  1. I'm pretty sure I saw it on Aroma haven site.
  2. Just FYI I'm trying to get a co-op going on these. Check out the co-op section.
  3. I am just curious as I have seen and heard so many different expectations on scent time for melts. Mine seem to last anywhere from 12 hrs to 48 hrs, depending on the scent. I know it varies with different wax and scents. I just wonder what people expect or hope for.
  4. :shocked2: OMG that's beautiful. The last one you posted was too! I may have to try that scent also. Sounds awesome.
  5. I have made tarts from 444. They will be a tad soft, but if they are for your use (and family) it would work fine. You may/or may not have to put the mold in the fridge to get them out, but they work fine.
  6. MMS has clamshells for soap. They're not cubes, just one solid bar. Actually they have 2 sizes now. http://www.thesage.com/catalog/UniqueItems.html#Clamshells
  7. That is great looking! Did you use a scent, or does the coffee butter scent it? I have been wanting to try a coffee scrub bar. How much coffee(grounds) would you use?
  8. The color change after burning is a characteristic of soy. At least in my experience it is. I have always had this.
  9. Rinse it under running water and rub the ash, it should come off, and be nice and shiny! Works for me.
  10. Does anyone do refresher sprays to offer with the wax dipped bears? I had a customer ask, but wasn't sure how well this would work. I also wonder, would you use straight FO or dilute it? Thanks for any tips.
  11. How about these http://www.bayleysboxes.com/soap%20box.html
  12. My SIL got some of their melts from someone (as a gift) and she tried them. She says they don't come close to comparing to mine!
  13. I have done this too, but I did 3 bars of each scent(Tony's molds, work great for this) and only 6 scents. Works great, but I can't imagine doing 23 different scents. Wow that must have been a workout,LOL.
  14. Could this be it? http://www.cosmeticscop.com/learn/cosmetic_dictionary.asp?id=24&letter=S
  15. OMG those are the cutest. My little girl would love them. I will be ordering some!
  16. This is what I was thinking. I'm still trying to figure a way to make a small heated box of some kind. I'm just stuck on how to regulate the temp.
  17. I'm wondering what makes the oven good for cooking soap? Does that make sense? I mean, could I make a box with a heater of some kind in it (something to keep it at 150) and would it work the same. I am so used to, and like the oven process, and my new workshop does not have an oven, or a 240v outlet to put one in. I have been racking my brain for ideas on making a makeshift oven. Maybe someone has ideas that I am missing. I know some people use a heating pad to cook their soap, does this make it the same as CPOP?
  18. I'm also lovin the Sweet Peas & Rhubarb, Thanks for the suggestion Kymber! It soaps really nice too. I'm having to go back and forth between the Botella De Esencia and the Sweet Peas & Rhubarb. The Jury's still out on the Bossa Nova. It seems like everytime I take a whiff, it smells different. More times than not my nose likes it. I think next time I order, I am gonna have to try the tassi lavender, and get a bigger bottle of the Bacchus ( I only ordered 1 oz). I still have to soap the Bacchus, but OOB I like it. Though to me it doesn't really smell manly(IMO), I guess I'll have to sniff it a few more times to really tell. I am so in love with Southern Soapers. That just figures though, it seems that my favorite suppliers are all on the east coast and it takes forever (well not really forever, about a week) to get my orders.
  19. If it were me, I would add the monoi in place of some of the other oils or all of the soft oils. You'd just have to tinker with the amounts to get it the way you want it.
  20. I've heard that pomace can tend to speed up trace. From what I understand it has a higher amount of unsaponifiables (sp?).
  21. What is the best place (least expensive&good quality) to buy Kokum Butter?
  22. The 60% is of my recipe. So it's actually more than 100% of the weight of the oils, more like 120%.
  23. IYO what is the best sugar or sugars to use for a scrub? And what percentage. I have done over 60% and it still seams like it could be more scrubby. Also where is a good place to buy different sugars (preferably locally)? Thanks for any help.
