  1. Anchor Hocking, directly? I found some jars of theirs that I like but they don't have a cart. Do you have to buy from them by the pallet, or can small timers purchase a few cases at a time. Just thought I'd see if anyone knew?
  2. NG has it also. Smells pretty good OOB. I haven't tried to soap it yet though.
  3. Don't feel bad, I have a three layer from Old virginia candle I found at cracker barrel and that is what I've been burning in my enclosed front porch (where we smoke). In the house I'm testing NG melon mist (love this scent) in a new jar.
  4. Glad to know this. I like the sweet tooth(AH) but was hoping to find it somewhere else. Now just need to find a dupe of their Lav, apples & oak.
  5. Does anyone who uses one of these use 444? I have one and have quit using it cuz it burned my wax. And I never turned it up above 200. I tried the turning it down to 150 when not using but still somehow after time my wax got burned, It smells awful and discolored. Not sure if anyone else has had this problem or not, maybe I'm doing something wrong.
  6. I use LX wicks with my 444. Occasionally I have used CDN, and HTP and they worked fine. I don't use the same jars as you so I couldn't tell you where to start for sizes.
  7. Let us know if adding something helps with this one. I really like the smell of this (OOB & CT) but the fuel smell while burning was awful. Also wondering if anyone has had luck wicking the Andes thin mint. I wicked up 2 sizes from my norm and still gave me trouble. Tried a diff type wick and seems ok (not great) so far but the size of the wick ,IMO, seems huge. The CT & HT is amazing but after a couple burns the flames keep wanting to die.
  8. I don't use the same wax, I use 444, or that jar, but I do use LX wicks in a (@) 3.75" jar and most scents I use an LX 16. So I would start, if it were me, with LX 14 and go up or down from there. Hope that helps a little.
  9. Who all carries this? I'm looking to try a new supplier for this and just wondering who I have to choose from. I have the BW version but I can't seem to get it to throw super in my soy. Seems wicked candles do OK but melts and wickless just don't measure up. It rocks in (CP) soap though!!!
  10. I would like to know also. That is why I wanted to try it.
  11. So glad this was brought up. I currently use pryme dyes and was getting low so I was gonna reorder soon. It did take forever to get my initial order so I'm not even going to bother. I went ahead and ordered some of the nova dyes to try. Hopefully they do well in soy. Thanks Vio for the recommend as I was going to ask if there was something comparable to the pryme. Maybe these will be better because they come in dropper bottles. The pryme dyes come in squeeze bottles and they are really messy, IMO.
  12. This is what I'm going to try then. Do you use real plain yogurt from the store? This is what I bought. And I guess you have to keep it cold, the soap I mean, after pouring, Like GM soap to keep from getting too hot? Or can you let it gel with out it overheating? Thanks for the input!
  13. When using yogurt in CP do you replace your water with it or just use a small amount PPO? I want to try this but I saw some threads that said only a small amount.
  14. I ordered one yesterday! I would have liked to get one of the Avery-berkel ones but it didn't say how much it was so I figured it was expensive. Someday I will have one, it looks pretty nice.
  15. All gorgeous! I'm so tempted to try palm wax.
  16. The only one I have tried from your list is the Downy Clean Breeze. It throws like crazy, both hot and cold in my 444. Love that scent.
  17. I don't think this is posted in the right place, but I have made several blue batches with Ultramarine blue oxide. Not sure if "powder pigment" is the same as oxide though.
  18. The microwave thing is absolutely true. Luckily all my candle making is in my garage. It's just when I make soap that I really have to watch out.
  19. I have two. One is from old will knots, like it mostly but every once in a while it kinda freezes on me, and it won't weigh in single grams. The other really sucks, it skips numbers,if that makes sense and it has an auto shut off that can't be changed even plugged in. I really want a new scale, one that is reliable, can be plugged in or use batteries, has auto shutoff with an over ride, and weighs reliably in single grams if needed. Am I asking too much:confused: . I thought I'd get some input as I'm sure most of you have good scales. Thanks Rebecca
  20. OMG, Those are gorgeous!!! *soap porn approval*
  21. It's already done. It wasn't much. I wish I could erase this thread, I feel like an idiot for asking this. My anal thinking, was so worried about the kitchen sink/disposal issue, didn't even think about the tub or bath sink.
  22. I have researched this and still can't figure it out in my mind. How to figure out how much oils and salt for my mold size. I wanted to use salt at 75% of my oils, but can't seem to figure out the oils either. I know the salt is not going to double the oils size, to fit in the mold correctly. I don't know if I am making this harder than it should be or not. Would someone mind terribly, helping me? My brain has been so dead lately!
  23. I stumbled accross this site a while back. http://www.fookes.com/ezthumbs/ It's free and not too hard to use. Not sure if it works for website pics, but it should.
