    I was using palm, but I'm trying to reduce the amount I need to have shipped.

    I had thought about BW but was afraid of the effects. I do use Babassu at 4%. Maybe I should up the amount??? Maybe I will try this. Or maybe I am trying foolishly to fix something that isn't broke. My bars are hard I just feel like they could be harder faster. I tried sodium lactate once(I thought I had heard it mentioned) but my batch stayed a bit sticky, it still is after @6mos. But I'm not sure if maybe it was the FO or the SL. I just haven't tried again. Thanks for all the great suggestions.

    Yes I use coconut. Maybe I will try just a little (like 3-5%) PKO and see if that helps. I'm afraid to add cocoa butter, don't really want more moisturizing for my basic soap. Maybe I'm wrong about that though. I guess I could try it both ways.

    In your opinion what is the best thing to use in a batch to make a harder bar? I tried PKO in some early batches and didn't like it because I like my oils on the cool side and it always wanted to solidify on me. I really like the other qualities of my soap the way it is, just would like it a bit harder.

    I tried doing away with it, but quickly went back. I think it really does help with frosting issues. Not saying it takes it completely away but it helps, for me anyway.

    Hummingbird is another on my list. I just wasn't thinking of it as a romantic scent from the description. I may have to add the Green tea & rose. I already have 15 scents picked and ready to order.(I was holding out to see if a sale starts) It's always my luck, as soon as I order from somewhere a sale starts, usually within days.

    I use this mold and my base recipe is 43oz of oils.

    Thanks for all the recommends. I have Amber Romance but it's just not strong enough for me. I'm ordering from BW so I'm thinkin of trying Amber Moon, Rosewood valley, Amazon teakwood, Pink chocolate, and Cashmere & pearls (and several others). Not sure how romantic or strong these are but we'll see. I may put in a NG order too, have to go see what I need.

    As far as I know this is only for containers. Maybe if you added something to it you could do pillars, not sure.

    What do you all think of as romantic scents? A friend asked the other day what I have that is romantic. I wasn't sure what to tell her. I have satin sheets but I don't think it's strong enough(the one I have anyway). I guess I'm just not good in that department. I think maybe my idea of romantic might be different than the next persons. Give me some opinions please. I'm thinking of placing an order with BW and maybe someone else too. Thanks

    I tried the liquid sample pack from TKB. I way prefer the powdered. The liquids are just the powdered ones pre-mixed with glycerin. They are very hard to squeeze (the small bottles anyway) and they take forever to get a decent amount to come out. I ended up having to throw away 2 of my bottles cuz trying to squeeze them I dropped them in my oils. The ones I got in the co-op, I am very happy with. I do as kidsngarden said and just take a little of my oils (before lye) and mix the powder in. Works great! ETA: The pop colors are awesome, so are the neons!!!

    Has anyone ever tried this? Is it anything like TSW Ultraviolet? I really wanted to try the Ultra Violet, but I'm too cheap to order oils at that price when I don't know if I'll like them.

    I discovered that the e-wax I have is the Conditioning e-wax. I think that is the same as the BTMS. I never used it before so I didn't know, when I looked at the jar it listed cetyl as an ingredient:tongue2: . I feel dumb now! Thanks for the reply though!

    for cetyl alcohol? I don't have any and the scrub recipe I want to make calls for it. Could I just up the e-wax or stearic? Which one? TIA Rebecca

    I was searching for a comedogency(sp?) chart, and the ones that I found don't list any butters (shea,mango,etc). They are even missing some normal oils. Does anyone know where I can find a good chart that lists almost everything? What I'm wanting to know is, how butters rank (specifically mango & shea)? Rebecca
