  1. I've had this great, very unique idea (so I thought) about how I'm going to make my b&b business different from the rest. I've been brainstorming and thinking about it for months and I have a lot done in regards to scents, labels, target market, etc. I've been thinking a lot and was really excited about it....until today. Now I think I'm going to have to revamp the whole thing. I discovered today, while at the mall, that another LARGE company is doing pretty much what I had in mind already. I had no idea! Would you even believe that the labels that I had thought up are extremely similar?! How weird is that?! Now what?! My idea was unique and I had put so much thought into it. I was sure it was going to be successful. Turns out the idea obviously is a success if this big company is having success with it. How did I not know about this?! . I feel so "lost" now and not sure where I want to take it from here now that I discovered my idea is taken already.....by someone who I could never, ever compete with! Has anyone ever ran into this? Any words of wisdom for me? Thanks!!!
  2. What do you think sells better? I've been researching and I really want to start experimenting with a bath and body product line but I'm torn as to whether to do the all-natural (ex. Essential Wholesale) products or go with some basic bases that aren't completely natural (ex. Bitter Creek).
  3. I'm trying to find a frosted container with a silver lid....does it even exist? Any size will do,but I'd prefer something no smaller than 12 oz. Thanks!!!!
  4. Hi! I'm fairly new to candlemaking so forgive me if I sound like an idiot I started off with EZ Soy, and I like it (although I don't know anything different). I have bought FO from BCN also and again I like them and they seem to work well in what I've tested so far. BUT...and a BIG "but"...I recently discovered JS FO's. I absolutely LOVE their scent choices. Although I have not gotten any yet, they sound very unique which is what I'm looking for in my candle line. I'm just DYING to try some! My question is, has anyone had any success with JS FO's in EZ Soy? Or would I just be better off switching my wax to JS 100% Soy? I am still in the very beginning of testing and I don't have much money invested at all in it so it wouldn't be a huge deal to switch waxes altogether and start over testing. I just think that I really want to use JS FO's and I want them to work in soy. Anyone have any opions or reviews for me? Thanks a lot!!!
  5. Oh boy, maybe candlemaking isn't for me then . I don't have thousands of dollars to spend on findng what wax works with what scents, etc.
  6. Great, thank you for the information!! Looks a little too "complicated" for me. All I want to do is make quality candles without having to spend thousands testing! Thanks again for all your help!
  7. Hi! I am trying to decide where to start with my candle making biz. There is a company called Candle Wealth that has soy wax, fragrance, wicks, colors, etc already tested with one another. This appeals to me so I wouln't have to waste money trying to figure out what works and what doesn't, but I don't know anything about their candles in regards to how they smell, etc. Has anyone ever used their wax and fragrances? Also, a while ago I had requested some information from someone about Mia Bella Candles and they had sent me several samples. The smell from them are AMAZING (they are already made though, you just sell them) and I'd like to be able to make a comparable candle. Do you think it's possible? Thanks!!!
