  1. Arkansas Glass Container sells them by the pallet only. They have good prices but they do not come with any lids. http://www.agcc.com/
  2. Vanilla Extract from BCS is strong and un-like most vanilla's you don't have to wick-up on this one. It smells like Vanilla Bean Icecream to me.
  3. Here is a frame that makes 14 pairs of tapers at a time. http://www.candlewic.com/Store/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=Candle+Making+Supplies&category%5Fname=Taper+Dipping+Equip%2E&product%5Fid=M%2D301 This place has metal taper molds and base shapers http://www.mdbenterprises.com/page5.html
  4. Try the craft foam sheets found at Wal-Mart, Michale's Arts & Crafts, Hobby Lobby, and JoAnn Fabrics they will work. If your 'cane is large enough you can also use glass pillar holders.
  5. As far as candles go I use to compair myself with the name brand big boys but not anymore. Here is what I do I buy candles from my area name brand, dollar store & other candles in our gift shops and florist's then I burn them. Then in my store I have a display of all of them clearly marked as the name brand, from which stores they came from how much they cost & the burn time I got out of each of them. Then I display my burned candle samples/testers next to them to show how my candles will completly burn with little to no soot & longer burn time. I'm not putting down these candles or stores I just show my customers what they get if they burn other candles verses my candles. The other candles always have some problem, very little cold or hot throw, tunnling down the middle with alot of hang-up, very sooty black jars & very poor burn times. I've even had customers bring in Home Interior candles that only burned for a few hours then they could not find the wick. They would ask if I could melt this candle down and put in a new wick. I said sure, but then show them my candles and tell them if you buy my candles you will NOT have this problem. Then they start buying from me. Like I said I don't say anything bad about my competition I just show the results and that always makes the sale & a new and lasting customer for me. Candle Man

  7. Why make it so confusing just use drops and go from there. If you pour 1Lb of wax count the # drops for that color. Example say you want light purple and you use 1 drop red & 1 drop blue but remember some FO will change the final color if the FO is dark in color. The way I keep my color chart is I use index cards in an index card file box with A-Z dividers. I write my cards like this: (these are just examples) 2# Cinnamon Red Container Wax Red Drops - 6 or 2# Cinnamon Red Votive/Pillar Red Drops - 3 File each card under the scent name then you can look up that color when you need to pour more of that scent. Hope this simplifies things. Candle Man

  10. How long do you use these, just a one time use then throw out because of smelly sweat? Is there anyway to clean or wash them?
  11. If you are useing a wick pin and wicking later I use a pre-primed & tabbed wick 60-44-18 Zink.
  12. I have thought about these before but after I got to thinking you could only use them once since they will get all stinky with sweat and no way to wash them.
  13. Try the fabric section of Wal-Mart or the fabric store. They should be around the quilting section. I have seen both types for laser & ink-jet.
  14. TDF will send out samples just call or e-mail them that's how I got mine.

  16. BCS has a great Gingered Peach & Pumpkin Cheesecake http://www.bittercreeksouth.com/fobcs.htm
  17. They have some here that are Polyurethane http://www.candlewic.com/Store/category.asp?catalog%5Fname=Candle+Making+Supplies&category%5Fname=Polyurethane&Page=1
  18. You can just pour the mold then after you take the candle out you can poke a wick hole. Use a cut piece of metal coat hanger sharpen one end then heat the now metal rod and poke through the center from top to bottom. You may have to re-heat the rod several times to get it through the candle. Then use a tabbed wick. As for these silicone bakeware you can find them at Wal-mart. Bunt pans in different shapes as well as a rose also the smaller ones as well.
  19. You can add other fruit scents to make Fruit Cocktail. Peach & Vanilla for Peaches & Cream. Peach & Cinnamon for Spiced Peaces.
  20. For a 'cane I use 5" & 6" round and pour to whatever hight you need. For everlasting photo candles I use 3" & 4" round and the heart & square pillar molds with a glass votive holder embeded in them & I pour these solid (not a 'cane). Like these from here http://www.franscandles.com/
