  1. When did you buy one of mine sbs? When did you determine that mine have no throw? When did you decide that I didn't test mine and that I just sell them to stupid people who buy them over and over because they don't throw?
  2. I sell a lot of smelly jelly jars and I have repeat customers at every show. I wonder what the difference is? I sell mine as a kit. It comes with an envelope of the water crystals with directions, a plastic lid, a daisy lid and the FO of choice all inside the jelly jar. They mix it up when they get home. I have not has a single complaint in 3 years of selling them.
  3. Does it sink and get hard or stay the same height in the jar and get hard? If it sinks, you may want to whip, cool, whip, cool etc like with shea butter. If it stays the same height in the jar, then the mango is just too hard, add more liquid oil and try again.
  4. I make a bunch of Duck Soaps for my Christmas shows and they almost always sell out. I also make frog soaps, pirate soaps, embedded ball soap and cupcakes. They sell really well here.
  5. Onlinelabels.com has a printing program? I had no idea. I buy labels from them but I use the free Avery program to make and print labels.
  6. The only flavor oil I know of that is designed for both flavor and fragrance is a rose something scent from Oregon Trails. It may work well in tooth soap. I'll have to think about that one.
  7. LOL...Also OT, CareBear, which shea did you decide was the best?
  8. I made votives for a wedding four years ago, they were lavender and light yellow and the scent was Strawberry Jam. It is not necessary to match color with scent. I read somewhere that people either buy by scent and don't care about the color or they buy for color to match decor and don't care about scent. I think mostly just candlemakers really care if they match so I stopped trying.
  9. I made two batches of soap a couple weeks ago. The first was my regular recipe with mica color and cocoa powder swirls. It was beautiful but I forgot FO. I just left it on the counter for about 16 hours, I was disgusted. Beautiful soap, no FO. The next day it was white on top with ash. I made another batch the next day, same colors, same swirl but this time I added TN Love Spell. I put this batch in a 170* oven that I had just turned off but left the light on. I left it in the oven overnight and then unmolded at 24 hours. No ash. I have no idea what causes ash. I can gel some soaps and get horrible ash, others ash with no gel but there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason. I hope you figure it out, when you do, let me know, please.
  10. I dont know, I also do fish in a bag. There is a learning curve for them but they are easy enough to figure out. If you found some small Elmo figures, you could always put them on the top of the cupcake. You can make bright red with M&P soap if you use clear soap.
  11. Make soap cupcakes, they are super easy. Go to the Bramble Berry web site, she has a tutorial and even shows you on video how to make them. I sell tons of them at craft shows. Monkey Farts is a good choice for fragrance but I sold more chocolate than any other scent. The nice thing is that the FO discolors the soap to a brown anyway. I use a combo of clear and white layers. You can even add some cherry scent to make them cherry chocolate. They sold 2:1 better than straight cherry or fruit slices.
  12. Hey Stranger. Nice swirls. Welcome back to the dark side.
  13. Hey Aztec guy...You are losing more and more potential customers every day that you post here. Either chill out or take your bullsh*t somewhere else. Oh, wait. Here's an idea, why don't you start your own supplier forum and you can hype yourself all you want...somewhere else. To the OP, I have possibly seen what you describe. They can be small cracks in the glaze caused by the heat. They shouldn't be a problem, if that's what it is. I don't believe it will interfere with the integrity of the container.
  14. LMAO...I should clarify, I used the suppliers picture on a label, not a website. I still think that if you want to use a supplier picture, you should ask them, not us.
  15. I emailed a supplier and asked if I could use a picture on their site. They said yes. Why don't you email the supplier and ask? Then you would know for sure if it was ok.
  16. I use silicone liners when I make cupcakes. I didn't like them for real cupcakes so now they are in my shop for soap.
  17. You are a real piece of work. You do everything you can to piss off everyone and then say you were just kidding. Go play somewhere else, we're tired of your games.
  18. I always buy from MMS, the bulgarian Lavender. The prices have sure gone up since I ordered. It's a good thing I still have 8oz.
  19. I say just go with Lavender EO. It smells like actual lavender and soaps beautifully. You use about 1/2 of the amount you would use with FO so it soaps for about the same price.
  20. I haven't used my kelsei in a couple of years but I would always pry the outside off with a screwdriver. Then I take out the corner pieces, then try to pry off the inside slats. good luck!
  21. Currently (because it changes frequently) my favorite mold is a double log mold that Ric at the Dish made for me...I have two of them. They even have some kind of clear liners.
  22. Look for a wine or beer making store, they will have it.
  23. You're welcome. I know that fluid ounces and ounces are very confusing. I actually saw Alton Brown say on his cooking show that 8oz of buttermilk was the same weighed as measured. I wonder how many people corrected him.
  24. The bottle volume is based on the volume of water. Water has the same volume as weight. For example, 8 ounces of water weighs 8 ounces and fills a one cup measuring cup exactly. That isn't true with lotion. It is heavier than water so 8 ounces by weight doesn't fill a one cup measuring cup. You need to weigh a container, then fill it and then weigh it again. Subtract the weight of the container and you have the weight of your product. The small amount of FO that you're adding won't make much difference to the volume.
