  1. I agree with you EXCEPT that I think craft malls are for many vendors, whether it be selling the same type of craft or different. Customers know upon entering a craft mall that there are booths from wall to wall containing different styles of pretty much the same thing. I don't know about flea markets...don't frequent them, but that's what craft malls are all about. Unfortunately, there are going to be "those" types of people mentioned by SueH that are very concerned about competion, and IMO, unless you make your products with dollar store vaseline, you don't have anything to worry about
  2. Will be checking the local pool supply in the a.m! Never thought about that one..
  3. I've also had that on my stats several times lately. You can track the ip address of the person that uses it on your site I (my lawyer has) found that it is belonging to some of the same malicious guest book signing that I've had going on. I had no idea, however, about the wiki thing, so thanks for the heads-up!! I hope you can put a stop to it...a lawyer works best
  4. This is a question that noone is really going to be able to answer for you. There are so many different kinds of containers, waxes, fo's, etc. that vary in cost. It is something you would have to order, make and then go from there. I'm sure there's some talk about some of this in the search section, but it really is a difficult one to answer.
  5. Great Job JD!! PA is awesome, as she's done all of my work for a couple of years now!! She is an excellent person to do business with and I'm glad you decided to go this route! Your site looks great!!
  6. Dallas..we don't make our butters with vaseline, so naturally we have better places we want our candles and with what we want them sold next to We don't re-use dollar store tins and list them on our sites as something huge, so we could sell our line with votivo It's really easy for someone to give someone else advise that has only sold at flea markets. Sweetscents..My hat's off to ya! I hope you do well!

  8. I think that it would make a great tart warmer IMO
  9. I am completely lost with this one?? Are you sure you are talking about "reed diffusers"? Because I don't think that is what you are meaning. Reed Diffusers are a bottle of "oil" with reeds (stick looking things just in case you are unsure of what they are) sticking out of them. There's no heat or flame involved.
  10. I use these to store my leftover scented wax in, but I don't know about tarts. I have cases of them, they would make huge tarts..
  11. I am not getting any good results with these with anything less than triple wicking. You've got a pretty good amount of hangup and it looks like your burn is about done. I don't know what wicks you are using, but these things take some serious testing.
  12. Greenleaf , NG, & TCS all seem the same to me.
  13. I usually don't chime in on these things, but I am only going to say that you really must know about your wax before using it. There are flash points to wax, and there are waxes for containers and waxes for molds. My suggestion is to buy some wax from a supplier that way you would know what you are messing with. I know this isn't the answer you were wanting, but it's the safest.
  14. Okay Malinda...You've gotta let me know who this is;) .
  15. Have to agree with NG's after trying so many! I've stuck with that one, now.
  16. OMG...That's alot of questions:confused: I think it's time to search...The search feature will provide you with most of your answers. Wick sizes, etc. But IMHO...When I bought "tarts", I didn't want a tiny tart that was going to take adding 6 more to to get any throw...and a "tiny tart" isn't going to throw well with just one. Have you tested just one to see how it does? I would think that being that small, that 10 min. of burning (melting) it would start smelling burned.
  17. I just want regular labels with my logo on them to place on my clamshells, tarts and jars. I am getting really busy and would rather pay to have them done. Thanks for your help! It is much appreciated
  18. I thought I had someone to take care of my labels for me, and has since gone AWOL. If any of you do labels, please pm me. I have my logo and there are a couple of diff. sizes I need. I don't have the time nor the quality printer for it. TIA!
  19. Just had to comment, as everyone's comments kinda struck me. I wouldn't buy this as the mug is one of those old mugs that goes with dishes from Wal-Mart or Target, but as far as it being too full?? I fill my mugs and certain other candles to the top and they melt in...not out. I have grubby mugs that overflow the top and they melt in. We don't know if this person has tested this or not...but until it's been tried..... I'm not saying I love "this" candle, I'm just commenting on the "full" comments.
  20. I couldn't help but looking past your paint! Sorry, but what kind of candle is that?
  21. Thanks Portia...going to wick it tonight and will definitely keep ya posted
  22. There are a couple of suppliers that will sell 1 lb. samples. That would be a great way for you to test different waxes without over-spending.
  23. I just got a triangle pillar mold that is 2" x 6" and would greatly appreciate any wick suggestions. I only use zinc wicks, so if anyone knows where I can start, I'll be soooo happy. I was thinking maybe the 44-24-18. TIA
