  1. I use the wick stickums from BCN with no problem at all in my palm. I've never had a wick slip.
  2. That sounds great! Congratulations!! Your website looks great too:D .
  3. Good to hear!!I'm going to place a sampler order and I wanted to see if anyone had tried them yet. Thanks!
  4. Has anyone tried any fo's from the candle source in palm wax?
  5. Hhmm, so this does seem to be a common problem with the glass glow then. I got it fixed with the frost palm, maybe I'll just have to go back to that then. Thanks for all the input on this everyone!
  6. I ordered a bag of Glass glow from CS a little while ago to try. I have also tried the frost palm. When I made my frost palm containers, I added 10% soy to soften it up a bit because it was slipping right out of my container. I have a straight sided container. Adding the soy worked. Now, I just made a candle using the glass glow and also added the 10% soy but it is so hard and would slip right out of the container if it wasn't for my wick stikum holding it down! Is there a way to get this wax to adhere better to the container? Would heating the jar up before I pour the wax in work?(I did not do that). TIA!
  7. OH YES!!!! It helped so much, thank you!
  8. Does anyone have a chart of some sort to give to your testers for rating/commenting on what they think? After discovering that I have candlenose , I have decided to get some testers (family/friends). But, I'd like a little more information from them than "Sure, it smells great.". Or "yup, I could smell it". What kind of info do you ask them to give you feedback on? Thanks!
  9. Has anyone compared the two? I want to start testing some more in palm, but CS always seems to be out. Pricing for me is very similar, so that doesn't make a difference. I'm going to order a little to try from candlewic, but I just wanted to see if anyone had any reviews comparing the two.
  10. Here is a label I think I'm going with. It looks a little more professional than my last one. Please don't mind the poor quality pic. I took it with my phone (My son has the camera at school today).
  11. Palm has a very unique look to it. It's sort of "crystalized". I could be wrong, but I don't think any other type of wax can produce that type of look.
  12. I don't color, so frosting isn't an issue. I also have never had a problem with bumpy, ugly tops like some people have. I pour at slushy, around 100 degrees (F) and they come out smooth and creamy every time.
  13. Yes I did, thank you so much!!! I checked them out and even though they are only a couple hours from me it's still right around the same price as the GB415 is from CS. The C-3 is just a more expensive wax. I don't plan on changing unless the C-3 is FAR superior than the 415. I'm used to the 415, so for now that's what I'll stick with I think.
  14. DeJae, thank you. Those are the exact jars I use too, so I thought a silver label would look really nice on them. They do! Yes, I think black would be nice too.
  15. Can you print color on silver labels? Just curious if anyone has done it.
  16. Ok, thank you everyone for all the opinions. I really, really appreciate it.I will work on my label and then post the two different fonts again ON the label. I don't sell (maybe someday) and I'm not even close yet. Heck, I can't even decide on which wax I like best!!! I have gotten all my fonts from print shop...can you use those for commercial use? I have like a bazillion to choose from, those are just the ones that are the most "modern", "hip" looking. I'll update you all once I've got the labels down. I have narrowed it down to at least the first two though, thank you!
  17. I should have checked in the first place, but I just figured out that it will cost me LESS to get the GB415 from North Carolina than it will be to get the C-3 from connecticut. The shipping is more for the 415, but the wax is cheaper than the C-3. So,No need to change waxes to save money I guess:) .
  18. Can anyone tell me if there is much of a difference in these two? I just found a really close place for me to get the C-3, but I currently use ezsoy. Does it have as good a scent throw as ezsoy? Any info or advice on this wax is appreciated:D . I did do a search, but nothing came up comparing the two.
  19. I love them all!!! Do you do them yourself or have them made? Great job!!
  20. It's called "ployed". I have it installed in Print Shop.
  21. Thank you! I also like 1 and 2 the best. But, you know, sometimes it's good to see how others see things:) . Thanks again!
