  4. WillowBoo, I have tried this with my palm pillars to assist with keeping them warm and slow the cooling process, works great!
  5. I just received an order for the wick stickums from BCN approximately 2 weeks ago, poured 100 candles preparing for a show and did not have a bit of problem through the warming of the jars and pouring of the candles. Hope this helps.
  6. Sarah, I haven't had the problem that you are speaking of with the MMS tubes, but the lids do not fit as tightly as I would like.
  7. You might also try this place...http://countrykitchensa.com (country kitchen sweetart) they have quite an array of candy and bakery items and a very good selection of foils. I can't seem to get their catalog off of my desk....want to keep looking at all of the goodies. I also made a quick call to them for ya and inquired if they were paper backed of which they advised that they are not they only have the paper seperating each of the foils. Hope this helps.
  8. It has been awhile since I ordered the tubes from BCN but if memory serves correctly they were not as clear as the ones from MMS which I now use, but the lids were a better fit and did not have any problems with them. Only reason as to why I switched was shipping costs MMS is closer to me.
  9. I place the label on the lid with the scent and weight information and a warning label on the bottom that contains my contact information. I attempted to use hang tags long time ago but decided against it due to them bending and coming off when setting up and taking down at shows. It just became more time and cost efficient to place the label on the lid.
  10. Good job! My son would absolutely love one of those.

  14. I have been wanting to share some pictures but have been a little timid, due to all of your wonderful works of art that I drool over each day. Thank you to all of the wonderful people on this forum and all of the knowledge that you have shared with me, I felt that it was time to take a jump (deep breathe)..... 15. Those are absolutely adorable....alot of work
  16. Tammyc I have been using the 1343 successfully for some time to make tilted rustic everlasting pillars. It has been working beautifully with no problems if this helps at all. I do not find that I have problems with it being hard enough and I have not had any complications with it cracking towards the top of the pillar where the insert is placed. Any questions, just let me know. skydreamer

  18. Donita, This link might help you it shows how to stamp the images (or impress the image) in to the wax so it shows as though it was carved using a rubber stamp. It looks pretty simple. http://www.diynetwork.com/diy/cr_candles/article/0,2025,DIY_13748_2270749,00.html

  20. I have been playing with them also, still not able to single wick though and have tried quite a few. I finally tried double wicking with two htp 83's in a 16oz apothecary jar and they did fine for the most part, no tunneling, nice flame but did heat the jar up a little more than I would like. But you don't have the crust on the top of the candle as you do with some other wicks. I have tried, csn's, htp's and a couple of cd's along with a few others with this wax and so far I keep going back to the htp wicks. Hope this helps out a little bit.
