    Crafty, that is what my BF did for me! and it works well enough if I use the metal tape on the little hole. He used his Dremel to do it. Have no idea what size bit he used though. Just have to make sure the little metal burrs are removed before you use it. HTH Pat

    Glad that it helped. I like Meredith's idea too, just here in FL its too hot at times to have the oven on. If you have a heat gun, it would also work to just take the chill off and help get out any excess from previous pours. Pat

    Hi Some people use the glass coffee carafes for pouring pots, others use old, clean coffee cans with a spout for pouring bent in. Just about anything that can hold heat can be used for melting the wax. The other thing to do is just melt as much as you need until you can get something in the UK for larger quantities.     Just an idea, but have you tried preheating your pour pot before you add the wax? I usually put my pour pot on the double boiler before I add the wax pretty much to take the chill off it. HTH Pat

    Not always at 6%. But another question is, what kind of wax are you using? I used the BRV from natures garden and had no trouble with it. I used it in a para/soy blend. HTH Pat

    Last month I ordered 10 from each. Out of those 30, from Solas definitely Vanilla Plum Berry Patch Guavaberry From NG Black Raspberry Vanilla Bermuda Triangle Paradise Reef From AH/RE Bird Of Paradise Caramel Sensations Tropical Fruit Slices But of course there are so many more. I can't see just getting 3 from anywhere. HTH Pat

    I think a 2 ounce would be better to test the different applications we all use. One ounce is ok for one thing, 4 ounces is too much if you don't like it. At least with 2 ounces you can make a few more things. IMHO Pat

    The flame stopper is to keep the wick from burning further than you want, so I would "think" you place them down near the bottom, above the tab, and crimp them closed. I haven't seen them in person, but do they have an open end on both ends? If so, slide it down the wick above the tab, and use a pair of pliers to crimp it. HTH Pat

    This is really a hard thing to judge. I had a votive and a pillar both burning next to each other and the votive out threw the pillar. And I had to blow them both out because they were too strong. The scent is still lingering after 2 days just from the votive. I live in a two story apartment, so if I can smell them upstairs, I am doing something right. (I hope). HTH Pat

    When I was playing with angles, I tried to do even layers in a mold. That was funny. I marked a wooden skewer the length of the mold, divided by 3 and used that as a guide to measure the sections on the mold. I used the black electrical tape as a guide on the outside of the mold. Two out of three layers were even. My fault I didn't measure as high on the mold as I thought. Ooops. Live and learn though :embarasse HTH Pat
