tap the bottom. It should come right out. Hopefully
  7. ooohhh! Thanks soooo much for the info! some good suppliers that you would recommend??
  8. I like this question, as I too, have wondered this. I just know that wedding cake, banana nut bread (and a couple others) are thicker but only because of experience. I would also like to know how you would know this before hand... good question!
  9. ooohhh, will have to try the country kitchen!!
  10. damn--I thought I was bad LOL!! Brighterscents..the toasted marshmallow is really lite, but I like it. Doesn't throw that great hot (IMO). The Mulberry, IMO, is wonderful!! The cola and pina colada are also great! Haven't tried the others, so I'd love to know whatcha think! I've been using brighterscents for a long time and swear by them. I'd love to hear your opinion
  11. JS has a cinnamon donuts that is great, and I recently made a batch w/ their cinnamon vanilla that is kinda sweet. HTH
  12. I also have used the mini muffin pans for a long time. You can put the little liners in when you have an fo accordingly, and they look like peanut butter cups ( I can't keep those in stock). I have used candy molds, but they are really small, so I use them for party favors when I get those orders. I just did a wedding and got the molds w/ bells and hearts, made tons of them in wedding cake, and put them in sachets for favors. They were a big hit! I've also done it for baby showers. I've also found some cute ice cube trays (I have some Texas shaped ones), that work really well.
  13. I started w/ 10 quickly rose up to over 100 and decided to scale back and keep it around 40. I agree w/ candle man... Whatever sells in your area would be the best to go by. I can't sell anything but bakery/food scents here. For some reason, the floral and perfume dupes do not sell at all. I made a costly mistake by going all out and thinking more was better. I quickly found out that less is more.
  14. I have been wanting to add a B&B line to my candle line for quite some time (actually, since I started making candles;) ) I am curious about the overhead for this. I simply want to start out w/ just body butters, simple lotions (I know...one you get started, there's nothing simple or cheap about it:rolleyes2 ). I have researched some suppliers, and equipment but would like to hear first hand from all of you that I talk to everyday. Whatever you'd like to tell me about this (info on suppliers, equipment, $$$$$, etc.) I would love to hear it! I just keep putting it off, but think about it everyday. Maybe I should just jump into it and see how it goes. Thanks every1!:highfive: OOPS!!! I think I posted this in the wrong section and can't delete it...sorry guys!!
  15. Good luck...let us know what you think after you change it
  16. I will try the mixing and see how it goes. Thanks for all of the input! You guys always have the right answers!!
  17. I've used both liquid and block and they both do well.
  18. I triple wick my hearts and haven't had any trouble w/ them burning. HTH
  19. Those look great!! Keep sharing
  20. www.brighterscents.com has premium soy fo's.
  21. I have to agree...one of the best. I only use 1oz. pp, maybe ease up .5 oz. and that might help a little.
  22. That's how I do it. But TropicalBreeze.com also sells "icing" in 8 oz. jars. It comes in Strawberry, Chocolate, and Vanilla. It comes in handy w/ something simple and if you only need a little. HTH
  23. I second Scented on that. With my experience, the silicone is far worth the $$. They don't require near the care that the poly ones do. Good Luck!
