    Testing Raspberry Brulee from Bert. Throws like crazy at 6% in my 444.

    If you are talking about the accusoy 10, I tried it. It is a very nice wax, makes very pretty candles, BUT, I had no luck double wicking an apothecary jar. If you use a smaller diametar jar so it can be single wicked I think it would be great. I got a lot of soot on my wax and one of my wicks would die almost every time. It does need some cure time to get a good throw. I decided to stay with my 444.

    I use a white tile, or a piece of freezer paper, drop a few drops on and let it set up.

    I have both of these, but I went ahead and ordered some square braid also. It would be better if I can use ones I already have and use. Does it matter that they are waxed?

    What kind of wicks do you all use with this for pillars. Not wanting to know sizes just, square braid, flat braid, or could you use the same type as containers such as LX, HTP,Cotton,CD, etc? Thanks for all your replies already. Think I'm gonna go ahead and try the PB and see how it goes. Now off to pick out a mold....

    I was just asking because I have one and burned my 444 wax. Maybe I'm using it wrong. Just not sure I like it because of the burning issue.(burnt soy wax smells terrible)

    I want to try my hand at making pillars, and am wondering if Ecosoya PB works ok for making them. I have some of this wax that is why I'm asking. Or is there a better pillar wax for a beginner? I'll probably order a mold from peaks and could order some wax if there is a better choice from them. Thanks for any advice! Rebecca

    One thing I don't like is that the outside bars are bigger than the inside ones. Is this normal? I'm not sure if they all are like this or just mine. Also my dividers don't go all the way tight to the sides, only on 2 of them. Almost like they were cut a little short. I really like how smooth the (divider) sides come out, but on the foam sides I can see your point, the wavyness.( I can live with that though)

    I got my big box of goodies, I opened it and sniffed all of them and OMG:drool: . I have the box sitting at the other end of my table and I can still smell them. The one I smell the strongest is the Andes thin mint, WOW.

    I feel like an idiot asking this but here goes, On soapmaker when you use the premixed lye option do you still add the extra water. Not sure if that makes sense. There is a box for your lye amount and a box for the water, even when you use the premixed option it still gives an amount for the water, do you add that (water)to your premixed solution? Or do you add the two together and use that much of your premixed solution ? I guess I'm making it more difficult than it is. I guess I'm confuseing myself because when I mixed my solution I did a 2:1 ratio and on soapmaker it shows as 1:1 .

    Is there a difference in the finished soap qualities between EV and pomace olive oil (or any of the OO's)? I was gonna order some but I wanted to see if I could save some money ,by ordering the pomace, and still get good qualities. Just thought I'd ask!

    Dang it, I just placed a big order on the 23rd and now she's having a free shipping sale:cry2: . That's just my luck. I guess I'll have to make another order. I guess I'll be able to try this tropical vanilla now, since I didn't order it on the last one.

    I've been having trouble wicking the accublend 10. Haven't tried the CD's yet, tried a few with cdn's. seem to get a lot of soot on top of my wax. not sure if it's the wicks I'm using or a characteristic of this wax. I have some of the Coconut wax, I haven't tried it yet.
