  1. I found that I could not use no more than 3/4oz Fo per Lb of wax with no additives or I would get sweeting of excess oil cooled slow and I got an even mottle.
  2. Here is what I found on one site about Fractionated Coconut Oil This mixture is an esterification of coconut oil fatty acids and glycerin. You can make soap with this dry, silky feeling oil, as well as making lotions, dry oil sprays, lip balm, scrubs or any other product you use fixed oils. I have liked the dry oil sprays made with FO and this oil or you can mix cyclo with this. This was found at http://www.thesage.com/catalog/FixedOil.html scroll down to Coconut Oil Fractions to find it. You may can find this oil at other suppliers too. Here is some more info I found about cyclo: Cyclomethicone can be used in a variety of ways. This clear liquid is a silicone with absolutely no odor, unlike alcohol based body sprays! It mixes with FO’s or EO’s beautifully with no clouding or separation! It has a silky smooth feel and is dry, not greasy. It is commonly used in personal care products such as lotions, creams, deodorants, conditioners, make-up, hair sprays, etc. Can safely be used in PET or HDPE plastic bottles. PVC is not recommended. Small bottles with fine mist sprayers are recommended (this product goes a long way and a small bottle will last awhile!). This stuff is truly amazing, once you try it you’ll be hooked! Dry Oil Body Spray/Perfume: Mix in FO or EO at any dilution depending on desired strength and recommended usage levels of FO or EO. Common dilution rates are 1 part FO/6 parts cyclo up to 1 part FO/3 parts cyclo. After Bath/Shower Body Oil: Mix in concentrations up to 50/50 with your favorite vegetable or botanical oil (I use soybean oil) and add FO or EO to desired strength. Spray on the skin after you shower while skin is still wet, then towel dry. Leaves your skin feeling so silky smooth yet not greasy at all! (Similar to Neutrogena Rain Bath Dry Oil Spray). Linen/Pillow Spray & Room Spray: Mix the same way you do for a body spray! Won’t leave linens wet and doesn’t stain! (test on white linen to make sure the FO doesn’t stain tho!) Hair: Use on hair as a detangler & defrizzing agent (spray on wet hair). Spray on dry hair as a shine serum! Or add to hair conditioners to impart more “slip” & detangling properties! Lotion: Add to lotions, creams, body butters and lotion bars to give a silky feeling (add up to 1% to pre-made lotion base, or 5% or more to lotion made from scratch). Bath Oils, Salts & Scrubs: Add to bath oils or scrubs for a silky less greasy feel. Use in place of glycerin in bath salts to impart a silky feel and give salts a nice sheen! Insect Repellent Spray: Just add your favorite blend of bug repellant EO’s such as Lemongrass, Eucalyptus, Peppermint, Citronella, Cedarwood, Catnip, Tea Tree, Lavender, etc. No nasty chemical smell like you get in commercial insect repellents! Remember to properly label your products per FDA instructions listing all ingredients by their INCI names in order of predominance (in order of most to least in the formula). INCI name for Cyclomethicone is… Cyclomethicone Candle Man
  3. Looks like this one would work better because it has a tip but it does cost much more
  4. Wal-Mart has a plastic spice rack 3-tier in the kitchen gadget isle if it's wide enough for your candles. You can also check Bed Bath & Beyond http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/product.asp?order_num=-1&SKU=10166667&RN=205 this is what I use.
  5. Anyone know where to find the wooden tops?

  8. This site can be of great help http://www.wicksunlimited.com/default.htm
  9. Office Depot has one in the rubber stamp isle you can letter yourself it's a self inking style. I have 2 and they work great just block letters and no logo. If I remember correctly they cost around $12.00
  10. The cyclo I order cost only .37 per once. So if I make an 8oz bottle Cyclo- .37x7=$2.59 FO @ an average of $1.00 per once = $1.00 PETE bottle with Fine mist spayer avg. $1.25 Water proof vinal label =.14 Total- $4.98 Sell for $10.00 B&BW 8oz Body Spray is also $10.00 I think 50% profit is OK for this product. Since cyclo is much stronger and last longer I think I will sell a 2oz purse size and a 4oz.
  11. I never really liked one wax on the market for containers so I blend my own and it works great. Also another reason I blended my own is I didn't want anybody to be able to dupe the wax I use.
  12. My customers use one of my citrus blends & Monkey Farts. They say there both are great for Food, Pet & Smoke odors.
  13. Here are some different discriptions I found for this scent Frangelico Streusel Our frangelico streusel scent begins with warm, buttery top notes of rich cream and caramel. Middle note of frangelico liquor, and a hint of fresh arabica coffee for its base note. Frangelico Streusel- Warm, buttery rich cream, caramel with Frangelico liquor and coffee. Frangelico Streusel Incredible! Is all I have to say! Our frangelico streusel scent begins with warm, buttery top notes of rich cream and caramel. Middle note of frangelico liquor, and a hint of fresh arabica coffee for its base note. Definitely detectable in this one! You will love this!
  14. I have use Fo 2 ways: 1- Just straight FO 2- FO cut with Cyclomethicone Even though they both worked I got a stronger throw with the cyclo mix and had no problems with it heating. Of course the night light I used has a 7watt night light bulb so the heat is not as intense as some difusers. I would not use the cyclo mix if the temp of the difuser was very hot but it worked great with this low wattage bulb and I have left it on 24-7 with no problemes.
  15. The archives has Robins instructions with pics.
  16. You might pour at a hotter temp maybe 175*F-180*F and see if that helps. You might also should only use vibar as your additive the stearic may have caused your problem.
  17. Yes they could be a fire hazzard. You could pour a hurricane wax in them let set-up awhile to form a wax shell. Then use a lower melt point container wax to fill the shell. Just make sure you test a complete burn to the bottom to see if you have any problems.
  18. I found I could only use 3/4oz per Lb of FO in this wax for mottle without sweating. As for the wick I use a 60-44-18Z with good results.
  19. I have found on a suppliers site that fractionated coconut oil is also a dry oil. You could cut the cyclo with fractionated coconut oil to save on cost. I found the info here http://www.thesage.com/catalog/FixedOil.html?mmsID=fe9ef9e142216f1a23930b1111e6f642 It is listed as Coconut Oil Fractions Triglycerides of Caprylic/Capric Acid on their site.
  20. Customers also need to know that color looks different in different lighting. So what you see in a store with floresent light will look different outside in sunlight.
  21. You can find it in the modle section of Michaels & Hobby Lobby. It is used to make your own decals for the models (planes, trains, boats etc.) The name brand is Testors and comes in clear or white size 5.5 x 8.5
  22. Here is the largest mold making supplies to the movie industry. They have a lot of info on the site, sample kits & DVD's. I went to one of their classes in Dallas, TX a couple of years ago. http://www.smooth-on.com/
  23. Can anyone answer this part of the post above? The first ingredient of this M&P base is Coconut Oil so that means that is the most oil in the product right, because ingredents are suppose to be listed in decending order? If I remember reading from the old board isn't Coconut Oil good for lather, but if to much is used it is really drying.
  24. I have done some wholesale orders but I don't see where it is worth it. It just takes so much time for these orders for the very little proffit I make. If I could do this faster or order in much larger quanity than I do now I might would try this more. I usually don't have what they want or enough ready made in stock and have to make it. Does anyone else feel Wholesale orders take to much time for the very little $money$ you make? The only thing good I can say for myself is that wholesale orders do get my products out to more areas and helps with advertising but man it's so time consuming. Candle Man
