  1. I know I need to test for myself to see what works in my wax, but I thought I'd start with asking all you experts here. I'm looking for recommendations for the following scents: Apple Pie a vanilla buttercream crunch kind of scent (I know about JS,but are there any others?) Blueberry cobbler type scent Orchid a good, unique pomegranite apple cider I am about to place an order with Tennesee Candle Supply and Candle Source so if any from there are not to be missed I'd love to know. I'm looking for STRONG scents as I use palm and like 'em strong .
  2. I'm sorry I'm not going to be much help, but that's what kept happening to me too in 100% soy. I got so frustrated with trying to figure it out I gave up on it. I hope someone can give you some good advice on what to do.
  3. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BERT!!!:cakegirl:  :whoohoo: *super banana*
  4. Don't be sorry sabrina. :smiley2: We need to hear ALL reviews....good and bad. Thank you!
  5. yes, it does. I don't color my candles though (I use palm because I don't like the "smell" of soy wax and I can't figure out wicking soy) so I'm not sure how it compares in looks to glass glow or others. I was getting frustrated with Candle Science running out of it all the time too. Here's their website and it's the SP487P. www.spwax.com.
  6. I just started using the veggie/palm container wax from S&P. I love it! I use it at 7%.
  7. really jen? I have tested several in palm too, that being one of them. I didn't get a fuel smell with mine. What % are you using?
  8. I have a few of mine made, but I don't color so you won't see the crystal effects of the wax. I also have not burned mine yet...waiting for the to cure a bit before I light them. I made them using 7% fo load, so I hope they work .
  9. Bugtussle, if I'm not mistaken, she is not doing pillars. She is testing palm containers. Right? Thank you for your test reviews...I'm going to be doing a bunch of testing next week!
  10. I am also going to test with the CSN wicks. They work great in the glass glow, so I thought they would probably work in this wax too. What ones did you order to test with? I double wick my 3 1/4" container with two CSN 9's and it seems to work well. I'll also let you know how it goes.
  11. Thank you so much for posting your testing!!! I just ordered some too, and I will be trying it out next week. I will also post my results .
  12. They will give you a lb or two to sample for free. You just have to email or call them and they will send you out some. It's a veggie wax. I've heard that there is NO soy in it.
  13. I got a sample of it back in April and I tested a couple fo's with it. The ones I tested were known "good throwers" and they had an excellent throw. I actually just ordered a case because I wanted to try it some more (I still can't get my glass glow to stay in my container!). oops, edited to add that I used about 6%. 1 oz fo per pound.
  14. The candle Source sells it also (great prices!).
  15. I'm in Central NH....right on Lake Winnipesaukee.
  16. You don't even know how excited I am about this!!!! They are within driving distance for me too...about an hour (but that's NOTHING for us up here in New England. Heck, it takes me 45 mins. to get the the grocery store!). Since I'm not totally sold on my soy wax that I've been using (GB415) I may just have to try the C-3 just because I can pick it up. And if they start carrying glass too, well that would be soooo good. Wow, this is really exciting for us new englanders !
  17. I wish I could do that! I really wish someone would start a candle supply business up here in New Hampshire .
  18. I agree. I love BCN's regular fo's in EZsoy. I was less than impressed with a few WYW oils I tried. They were okay, not worth the extra money though. I have had good luck with the BNL fo's I've tried, but then again I've only tried a handful of their oils. Good luck with your testing.
  19. Ok, I found out that yes it is in addition to the shipping charges and they add it on to every order regardless of how much you buy. So, it will be an additional $15 if I buy one case or 20 cases. $32 to ship to me is too expensive, guess I won't be trying that wax:sad2: . It's S&P. I like their wax, but not for that much!
  20. Ok, I'll call them. I've never heard of a company having two seperate fees for shipping is why I questioned it. I didn't want to seem like an idiot when I called, if this is common practice to have two shipping charges is all. I planned on calling to ask, I just wanted to see what others said before I did. Thanks, I'll call them now to find out.
  21. I asked a supplier to give me an approximate shipping cost and this is what was written: UPS cost for a single carton is approximately $17.19. Four cartons equals 'hundred-weight' service and is discounted. The FedEx rate is marginally better. In addition all orders shipped via parcel services will include $15 Shipping / Handling cost . We ship within three days from receipt of an order. I understand it, all but what I put in bold. So, does that mean I pay $17.19 PLUS a $15 shipping and handling fee? If so, that's crazy. What do you think, is that what it means?
  22. Just curious, KandleKrazy, which palm you are using?
  23. I guess I didnt' word it very well. I already have a wax I use (that I have found to be the cheapest so far for me, and it's NOT the closest to me either). I was just curious what everyone else pays for their wax per case. For example, in another thread someone was saying that they paid between $70-$80 per case and another person replied that they would NEVER pay that amount for a case of wax. Just curious to see what everyone else pays is all:cool2: . I'm sure there is a huge difference in what people pay.
  24. ...for a case of wax (shipping included)? I don't care what kind of wax, where it's coming from, etc., just what you pay for one case (usually 50-55lbs right?) of wax with shipping. Just curious:D
