  1. Ooohhhh, I didn't know that:o . Thank you!!!! Can you see it now?
  2. I'm trying to decide on a font for my labels (I don't like whatIpreviously used) and I need some opinions . I'm going for a modern, clean lines look. Kind of simplish, KWIM? What one portrays that to you? Or if you have any other suggestions I'll take that too! Thanks! scented scented scented scented scented
  3. ...from a supplier that is in eastern US. Can anyone recommend a good wax, with GREAT throw?
  4. ...in soy? Scent throw aside, if i burn a soy candle 24 hours after making it will I get a "true" test burn? Or should I wait the two weeks and then burn? Does it make a difference?
  5. Can anyone recommend some good throwing (in soy) herb fo's. Maybe something with like basil or rosemary in it? Thanks!!!
  6. I melted one that I made today and no problems and a great scent throw . It came out of the clamshell fine too. I will test it some more to see what happens.
  7. I, also, have not had any luck single wicking my palm containers. I use two CSN 9's in my 3" jar and it doesn't get too hot at all. Now, if I could just get a better throw!
  8. What wicks are you all using with the C-3? I have been using EZ Soy (stopped for a bit since I was having wicking issues:angry2: ) and I am thinking about trying a different wax.
  9. Ok, well I made some. I made them like usual, but I waited to pour until the wax cooled a little bit (around 110 F). It didn't melt the clamshell. I'm going to let them cure at least a week and we'll see how they throw. They still look pretty too, even though I poured at a low temp.
  10. Has anyone tried using glass glow to make tarts? I'm going to make some today, but just curious if anyone else has tried it? Oh...do you still need to let tarts cure?
  11. For any of you that have tested both....do you think one throws better than the other?
  12. I use Frost palm. Try a different fo. So far, Palm Tree from CS is the ONLY scent that I have tested that hasn't worked for me at all. Every other fo I've tried has worked great!(Except for Satsuma from JS, that gave a fuel smell). Don't give up on the frost. It really is nice.
  13. I use the frost palm too. I've never tried the glass glow. My jar is also 3" but I use the Madison Jars. For the life of me, I could NEVER get it to work with a single wick. The CSN 16's would eventually soot too for me. I now use two CSN 9's and they work perfectly with every scent I've tested so far. You might want to try and double wick.
  14. That's exactly what happened to me too when I tried to single wick. Stinks, because you can't wick up since that's the biggest CSN they make. I decided to try and double wick with two CSN 9's and it works perfectly! My jar doesn't get that hot though, like yours does (I use a different jar than you do). If only CS would do their CSN 7's in 6 inch length! Maybe we should request that, I bet that would solve your hot jar problem:2cents: .
  15. I use CSN wicks from CS and for me and my container they work great! However, I could not get them to work for me using only one wick, I have to double wick in order to get a clean burn.
  16. I'm using a soy/palm blend if that makes a difference
  17. ...but do you need to let tarts cure too, like a container candle? :embarasse
  18. I've never seen them before, but it definitely looks like a palm blend to me. I know Mia bella advertises their candles as soy too, but clearly they have something else in them too:rolleyes2 .
  19. Does anyone know where I can get some simple electric tart warmers? I don't want to buy a ton, just a few. I really like the simple look of thesebut they are $25:
  20. Thank you so much for the great ideas everyone!!
  21. I've ordered the frosted tumblers from them before. GREAT quality! However, they are on the west coast and I'm on the east coast so shipping for me was a killer! They do have nice glass though.
  22. I'm out of palm wax (ordering some on payday )and I'm thinking of making some tarts with some soy I have. Other than the two palm containers I have curing I don't have anything to burn and smell *faint* !!!! I've never made "tarts" before so I don't have the molds or whatever you use. What do you use anyway? I have some tiny muffin tins, would that work? It's just for me, no need to make them "pretty". What else can I use if not that? Thanks!!
  23. Ok, you can add Chestnuts and Brown Sugar from Just Scent. Throws great after only 48 hours of cure time!
